I don't understand why customers are being charged for a service that is normally free, especially when the issue is that the store's equipment isn't working. She told me how they went above and beyond any level of customer service I have ever heard of from a shipper (and I work at an auction house in NY so I have vast experience with shippers!!) They not only came to his unit with boxes so he didn't have to bring everything to their location but they were incredibly helpful throughout the whole process. Communication was easy and they really made the entire transaction completely seamless. The price was very fair. I just want to emphasize the fact that not only did they do a stellar job with the pickup and the customer service, but these owners were kind and helpful to a degree that is rarely seen in businesses these days. The situation was a challenging one and they offered solutions, compassionate advice and were just lovely in every way. It is one thing to be super helpful and generous with someone you are assisting in person but in this situation, all of the transactions were over the phone with someone out of state (except the pick-up, of course).
