I have been a customer at this Laundromat for almost 2 years. I usually go once or sometimes twice a week. I am always polite and respectful. The female staff is very professional. But I do have valid complaint regarding the manager who also owns the business. Today I did my laundry in an older machine. It's at the back row and 4.00. Because it was very busy , it was the only machine available, so I put it xtra clothes in the machine. This is the only time I have done this. I'm not the only customer who has done this and I most likely won't be the last. After loading the machine I went to sit outside , and then when I returned , the lid of the washer was up. The manager was at the sink and instead of saying to me, "Excuse me miss but you put too many clothes in the machine. Please don't overload next time". But he proceeded to communicate to me in a very condescending way, that was rude, and belittling, and rolling his eyes at me like I am completely stupid. Then he proceeded to tell me that the engine of the machine was giving off an unpleasant odour can't I smell it, and it's ruining the machine. And because of me the cost of doing laundry goes up for everyone. ( lol... all because of me heh lol) There was no odour. That machine is used over and over again, so for me overloading , is not going to be my fault. So then I asked him if it's ok if I put the lid down of the washer, so the wash could finish, there were 4 minutes left. He replied " Oh... what are you trying to ask me now?", in a snitty rude arrogant voice. Then he says " Oh and that's not washing." and rolls his eyes , shakes his head and rudely walks away. He also said that my clothes would be soaking wet when I take them out. My clothes were washed My clothes were not soaking wet. This was a very humiliating way to be treated. We were traveling from California for a 10 day trip to Vancouver/victoria. We had an unexpected room change that didn't have laundry accessibility which we were expecting. So we came by here, were able to drop an entire load off they did everything for us and called us later that afternoon to pick it up. Everything was folded neatly in bags. It was great! read more

When I required a laundromat to use regularly for my sheets and towels, I first went to Scrubbys to see what machines were offered. The attendants said I was welcome to use any front-loading machine and to bring it all in. Scrubbys is clean, comfortable and a number of machines to choose from and I was very pleased. Now, about a year later, I find myself suddenly banned from using the front-loaders, because I'm not bringing enough laundry in to fill the machines up properly. Apparently this is too hard on the machines and the belt drives are damaged with too-little laundry. I met with the same technician that offered me any machine a year earlier, and he was now adamant that my laundry loads were too small and that I was no longer welcome to use any of the front-loaders. I can use the 1980's-style top loaders if I want. So I'll take my heavier laundry elsewhere, where they don't have these restrictions and are more welcoming for my business. I might come occasionally to use the 1980's top loading Maytags. Very disappointed in this customer interaction. read more

I do my everyday laundry in the machines in the apartment building where I live. Today, I washed my comforter to Scubby's. Scrubby's is hands-down the best laundromat I have ever used in my entire life, and I would give it 10 stars if I could. It is huge, spacious, spotlessly clean, has tons of machines from single-load to double to triple to quadruple-load, and plenty of dryers. But the best thing about Scrubby's is the team of onsite attendants, all of whom are super nice, knowledgeable, and as helpful as anyone could ever be. I had no idea which machine to use, how to operate it, what temperature to dry my comforter at, how it would probably take; and all three of the staff helped me every step of the way. I strongly recommend Scrubby's without reservation and am totally confident that you will be delighted if you ever have the opportunity to do your laundry there! read more

I dropped off a small load of laundry this morning for them to wash for me I was told $19.50 for what was in the reusable grocery bag. went back to pick it up at 5 pm and was charged $42 because it was more than one load. ridiculous no one would make two loads out of the small bit of laundry I had. won't be back and I'll let our work crew know as well. Their drop-off service is consistently wonderful in more ways than I can possibly hope to state. Their turnaround time is often quite impressive, and in a pinch, they can work miracles. They're very good at dealing with special requests, and even remembering them! Everything is handled very well, and very professionally. Prices are extremely reasonable. And so on. Siobhan, in particular, is particularly warm, helpful, and reassuring. Trusting basically all of one's clothes to a stranger can be intimidating, especially if there's anything delicate or embarrassing, or if you just need to feel confident that you'll have them back in time for work the next day. Siobhan is friendly and professional in the right way to smooth out those worries, and to make a stressful or at least normally dreary interaction into a friendly and positive one. I look forward to my brief interactions with her; she's a delight. They'd be even better if they were 24 hours and, y'know, located across from my apartment building. Short of that, I can't imagine a better laundry drop-off experience, and the value-for-money is ridiculous. I wish they'd enable tipping on their payment system, because it's just ridiculous how little money it can cost to get all of my clothes washed, dried, and folded in keeping with all my various demands, in less than a day. Went there today for the first time and i have to say, that i am impressed. The location is clean, there are lots of washing machines and dryers but the main reason I am strongly suggesting you to go there was the staff! I have been threated so nice there.. the woman who was working there was very helpful and friendly. They have wifi there which i could use so my stay was very good. In addition my clothes are clean. I've been coming here for over a decade. Today I encountered an ableist, rude aggressive employee who refused to give her name. The owners were on site and made no moves to stop her, even when asked. It started when I brought 10 garbage bags of laundry in and placed my bags in front of washers I was loading and sat down. She asked if i planned to load them soon, i told her ineeded to sit for a minute because i have foot and back problems. Literally aat for less than 2 minutes to give my body a break. She moved my bags while i was loaing a different washer, then used that washer, when I told her I had planned to use it she got defensive, argumentative and used many obvious, derogaotory ableist comments including saying now you can rest your back and feet while you wait. I have plantar fasciitis, 2 herniated discs among other health issues. I also picked up on racist micro aggression and dismissiveness from both owners and rude female employee when confronted about it. Usually they have great staff but not any more. Unfortunately my laundry is already started so I can't just leave. Do not use this place if you are minority or disabled and want to be treated with respect. Never had this experience here but definitely will not use this facility again. Do not recommend if you are BIPOC or differently abled. read more

Definitely more expensive than I remember from my early years, $30 for wash and dry of 2 king and 1 queen comforter but we did use 3 huge machines. One could use 1 machine and wash A LOT.
