I freaking love brio, moving into an apartment with no wash and dryer really blowed, going to a laundry mat always sucks but It's always very easy going at brio. It's super clean, the workers are very friendly and helpful, and the machines are actually GREAT quality. I've never had an issue on that end. It's a little pricey, but I think compared to other mats, and the quality of the mat itself (washers, dryers, service, etc) it is so much better, for damn near the same price. Facility is obviously making money because condition of the machines and the atmosphere screams 'new money'...therefore you know the spin cycle is legit and the dryer is going to get the job done Otoh the smallest washer is 6.75$ for 24 minutes which is kinda robbery :) especially since there's about 49 washers overall which means at least 335$ potential profit in a day on washes alone , not counting 2/3 of those washers are medium / large size washers and cost more than 6.75 a load. Also they charge 1$ /8 min on a drier ... usually laundromats charge about a quarter or less per 8 min so it's ~ 4x markup for every 8 minutes ... that's a lot of surplus cash versus the average laundromat. I'm sure not all of it goes to maintaining the machines. Greeeeeeeeedy people with real estate bought using Biden bucks or daddy's money set up businesses and run them remotely at inflated rates this is why the economy is crashing ,, read more

I see some complaining about the prices at Brio, but when they remodeled a while back (to expand and add some XXL washers), I had to go to another place in town...which cost a few bucks more to get the job done with poorer equipment. Yes, Brio can appear to cost more, but they have the best quality machines...which allow for larger loads...which means you save money if you do it right. Yes, some staff can seem a little disinterested...who can be "on" and "attentive" all the time. Most of the staff are happy and ready to help. This place is great! How many launderettes can you think of where you actually look forward to hanging out and doing your wash??? read more

Your dryer always breaks at the most convenient time right? Here we are needing a laundry mat. We chose Brio in Bellingham since it's close to Trader Joe's and we needed to go there anyway. The laundry is clean inside with many washers and big commercial dryers. There are attendants on duty if you need help and need to purchase the necessities. It's a good place to wash clothes. I did see some shabby looking homeless types wandering in to use the bathroom which requires a code. The attendant just lets them have it. Because of that I wouldn't leave my clothes unattended. Prices per wash are high. I didn't see anything under $6 a load. Dryer time is 3 minutes per quarter. There is also a credit/debit option on each machine as well as a reloadable Brio card you can use. My new dryer gets delivered this week so I'm hoping no more laundry mat visits. read more

Wonderful, helpful, and attentive staff. We recently relocated to the Bellingham area and I had a large amount of laundry (8 contractor garbage full of dirty clothes, towels, and bedding to wash) that I needed to wash and dry. The attendants on duty were very kind and helpful and walked me through the process for how to use my brio laundry card. It was my first time in several years needing to use a laundromat to wash and dry my clothes. As we plan on permanently relocating to the area I also asked about the pickup and drop off service, which sounds like something we might eventually try. However, the only thing that the attendants weren't able to answer was what was done about people that would like the option of having your company wash and dry clothes for customers that happen to be allergic to basically every known laundry detergent on the market other than Arm and Hammer (in our case), and if we'd still be able to use the pickup/drop off services if we choose to do so. read more

We had a house fire, lots of smoke damaged clothing to get cleaned up. Not sure who could get rid of the smoke smell but... these guys (and gals) did it! We brought in about 50 pieces of clothing. We got them back so clean they looked (and more importantly smelled) new! They must have worked all night because we got it back the next day. I've tried the other cleaners in Bellingham and this is BY FAR the best. In a modern city like Bellingham people should expect more from businesses and this one certainly delivers. Just because the business is a casual one like a laundry doesn't mean it shouldn't be held to high standards and this one certainly holds itself to them. Brio is modern, well decorated, and very well staffed. Everyone I've seen work there is very polite and very helpful. They don't upsell you on the more expensive detergents and they're always going around cleaning. Most laundries I find extremely depressing, but this one has plenty of seating and plants to brighten the place up. There are multiple types of machines so you aren't forced to use something that doesn't have a high or low temp setting, and you can even use all in one washer dryers. Highly recommend. read more

Brio Laundry was recommended by a friend and fellow Yelper, and knew this was the go-to place for getting a few loads done. Brio is clean, friendly staff, lots of available machines, takes debit/credit card, and has free WiFi! This is a huge win! I did two loads, and went to the nearby Trader Joe's for a little grocery shopping while my laundry was washing. It evens let's you text the machine so you receive a text when your laundry is almost done! Clever! Our laundry took a shit a few weeks ago, so I was in for the laundromat. Honestly, last time I've been to one was ten years ago in Brooklyn, which to be honest, was pretty horrible. Anyways, Brio Laundry caught my attention because first of all, it had five star reviews and second, from the pictures I've seen, the place looked awesome. Prices are not bad either. I travel light -- check on luggage only -- and so do laundry partway through long trips. This often requires hand washing in hotel rooms. I was so thrilled to be able to use a state-of-the-art, environmentally conscious, clean, safe, inexpensive, and above all friendly business to do my laundry when on the road. Since our load was small, the whole thing (wash and dry) took less than an hour because the machines are so fast. They sold me an eco-conscious sheet of laundry detergent for $1; the entire effort costs $7.50. The staff person was friendly and helpful, and I bought lunch and supplies for our hike that day at the Trader Joe's next door while waiting for the clothes -- the laundry is located centrally in town. I am no laundromateur , but, were I given a space to offer my humble critique, it would say... Brio is the nicest laundromat in the world! If you purchase a Brio card, you receive a $5 credit for every $25 you put on the card! The machine's are in optimal condition so the cost is cheaper to dry and your clothes are cleaner even when I stuff the machines to the very brim! The staff is extremely nice and the place is immaculate. The atmosphere is inviting with darker walls, natural lighting that's indirect. There is plenty of parking. Saturday I overloaded my washing machine with six, huge bath sheets (huge towels) and oops the machine stopped. Sunday I drove to Brio! What a wonderful experience. This is NOT the old, dingy, dirty machines laundry. Brio SHINES! There is a variety of machine load washers available...some even hold six huge towels. There also is a variety of ways to pay - you don't have to bring rolls of quarters, you can use a credit card. AND, best of all there is a QUALITY attendant! She is able to guide the customer through the process of using the machines. I would not hesitate to recommend Brio to anyone needed a place to do their laundry. It's great! read more

This place is located in the same shopping complex as Trader Joe's. I came here to wash my oversized sleeping bag and the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The inside is clean and well lit. We found the biggest washer available and washed one sleeping bag for $8.50. I give this place four stars instead of five only because their biggest washer seems only slightly bigger than a large residential washer. read more

This laundromat is fancy! It is always very clean and fully staffed. They have many amenities that other laundromats don't, such as a sink, bathrooms, space to fold clothes, machines that take cards, wash and dry in one machines, plenty of seating while you wait, and more! They also have a drop off laundry and dry cleaning service, though I have never used it. Most laundromats are cramped, dirty, and uncomfortable to wait in. Brio is clean, friendly, and comfortable. Not to mention the fact that it's also beautiful! The inside looks like a trendy coffee shop. Their hours are long, 7AM-10PM, which is extremely accommodating. It's right next to Trader Joe's too, so I can do two errands at once by getting my groceries while waiting for my laundry. As someone who doesn't own a washer and dryer, I am extremely grateful to have a place like Brio in Bellingham. I can't imagine taking my laundry anywhere else. read more

I have so many good things to say about this place. I recently lost my home to house fire, and I'm embarrassed to say I've never been to a laundromat. I was intimidated and didn't know what to expect. The woman working the counter must have been able to sense my hesitancy as I did an initial walk through and she was genuinely happy to help me out. I've been back three times now and what really stands out to me is that every person who works there is SO kind, they seem to really want to help. The facility is clean, and the large barrel washers work so fast and efficiently, I can wash my comforters and coats and jeans and dry them in under an hour! Honestly after my rebuild, I will still come here to do my laundry on big load days for the speed, the quality, and the outstanding customer service. Side note: you don't need to bring quarters, or soap! The machines take cards and they have a quarter machine you can exchange bills for coins. They sell single wash laundry soap and dryer sheets there too! read more

Recently someone close to me had some life challenges ... the laundry at their place had piled up so we took it to Brio. Instead of doing it ourselves, we decided to use the 24 turnaround service. I think they also offer 2- day service for a lower price. There was another option and I don't recall the other choices .. we chose to focus on stains. We basically walked the laundry in and dumped the massive pile on the scale. The options were unscented or lavender. There are a couple parking spots designated for drop off/pick up which is really nice as parking is kinda hard there. We got a text just shy of 24 hours later that the laundry was done! Everything came all wrapped up like a present with ribbon. There was a small bag with some miscellaneous "found" items included with the laundry and a sweet note. Definitely glad we chose to visit Brio.. we were able to use the time to focus on other tasks. It always feels like something is right in the world when your clothing is clean.. and it certainly helps in making a fresh start. Thanks Brio! My husband and I were visiting Bellingham and found the positive yelp reviews for Brio Laundry. Those positive reviews were all accurate. The first thing that struck me when we walked in is how spacious the laundromat is. There are various sized machines with prices listed. We chose a large machine for $7/load and were able to fit all of our dirty clothing, coats, and sweaters from a week of traveling (4 standard loads). I had wanted to try Nellie's All-Natural detergent for over a year, which I purchased at the desk. Brio Laundry provides various brands of detergent and drier sheets. The laundromat staff is courteous, and even helped us with a card reader issue. The inside of the laundromat is set up like a coffee shop with easy-chairs, benches with stools, and various other seats. I would highly recommend this laundromat to anyone that needs to get laundry done. read more

What do you do when you've got Mount Washmore in your hallway and the dryer starts making a horribly loud noise (with no repairman in sight)? Well, you go to Brio Laundry of course! I'll admit I've been fascinated with this place since it opened up a few years ago. I'd heard good things about it but, being firmly ensconced in domestic life and its accompanying front-loaders, had never found a reason to actually visit...until now. So I loaded up the ol' family truckster with enough laundry to clothe a small continent and headed down to Brio. I was quickly greeted by the pleasant and friendly Lisa. She gave me a quick tour of the many machine options before me - everything from single-load to double-load, triple-load, quad-load, and MONSTER-load washers, with large capacity dryers along the back wall. Oh and there are even some machines that do both, as in wash *and* dry - who knew?! What really blew me away, though, was the fact that all of the machines take debit/credit cards. What a nice feature for someone like me, who rarely carries a lot of cash. So I tossed Mount Washmore into a four-loader (yes, ALL of my laundry fit into ONE big machine), swiped my card, and did what any good Bellinghamster does when waiting for laundry to finish: headed on down to nearby Kulshan Brewing for a cold one! Lucky for me, the washer even texted me when my load was ten minute from being done. By the time I got back it was ready to toss into the dryer, giving me just enough time to poke into the neighboring Trader Joe's for some groceries before heading back to fold everything. I noticed they also have a service where you can drop off your laundry and they'll wash/dry/fold it for you. How awesome (and tempting) is that? Maybe someday! This place is so awesome that I'm honestly thinking of not even fixing my dryer. It's clean, the staff is friendly, and they have free wi-fi! read more

Wow, this place is amazing. Apparently it has been a long time since I last did laundry at a laundromat. Gone are the days when you had to get quarters or have paper bills that needed to be fed to the change machine. This place still allows old timers do that, but each machine also accepts credit cards, all credit cards. The high capacity, front loader, washing machines have a liquid crystal display (LCD) that lets you set the temperature and type of wash cycle. Once you lock the door it doesn't open until the cycle is complete, which means no one can walk off with your clothes. The washer will text your cell phone 10 minutes before the wash cycle is complete, so you have plenty of time to return to your machine to collect your clothes. Send a text to the phone number and code on the washing machine display. You will receive a text notification 10 minutes before your laundry is done. Unfortunately, the dryers don't have the same texting/notification feature, but that is okay since it won't take them much time to dry. The washing machines are so effective at removing the water from your clothes, you probably will only need 15 minutes to dry them. Fifteen minutes was all the time it took most of my items. There were a few items from two of the batches that were still damp in a few places, so I threw them back in for 15 minutes while I folded the rest of my clothes. Dryers cost 75 cents per 15 minutes. Washers were about $6.75 a load. While you wait, you can have a seat and enjoy the free WiFi or head next door for shopping or coffee. There are tall metal baskets on wheels for transferring your wash to the dryers and from the dryers to the folding tables. An employee on staff is busy keeping things clean and answering any questions you may have. I was fortunate to come on grand opening day and meet the owner who helped me navigate the high tech facility. I have to say, this is the first time I have enjoyed doing my laundry, and I even look forward to returning. read more

This place is so clean and very well run. Machines are Electrolux and some wash and dry for one price. Owner was there and instructed me how to use the washer. She and staff checked on all customers several times. Bathroom was extremely clean and they do your laundry by the pound. Walked into Trader Joe's while laundry running so hit two places. So I have my own washer and dryer in Bellingham, however at the moment my washer is out of service (currently waiting on the repairman and some new parts!). So as a household we were starting to pile up our laundry over the last week. Today me and my mom came to Brio cause we desperately needed to wash some towels and clothes, and the moment we walked in we were impressed with how clean and inviting this laundromat is. It is well lit, big windows, modern machines with a variety of washer sizes depending on how much you need to wash. The machines take credit card, so no need to save up your quarters, and the attendant made sure to come around frequently to make sure everyone found a machine for their laundry. It was busy, but thats to be expected on a Saturday afternoon, however my mom and I easily found an x-large machine to do our laundry and we enjoyed the free wifi as we waited. TL;DR: Don't waste your time going to any other laundromat in Bellingham. Hands down the best laundromat I've been in. read more
