Popped into Gino's today for a crêpe as it's Pancake Tuesday and felt like a wee treat after a long day at work. It was crowded, probably due to the occasion, and the system for queueing seemed very chaotic. Watching the server make the crêpes make you realise just how little goes into each one. I saw the crêpe maker slice a tiny banana in two and then cut tiny slices off it (no bigger than 5 cent) and put them around half the surface of the chocolate. If I were paying 6.90 for a banana pancake, I'd expect at least a whole banana! I was planning to order one with fruit but having seen this, I changed my mind and went for Nutella instead. Again, you get the bare minimum of topping and the crêpe itself was so sweet. I won't be going back to Gino's in a hurry. Must try harder!

Good spot for a late night sweet craving! The fruit and nutella crepes were fantastic and my husband enjoyed his ice cream.

Great gelato. I had the honeycomb and caramel. Delicious. They also has some fresh made crepes which I did not try but looked excellent.

Strawberries and Nutella and all, oh yeah!" :) They were without question- the nicest desserts I've ever tried.

This place is just pure novelty value…read more €5 for a Magnum is a little excessive but the experience of choosing your base, coating and toppings kinda almost makes it worth it. Kind of. Staff are great. Very friendly. You choose vanilla or chocolate ice cream, then what type of chocolate to cover your ice cream base, then 3 toppings [marshmallows, rice crispies, nuts, rose petals, chilli flakes etc. etc.] and then a drizzle of a different type of chocolate to top it off. Personally I probably wouldn't do a repeat performance of this. I would rather a caramel sundae from Mc Donald's for a third of the price. Fun though. A pure novelty experience.

But after visiting here I feel like the idea was definitely better than the reality. It took me a little longer than I hoped to try it out and as it was only there until the end of August I made it my business to get in there and see what all the fuss was about! There was such a long queue when I got in there that I couldn't really get a good look at what was going on so I was nearly at the top of the queue when I saw the price, €5, which I thought was a bit much! You pay at the beginning and then one of the guys will call you when there's an available station (I think there was about three). You then get to choose whether you want white, milk or dark chocolate as your base before you get to choose your three toppings and a chocolate drizzle for over the top. What I didn't like was the way I felt really rushed when I got to the top after waiting for so long in the queue. I was asked what three toppings I wanted, as if I should already know what the choices were, and then when I was asking about them it was as if I was delaying the whole thing. I opted for ginger nut biscuit, meringue and almonds as my three, with a white chocolate drizzle over the top. The ice-cream itself was tasty, you get it in a little tray with a spoon which is a really good idea because it's quite messy. The chocolate was nice and thick and the ice-cream had started to melt a little by the time I got to eat it which made the whole thing a little gooey. Would I go back though? No! At the end of the day it's just a €5 magnum and with the conveyor-belt style of service, it's not really my thing!

Spent maybe about 20 minutes walking around until I finally spotted it. I've added a picture so maybe it'll be easier for everyone who sees this. They have many different flavors for the bubble waffle but since I'm a chocolate person, I went with the chocolate dream. I would NEVER pay $10 American dollars for ice cream but this one is worth every penny! The waffle was made to order and I got to see him make the waffle and the rest of the cone. And when I say this thing is huge, it's HUGE!!!! Definitely got my $10 worth! Haha!! The taste......20 out of 10!! The waffle was so soft and fresh. The chocolate ice cream.....no words for how good it was. I'm not usually a fan of other flavors but this actually makes me wanna give the other ones a try. I strongly suggest making a stop here and getting a bubble waffle. I promise it'll be the best $10 you'll ever spend!!!!!

But read carefully and you can see two stores in one place: Bubble Waffle Factory (for the sweets and milk tea) and Street Food Factory (for savory options). The street food menu consists of a small but signature menu of beef brisket, beef tripes, and wonton noodle soup. And as a Cantonese, I had to say the quality exceeded my expectations. The beef briskets and beef tripes were braised thoroughly, super tender, rich flavor of spices and seasoning, while the texture of respective parts remained spot-on. The broth base also had great flavor. Portion size was good for the price. For the wontons, they were a bit smaller than the ones I had in another Cantonese place, and they seemed to have small or no shrimp inside, but the intense flavor of minced pork and the bouncy texture suggested the stuffing was of great quality, and the wrap was thin enough to melt in the mouth while also resilient enough to keep the wonton intact. My only wish would be that the noodles would be less runny and bouncier. But overall, I was very satisfied with this place.
