Was very excited to try this place! Got there and the menu was great with so many choices and sweet treats! my bf got the banoffe waffle, he was immediately disappointed when the waffle was only reheated & not made fresh! it also didn't help that there is a chipper next door so even with all the sweets and ice cream, all you can smell was that! Every bite he had he tasted battered sausage!! I just got a tub with fudge pieces, marshmallows and snickers sauce! Sounds amazeballs but tastes like....eh now how do I put this nicely "pony" Also I have tasted much better ice cream (it just wasnt creamy enough) so overall experience was very disappointing! What ever happened to the good old conventional 99!! 2015 return of the 99 and green sauce!!

There are a few disappointed reviews on here and I think I know why: Scrumdiddly's is not, contrary to the name, really about the ice cream - it's about the toppings. Understand that, and that you're in for basically a posh and delicious McFlurry (in no way a bad thing) and you're laughing. Go mad piling your sundae with sauces and sweets and sprinkles - but if the ice cream itself is the main attraction for you, you want somewhere like Murphy's Irish Ice Cream. I like both!

Are you looking for the best ice cream in Dublin County? Scrumdiddly's is the first choice! The "coffee volcano" is my favourite.

Very clean very nice inside the ice creams and desserts well the pics will do the justice as looking at them made my sugar level rise lol. Being a diabetic myself I didn't go in for one but I was tempted. I decided on their truly delicious twisty fries. It's a local take away . And it really is a great looking place and great food. What let it down tho was that there was no menu up on the walls or inside u had to read the menus on the counter but apart from that defo bring the kids for an ice cream as the mauds ice cream looks amazing and the toppings are so varied.

As it was only 2:30 in the afternoon, I didn't expect a chipper to be that busy anyway but we were the only ones in there. I decided to go for the burger meal and my friend went for the burger deluxe or something along those lines. We waited 15 minutes for our food and when we got it, my burger was as thin as 3 pieces of paper stacked on top of each other with a tiny amount of ketchup on it. No joke! The fries were big wedge fries that weren't cooked through and were half cold in the middle. Of course neither one of us checked this out unit we left because we were eating on the road. Being hung over and desperate, I would have rather ate nothing than ate what I was served from there. Lesson: All chippers are not created equal. (Sigh)

You get to choose two of your favourite flavours (had vanilla and coconut first time and then vanilla and honeycomb today), which are scooped over a split banana and then topped with whipped icecream, drizzle the two aforementioned sauces and viola, heaven on a plate. I did ask for some nuts on mine today and was told I couldn't have any on this dish. Umm what? You scoop the nuts with your spoon and sprinkle them all over my ice-cream, sounds pretty straightforward to me... I would have paid extra if it came down to it, but I was scared to ask after the lady behind the counter told me no nuts for me. Also if the banana was a bit more ripe, that would be sweeter! €4 for the lovely dessert. Perfect after a spicy Nando's lunch.

For my second son I was served by the second woman wearing glasses, who was exceptionally rude from here on, she asked what flavour and then shouted TUB or CONE. I asked for a tub again, she asked if I wanted any toppings and I said chocolate, she put some chocolate sauce on it then my 3 year old son asked if could have some sprinkles, she refused to spread any sprinkles over it saying sprinkles go on before sauce, I said he doesnt care but she still refused, she then tried to charge me twice the price for it and i had to ask her why it cost twice as much as my 4 year olds son, she said it was a mistake and handed the cash back to me with out saying sorry or thanks or anything. In ireland we are used to people at least treating their customers with some sort of respect, but to behave like that and to refuse to put a couple of sprinkles on ice cream for a 3 year old child just simply beggars belief. NEVER AGAIN.

Long story short, I was on a trip to Portugal and Spain with my boyfriend (first time in Europe for both of us), and we decided to take a 7 hour layover in Dublin (because why not!). We have an unofficial mission to try ice cream in every new state/country we travel to, so when we saw Scoop, we decided to go for it even though it was still early morning. They hadn't set up the ice cream in the display yet since it was so early, but the guy helping us (more about him later) told us the range of flavors they had, and we decided to go for Cream and Pistachio. To say the ice cream was good would be an understatement, and I hesitate to say this because it's a bold statement, but this may have been the best ice cream/flavor combination I've ever had! The pistachio was complex, delightfully nutty, and didn't have any of that artificial pistachio flavoring that is unfortunately too common, and the cream was light, refreshing, and a perfect complement to the nuttier flavors of the pistachio. Ugh, I was in ice cream heaven. If I'm ever in Dublin again, this will probably be stop #1 (plus, it's the first place I officially visited in Europe so it'll always have a special place in my heart). Top off the amazing ice cream with even more amazing service. I really wish I remembered his name because he deserves all the credit in the world, but the guy behind the register was so personable, patient, and polite! Not to mention, he gave us a free latte to welcome us to Dublin. We ran into the owner (?) as well during the visit, who was also very warm and welcoming. I noticed that this location is currently unclaimed, but owners - if you ever see this review, open a location in the US please :D And thanks again for your amazing ice cream and hospitality!

I have a sweet tooth, so I went with Snickers ice cream and my husband with Oreo . They are both tasty, not really sweet (which is good); you can see big pieces of nuts, caramel or cookies. They also have crepes, waffles, milkshakes and other yumm things. Price is okay - i guess like everywhere €3,50 for 1 scoop(with regular cone) €4,80 -2 scoops -and so on - you can see almost all prices on my photo!

Finally, my husband leaned over him and pointed to it on the computer screen. Then we were seated in the darkest corner of the restaurant with a horrific speaker thumping undefined "music" above us. The papadum were good, fresh. The condiments were not, one sickly sweet, the other a spicy and sweet attempt at lemon pickle. The beef kabab appetizer was unrecognizable. It reminded us of scrapple--chopped, mushy (you could mush your fork into it like mashed potatoes) ill-spiced shingles of mystery. It bore no resemblance to its description-- it wasn't grilled and it in no way resembled beef tenderloin. Or a kabob. It sat on a sweet sauce that begged the question, why? Entrees were ridiculously small , not seasoned properly or even as described, and do not come with rice -- for $25 each. The Naan was fresh and passable. Overall: This was not good food. The servers most looked confused. The owner/front of house person was not very hospitable. I hope there's some competition for this place, soon. There's a gaping hole in this culinary category.
