I have only used this store twice; however, I am very impressed. Their staff is knowledgeable and friendly and their prices seem to be the best around. They offer 150% price protection if you do find it cheaper. It seems like it is only online, but it isn't. You can search online and purchase online but I like to see things first. I went to the scuba.com showroom on the advice of my scuba instructor to get personal gear to get started (working on my open water PADI cert right now). The staff was very knowledgeable and professional, and the showroom was a fun experience. The prices are also better than I've seen at other local scuba stores, with a huge selection. I'm Rating on the showroom service since Most of the business I do is in store. The customer service is Good and the representitives are helpful in finding alternative items if what I am looking for is not exactly right for me or not in stock. Some of the items I have looked for appear to be in stock on the website but are not in stock in the showroom, but there is usually sometime very close to what I was looking for. Overall this is a great place to shop and noone can beat the prices. I like the store so much I drive almost an hour about twice a year or more to make purchases. read more

I went to the warehouse for this first time today and it was awesome. I like the system they use, the employees are knowledgable, professional and friendly, and they truly don't mind how much stuff they pull out of the warehouse for you to check out. I was shopping for a mask, and I originally asked them to bring out 6 or so. Many did not fit my face properly so Darrick (an instructor there) asked what was wrong with the fits, then brought out another 4 or 5 for me to try. All in all I spent maybe an hour or so there and only spent about $150 (you divers know that is a pretty minimal expendature for hanging out in a scuba warehouse) and was giving a tremendous amount of help despite my low sale. They truly want you to leave with what is right for you, not the most expensive item. read more

And unlike other on-line stores, it also has a full service repair area and tank fill station. Was looking a simple setup for a pony bottle. Found their website online and learned that there was a store near me, so decided to drop in and see if they had one in stock. Wasn't sure if I was at the right place until I noticed the humorous signs that direct you to the boutique style shop. The "store" is not your normal dive shop layout, rather this has screens on the walls showing various products and dive related videos. I was pleasantly greeted before I made it down the hall to the actual room that had the computers. Yes, computers. You look at the website, pick your item, or have the person helping you find it. They quickly confirm if it is in stock, or if it will needed to be ordered, then ring the bell an another person brings it out so you can check it out. Since I was there I started asking some questions and was provided extremely helpful information from someone who actually dives actively, rather than a salesperson that really doesn't know what you are talking about. I explained what I was looking to do and he made several helpful suggestions, brought out a few items for me to look at to have a better understanding of what he meant. He then helped me properly fit the pony pack and even suggested a better set of fins that would reduce the stress on my knees, but still give me some speed when I needed it. The items I was looking for they had in stock and only a few of the truly odd things would they need to order if I wanted them. I was told it would take 1-3 days. That is fast when it comes to ordering. Clarke, my salesman, was informative, relaxed and didn't pressure me to buy something based on the dollars, but rather if it was what I needed and would work for what I wanted. He actually recommended a lower priced product, due to the modifications being more than I would need. They will have my return business and my shopping list grew from that trip! Not only does this company have an excellent selection of gear, but the scuba.com folks are great. I met Clark "The Shark" on a dive trip last week and he was super. He was very knowledeable about diving, and made student safety a priority. Since it was Halloween, he even dressed up as a penguin and a lobster, on two of the dives. This shows he has a sense of humor and enjoys diving and people. Often you get an instructor who doesn't appear to care about any of that. Anyway, he's good, and the company is good. Check 'em out. Great selection of items on their website. I've placed about half a dozen orders from them over the last year. They offer a lot of specials, especially through their email list. All the orders I've placed except one have gone off without a hitch. In one order, there was a backordered item. They were really good about it when I called about the order but I would have appreciated a more up-front approach to let me know what was going on. Other than that, I've had some really good experiences. I've never had a problem with any of the items I've ordered and am happy with their selection. I liked the ease ability of picking items out on a computer, selecting them and then pressing a button for a sales rep to bring the items to you so you could check the items out, try them on or see if the item is a good fit into your dive gear.
