Lovely little shop in Santa Fe with amazing looking and tasting chocolates!!! I almost didn't want to eat them because they are so beautiful! But then they are just delicious! Cute shop with beautiful clothing products and decadent chocolate truffles. My friend and I dropped into this store because we thought it was cute and wanted to check some clothing out (they sell high quality cashmere there...check out their website!). But then...we also saw they also offered some truffles that were made by the store, too. So, we got 6 of them to try (about $3.5-$4 a piece...so not economical..but not too pricey either...for treats!). They actually seemed to have just good products in general. I ended up buying a chocolate bar that ended up coming from a local shop in SF Bay area..so I gave it to my SF friend so he could educate himself about a shop in his area and perhaps make it a visitor's visit when someone stops by for a visit Overall, great, cute store. Product may be a lil too high end for my budgets/typical spending in clothing categories..but hey..chocolate truffles...those I can afford! read more

Sometimes I see an item in a store and become obsessed with it. That was the case with a beautiful, long, multicolored, striped scarf at Chocolate + Cashmere. I saw it one day, walked away from it, then had to return 2 days later to buy it. At around $436 it's definitely the most expensive accessory I've ever bought, BUT worth it because it brings me so much joy. I also love that it has a lifetime guarantee. This was a cute shop, but definitely marketed towards a different audience than me. Tourists would enjoy this shop. I ordered a tea and had a milk alternative, but there wasn't a clear list of what they are available and should be posted more clearly along with the menu. Cute names are fun, but when you aren't familiar with the offerings it can be hard to determine what you are ordering. The baristas weren't nearly as friendly as I would've hoped but the person running the chocolate side was wonderfully helpful, cheerful, and informative. read more

What a fun, SWEEET little shop! The cashmere was beautiful, but we went for the chocolate, baby! And that is what we got. We tried some really fun flavors and they were so beautifully put together (see pix). Strawberry balsamic, lavender salted caramel, one that tasted like key lime pie. Lots of interesting flavors. I'm allergic to all things wool, so just eyeballed the stunning cashmere in a rainbow of playful colors from a distance. Also some pretty pieces of curated jewelry and other accessories. If you like Quality, feminine, tasty interesting chocolate, or color, this is definitely worth a stop. Owner also was quite lovely. read more

A beautiful and tasteful shop! A must see and a must have for the chocolate. Be cautious with bringing little ones inside. We were greeted and treated very standoffish and snobbish... the woman was beautiful and studious but very RUDE. I was surprised!! I live here in Eldo and have been in a few times. I always take guests that come visit us from out of state inside to get a bit of chocolate after we eat at The Shed. Please note that it's ALWAYS better to greet people with kindness and a welcome attitude. It made the rest of our day feel a bit "off" because of the atmosphere inside Chocolate&Cashmere. However, we did enjoy our chocolate. Maybe put a sign up if you don't want strollers or let patrons know if there is a concern verbally instead of giving dirty looks, sneering, and making passive aggressive comments. All the above being said... I was replied to with the kindest response that addressed the issue and also an offer to give a $50 gift card. Just walked out of this store. Firstly, I've lost close friends to Covid. Therefore I've been overprotective of myself & others. My friend & I entered with masks on, & gentlemen walked in behind us. He was adjusting his mask over his nose, when the "customer service" (and I say this tongue in cheek) person, said in a stern voice to him "Put your mask over your nose!" He said, "I'm sorry I was just doing that". She replied sternly "keep it on the entire time"! No welcome, no hello, no "can I help you? I walked over & just pulled my mask down below my nose to smell a candle. BIG mistake. She yelled across the store, "Put your mask back on now"! I apologized. She then said "Smell it through your mask"! I said "Well, if it helps you to feel comfortable we've been vaccinated & know to keep our masks on." She said, very sarcastically, "Well, I haven't , so keep you mask on the entire time" I'm conscious that retailers are concerned about contact passing of the virus & the consequences they incur. yet, she was completely over the line with how we were treated. NONE of the other retail service providers treated us as rudely as she did. Needless to say the gentleman left immediately mentioning that he wasn't going to support an establishment where he's treated so rudely. We also walked out as well. I consider myself a craft gourmet chocolate connoisseur......this shop blows every other chocolatier away. Visually, the smells, and the tastes, everything is incredible! It is an art explosion in your mouth!! Savor them slowly and the many subtle tastes will give you a braingasm. I had to have them send a box of 30 in the mail once I got home. You would not believe it, but they are made by a very handsome, humble young man of 17 years old, Juan Pablo. I expected someone with years in the business (which he has), but not so young. He was kind enough to spend some time with us educating us and giving some incredible recommedations. What a wonder shop, out of this world chocolates, and superior customer service. Upon walking in and adjusting my mask, the person working shouted "keep your mask on!" I apologized for adjusting my mask, and noted that I wasn't taking it off. The staff person continued to speak in a rude and arrogant manner. Perhaps this person was having a bad day, or perhaps they have so much much business that they can afford to be rude. Rude and overpriced!! You can fine this low quality cashmere for far less pretty much anywhere. I walked in and went straight toward a candle which I thought might be nice but I wasn't allowed to smell it due to COVID and mask issues. I am totally % fine with that however the woman at the desk is just so rude about it! It's not political, I'm simply not going to purchase a candle that I can't smell.....Mind you I never mentioned a word about the mask situation or got upset about it at all.....I moved forward and decided to purchase some of the displayed chocolate........when I asked her if I could choose an assortment she yelled at me and asked me to leave. They deserve 10 stars! When in Santa Fe last spring, I bought my wife one of their gorgeous ponchos. My wife has gotten lots of use ut of it, and a multitude of favorable comments. A couple months ago, she wore it out to dinner (nice to be able to throw over her bare shoulders in an air-conditioned restaurant) and I noticed a small hole in it, quite possibly from a moth. My wife thought it was going in the trash. I told her I would try and find someone who could re-weave the hole....kinda a lost art. I called GoLightly, and asked them if they knew of anyone who could repair the poncho. They kindly told me to send it to them, and they would repair it. I was afraid to ask what this service would cost, but since my wife likes it (and I think she's worth it) I sent it back. Yesterday the poncho arrived....as good as new. Service like this just doesn't exist anymore.....except here!!!! read more

My sisters and I needed a gift for Mother's Day, and we don't live nearby. They didn't have a delivery service, but, the woman on the phone said she'd figure something out. The chocolates did get delivered, and they were the most beautiful chocolates our mother has ever seen (she's seen a lot, and she's an artist). I loved the selection of chocolates in a little mini greenhouse like thing, and I found the sweater of my dreams... but while the former were unique & yummy, the sweater was $325. Sooo. My lil shoulders will just have to be chilly until the day I can afford cashmere. A must have piece of clothing! Everyone should have at least one piece of cashmere in their collection, and this is the place to get it from. A beautiful piece of locally made couture. A great selection of hand made chocolates too. We were there for the cashmere, and we were not disappointment. Vibrant colors, soft, warm and well made with cool modern designs.... I was told that the cashmere is imported from Scotland or were ever the best cashmere wool comes from, and then woven into products, just up the road. My husband was at Boy Scout Philmont Ranch and on the way home back to California stopped in Santa Fe. He walked into C&C and thought chocolates were so pretty that he bought me a small box. When he got home, he gave me this pretty box tied with a pink bow. The chocolates inside were pretty, but when I ate one, WOW! Delicate, yummy and special was what I thought about these chocolates. Do not waste your time or money at this store! The first time I tried to shop there, the owner was shutting the door on me as I was walking in and rudely told me she was closed. I tried asking if she would be open the next day as it was Sunday, she ignored me and slammed the door shut. I figured she was just having a bad day, so I went back the next day because I was interested in trying the chile chocolates. Upon entering, there was nobody in the store except for me and she was in the back by the register, no greeting or acknowledgement. As I'm browsing, she loudly asked me if I have a thicker mask to wear (I have on the same mask that cleared airport security and follows airline requirements). I simply walked out of the store without saying a word back. After reading the other reviews, the owner is clearly unfriendly and does not value patrons. Stay far away from this shop, very negative energy! There are many other welcoming stores in the plaza who appreciate your business. read more
