Wow! What a hidden gem in the middle of Dawson street! I have walked by this place several times while getting off the bus on Dawson, and now I have regretted not going in sooner to get a scoop. The small shop is open to the outside, and you can see the menu just peering in. The blue and brown paint is very homey and inviting. The lady working there was super friendly, introduced their motto and where the name Sun Bear came from. All of their homemade gelato have no palm oil to help the endangered species of sun bears, which they have plenty of cute pictures of this fuzzy creature and even a lil' statue in the front. I ordered the vegan dark chocolate scoop, which is INCREDIBLE. It's so creamy and rich, I could hardly believe it was vegan. I also sampled their vegan hazelnut, which was a bit more sorbet-like but still delicious. I would absolutely recommend getting the dark chocolate! It was 2.60 euros for my ice cream, which relative to Dublin is fairly priced. I am looking forward to coming back soon and trying the rest of their flavors!

Dublin doesn't have a huge variety of ice cream/gelato options so Amorino is a great addition. They tell you you can get as many flavors as you want, which is a dangerous game for me. They have a lot of cup sizes to choose from. I kept it pretty tame and went with a medium size cup of straciatella, chocolate, and blueberry cheesecake. I loved all of these flavors. The chocolate was super rich and the real cream cheese in the blueberry cheesecake shined through. I wished there was more chocolate flakes in the straciatella - it was basically just a fresh and creamy vanilla. My husband got a daisy cone. They craft the ice cream into a flower. It's a cute gimmick, but I feel like you get more bang for your buck when you go for a cup. Plus, I'm not crazy about cones. Prices are pretty high, but with no better alternatives at the moment, we'll continue to come here for a special treat.

Nevertheless it was only…read moreabout five to ten minutes between getting into line and getting food, so props to them for managing the bustle. The ambiance and style are exquisite. Not a lot of sitting space, but since it's in a shopping centre and very close to a number of public hangouts and tourist attractions, not a lot of sitting space is needed. There's no way to mince words here: they are overpriced. Granted, I am Canadian so it could be that I wasn't used to European prices, but I'm pretty sure it has more to do with the fact that they know many people passing through the doors are tourists who are willing to pay more than locals (or don't know better). For example, adding a standard-sized macaron to your ice cream cost 2 Euro; at my local Farmer's Market, where things tend to be pricey, a single macaron of the same size is 2 Canadian dollars. It's a discrepancy of about a dollar or half a Euro. That said, their gelato, sorbet, and macarons are all amazing. Both times I visited I got a medium-sized cone; admittedly, I loved the chocolate gelato/raspberry sorbet option so much that I got it twice, both times with a chocolate macaron. Beautiful presentation, as the "petals" are arranged into a flower and the macaron is placed firmly on top. Perfect on an unexpectedly hot day. tl;dr expensive but great atmosphere and food.

Spent maybe about 20 minutes walking around until I finally spotted it. I've added a picture so maybe it'll be easier for everyone who sees this. They have many different flavors for the bubble waffle but since I'm a chocolate person, I went with the chocolate dream. I would NEVER pay $10 American dollars for ice cream but this one is worth every penny! The waffle was made to order and I got to see him make the waffle and the rest of the cone. And when I say this thing is huge, it's HUGE!!!! Definitely got my $10 worth! Haha!! The taste......20 out of 10!! The waffle was so soft and fresh. The chocolate ice cream.....no words for how good it was. I'm not usually a fan of other flavors but this actually makes me wanna give the other ones a try. I strongly suggest making a stop here and getting a bubble waffle. I promise it'll be the best $10 you'll ever spend!!!!!

The place is primarily a waffle/crepe, milk tea, and desserts front, and we did had a good bowl of…read moresweet milk with jelly and taro balls. But read carefully and you can see two stores in one place: Bubble Waffle Factory (for the sweets and milk tea) and Street Food Factory (for savory options). The street food menu consists of a small but signature menu of beef brisket, beef tripes, and wonton noodle soup. And as a Cantonese, I had to say the quality exceeded my expectations. The beef briskets and beef tripes were braised thoroughly, super tender, rich flavor of spices and seasoning, while the texture of respective parts remained spot-on. The broth base also had great flavor. Portion size was good for the price. For the wontons, they were a bit smaller than the ones I had in another Cantonese place, and they seemed to have small or no shrimp inside, but the intense flavor of minced pork and the bouncy texture suggested the stuffing was of great quality, and the wrap was thin enough to melt in the mouth while also resilient enough to keep the wonton intact. My only wish would be that the noodles would be less runny and bouncier. But overall, I was very satisfied with this place.
