It wasn't warm in September but everyone raves about this ice cream place so I had to check it out (yes, peer pressure works haha). I ordered a small cone with 2 flavors (lemon curd and Irish brown bread). You can try flavors as well, the staff were really lovely. The Irish brown bread tasted so good, really liked the bits of brown bread. I definitely have to come back to try other flavors.
Excellent! Definitely get the sea salt! The strawberry was similarly excellent. Delicious.
First impressions: I came in the cold weather (late October) but was craving some ice cream. The line was long but the service was wonderful because they had one person offering any samples and as many samples as you want to try. I was able to try all the flavors while standing in line and this made the whole experience fun and I knew I picked the best flavor once I got to the front. There even a cute swing and sign for taking pictures. Unfortunately not much seating The Noms: I picked the brown bread flavor and loved it. Very smooth and creamy and the texture from the bits of bread kept it interesting. Since I got to try samples of the entire menu, I knew I wouldn't be disappointed. In Conclusion: 10/10 would recommend!

While waiting in line, the workers gave us samples, which was very kind. It allowed me to figure out what I wanted to order, as well as try some of their unique flavors. I love that they have Irish-themed flavors, such as the Irish Brown Bread and Dingle Sea Salt. They were delicious and a great way to add an Irish experience onto getting ice cream. I ended up getting the honeycomb caramel and Kieran's cookies.Highly recommend!
Would highly recommend trying this ice cream while you're in Dublin! There was a line out the door, we probably waited for 15 mins. However, it felt like it moved fast because 2 workers were giving out samples while we were waiting. This is something I've never seen, but really appreciated! I tried the famous brown bread ice cream, chocolate whiskey, and sea salt in line. No matter which cone/cup size you get, you can get 2 flavors. I got the caramel and the cookie flavors. They were both delicious! I also dropped one of my scoops on the ground and the worker quickly took my cone to give me a new scoop! The only downside is the price, but it was worth it for the experience and excellent flavors. Big shout out to the workers for the great vibes and music!
Murphys is the go to stop for ice cream. Made in Dingle, the ice cream is creamy and delicious. I got the cookies and cream and chocolate medium cone and it was delightful. There is a long line, but while you wait the servers bring out little tastes for you to sample so you're ready when you get to the counter. The place is small and no seats, so expect to take it to go.

I didn't try Murphy's ice cream until my third visit to Dublin. But on my last night a couple of weeks ago, I had some extra time and I was close by so I decided to finally try it before heading back to my hotel for the night. The line was out the door, but I wasn't in a rush, so I didn't mind. The night was on the warmer side, and there was a beautiful sunset. I did read some reviews while waiting in line, and many people commented on the price and the few flavors. I am of the opinion that if you are a visitor, especially to a capital city, you are going to have to expect to pay higher prices for things. Also, this ice cream is handmade in Dingle, so you're also paying for quality - and I like that there aren't 20 or 30 flavors! We've become too spoiled and overstimulated with choices. Back to the business! The workers, all college-age, I imagine, were very friendly and every once in a while walked down the line offering samples and answering questions. They were extra kind and patient with the children and older people. That means a lot to me. It honestly was the happiest long line I've ever waited in - but I've noticed that about Ireland in general - that's why I keep going back! I ended up getting a small cone with 2 scoops - chocolate whiskey (awesome!!) and brown bread, they were both unique flavors and tasted good. The texture was very creamy. My total was 7.50, I paid 8, and the 0.50 she returned to me I put in the tip jar. The experience and ice cream were worth it to me.

During our guided beer and food tour of Ireland, one of the stops was the Murphy's Ice Cream parlor. So we took a break from beer and food and moved on to our final desert, a cold creamy cup of ice cream, and I wasnt complaining. They offer an optional waffle cone and ice cream sandwiches. This parlor was slammed with customers but we secured a private table for our small group in the back. The twelve flavors looked promising which included Raspberry, Jasmine Green Tea, Mango, Butterscotch, Honeycomb Caramel and a few others. With great anticipation, the server placed a cup of the Dingle Sea Salt mixed with the Irish Brown Bread. The rich creamy ice creams were a perfect combo.
On a rainy summer night just before closing, we were able to sample most of the current flavors and then bought four scoops (two medium cups with two flavors each). I can't back up the claim that they are the best ice cream in Ireland but I can tell you I liked it very much. Clearly made with fresh and high quality ingredients, it's lighter and fluffier than most American ice cream -- less rich and less sweet as well. Honeycomb caramel -- excellent and likely my favorite, the pieces of honeycomb give it a nice crunch Sea salt -- their most popular. Allegedly made from sea water collected at Bín Bán beach in dingle. Also excellent Chocolate Whiskey -- some whiskey ice creams only have a hint of the flavor but this one is quite strong, perhaps even overpowering. Strawberry -- very good. I might call this strawberry cream as it was the creamiest of all I tried Irish Brown Bread -- the first taste was sugary but it grew on me. I wish I had a bit more for final judgement. Mango Sorbet -- the only flavor I can't vouch for. Perhaps on a hot day. Would definitely get Murphys again.
Absolutely loved this cute shop! From the neon and highlighted colors and de or in andnoutside to the wonderful tasting ice-cream. The lady inside was a sweet heart and I went with my usual vanilla ice cream and all color sprinkles. The ice cream here tasted fresher and creamer. It was a true delight.
Some well travelled friends told us to make sure to have ice cream in each Irish city we visit in Ireland. There were right! You won't find common flavors on the menu at Murphys. Each flavor is special. We got the Dingle Sea Salt and Irish Brown Bread and both were excellent! Very different flavors and the ice cream itself is creamy and rich in flavor. You can choose from cup or cone - we went with the cone since it's made in house. Severs are very friendly and allow you to sample the flavors. There can be a line but it moves along nicely - plus you kind of need time to sample and figure out what you want to get. Highly recommend if you're in Dublin! read more
Coming to Ireland, of course I had to try Murphy's Ice Cream! It's made with fresh farm milk and local ingredients, and the staff is so patient and happy to let you sample as many flavors as you'd like. I ended up choosing the Dingle Sea Salt and Irish Brown Bread, and both were absolutely delicious. The ice cream was so smooth and creamy, with little bits of brown bread throughout. Such a unique Irish treat and definitely worth trying! read more

I love Murphy's! Their flavors are simple but unique, and there's not that many to choose from - meaning they do those few flavors well. We were strolling around the Grafton Street area and passed by Murphy's. It was a Friday, around 3:30. Even though it was busy, and a bit chaotic, the employees still took the time to greet us and even talk to us for a bit. Maybe that's a requirement if you want to work at Murphy's - that you have to be friendly, because we went to the Cork location and they were very nice there as well. Or maybe everyone in Ireland is just nice and I'm just a jaded New Yorker. Anyway, we went with a classic - the Dingle Sea Salt. It was very smooth and clean-tasting. If the ice cream shop was closer to our hotel, we definitely would have went (at least) once a day. So maybe it's a good thing that it wasn't! read more

Love love love Murphy's. This location is no different from the others, with a friendly staff and basically the same menu. This one does have a couple of tables in the back and a bathroom downstairs, which is good considering how crowded this location gets. Almost every flavor is a hit (I'm not a fan of rhubarb or marmalade, but everyone's different). Again, would recommend Dingle sea salt and honeycomb caramel. Both balance each other very well! read more
When in Dublin, you must get yourself a scoop of Murphy's Ice Cream. I first heard about Murphy's through Somebody Feed Phil, one of my favorite travel food shows. The flavors are pretty unique, each one having its own Irish twist to it. Flavors like Irish brown bread, Irish cream liqueur, and Dingle sea salt are all reasons why you should stop here during your trip to Ireland - you won't be able to find anything like it anywhere else! I opted for one scoop of the honeycomb caramel and one scoop of the chocolate whiskey. Both were absolutely delicious! The service here is great, the staff is very patient and generous with samples. The kind person working the counter even gave me an umbrella that had been left abandoned for a while, as I was soaked from walking in the rain. That was really sweet and I appreciated it so much. This shop is small with no real seating areas so I would recommend coming here and planning to walk around with your cup or cone. There's plenty to see nearby anyways. read more

Maybe the best ice cream I've ever had in my life. No exaggeration. Everyone in the family tried different flavors, but my favorite was the Dingle Gin. They told me they just "dump a bottle of Dingle Gin into the ice cream maker" and that's exactly what it tastes like! If you're a gin-lover like me, this will make your day... and maybe even your year. read more
Best Irish ice cream I dublin. Everything is made from fresh and natural ingredients. This ice cream really highlights how great Irish dairy is. The ice cream prices range from ~€6-9 I think. The service is extremely friendly and fun, you could taste samples before u make ur picks. They also have some seats, which is great for when it's too cold outside. They also have some ice cream pints to go and they sell small souvenir items as well. The flavors are great, they change up a couple of them every couple of months. Best ice cream in dublin in my opinion. It's a must try for sure! read more
At the recommendation of one of our day trip tour guides, my partner and I sought this ice cream spot out while we were in Dublin, Ireland. Their place was nice and clean. The staff were very friendly & were asking folks in line which flavor they want to sample which we thought was a genius move. The ice cream was so yummy that we went to this spot 3x in one week. Unique flavors (the Irish Brown Bread is a must try) and friendly staff that aren't bothered by ice cream indecisiveness :) They were more than happy to provide samples to help me and my friend decide. What a fun little ice cream shop!! It's very popular so the line is out the door but they come outside with samples of their flavors which was really nice and made the decision making process in their super quick. Got 2 scoops with the cookies and cream flavors and the chocolate whiskey flavor. All the flavors were super fresh and unique and just delish. Staff was also super fun and having a little jam fest with the music. If you're looking for some ice cream I thought this was a great little spot to pop into! read more

Seriously, I think this is my favorite ice cream shop of all time. Something about their sea salt ice cream was perfection for me. They have a ton of other flavors, and I really wanted to get a scoop of every single one of them, but I finally decided on the sea salt and chocolate. The staff is super friendly. As soon as we arrived, I was approached by a staff member who invited us to try different flavors which was really awesome. If you're in Dublin, definitely try this place out for some delicious ice cream. read more

Who doesn't love mixing flavors?! You get a taste first. Anything you want to try, the staff happily gets you sample. The staff is so friendly and loves to discuss the ice cream and all the flavors and where it's from and how they will switch out certain flavors. I had the chocolate whiskey and the coffee. Delicious! Hand made in Dingle. A must stop on your journey! Don't forget to sign the guestbook! read more
This is my favorite ice cream shop in the whole world. Get the sea salt flavor! You won't be disappointed. This is the only place on our week visit to Ireland that we REvisited! The employees are amazing and nice to talk to. They're really helpful, give you tastes and will answer your questions. Their store is clean and they keep it flowing in a nice way so even if it's busy it doesn't feel like it. read more

A must-visit spot in Dublin! Love the unique flavors and the service was awesome. Super friendly staff. They helped me pick flavors to try and walked me through the best-sellers. Cute space to sit and really bright decor. Definitely treat yourself to a couple of scoops, and don't skip the Brown Bread flavor! read more

The ice cream is very good. We arrived and there was a line, which meant it is worth the wait. Line moved quickly and they would come out and give you samples, to help you decide. We had the chocolate whiskey paired with butterscotch and gin with raspberry which were their recommendations. read more
