Pistachio and pretzel gelato in waffle cones.

Cute place with fun little Vespa seats. The service was nice and fast. The pistachio gelato was our favorite but the marshmallow treat waffle was also yummy.

The perfect night cap on a summer evening! I absolutely stuffed myself with the strawberry gelato! It was so good and fresh! The cones were heavenly with it as well! The staff was lovely and let you sample until you found what you liked!

    Strawberry, banana, Nutella crêpe

We got cherry and cheesecake ice cream and a Nutella and strawberry and banana crêpe! Both were delicious! The staff are very kind and helpful! It was so nice to enjoy them on the pier. A visit to Howth wouldn't be the same without a visit to Gino's!

    Review Highlights - Gino's Gelato

I got the sour cherry gelato which was good, but my wife got the Banana Surprise crepe with Nutella.

Dublin doesn't have a huge variety of ice cream/gelato options so Amorino is a great addition. They tell you you can get as many flavors as you want, which is a dangerous game for me. They have a lot of cup sizes to choose from. I kept it pretty tame and went with a medium size cup of straciatella, chocolate, and blueberry cheesecake. I loved all of these flavors. The chocolate was super rich and the real cream cheese in the blueberry cheesecake shined through. I wished there was more chocolate flakes in the straciatella - it was basically just a fresh and creamy vanilla. My husband got a daisy cone. They craft the ice cream into a flower. It's a cute gimmick, but I feel like you get more bang for your buck when you go for a cup. Plus, I'm not crazy about cones. Prices are pretty high, but with no better alternatives at the moment, we'll continue to come here for a special treat.

Not a lot of sitting space, but since it's in a shopping centre and very close to a number of public hangouts and tourist attractions, not a lot of sitting space is needed. There's no way to mince words here: they are overpriced. Granted, I am Canadian so it could be that I wasn't used to European prices, but I'm pretty sure it has more to do with the fact that they know many people passing through the doors are tourists who are willing to pay more than locals (or don't know better). For example, adding a standard-sized macaron to your ice cream cost 2 Euro; at my local Farmer's Market, where things tend to be pricey, a single macaron of the same size is 2 Canadian dollars. It's a discrepancy of about a dollar or half a Euro. That said, their gelato, sorbet, and macarons are all amazing. Both times I visited I got a medium-sized cone; admittedly, I loved the chocolate gelato/raspberry sorbet option so much that I got it twice, both times with a chocolate macaron. Beautiful presentation, as the "petals" are arranged into a flower and the macaron is placed firmly on top. Perfect on an unexpectedly hot day. tl;dr expensive but great atmosphere and food.
