I have been a customer at this Laundromat for almost 2 years. I usually go once or sometimes twice…read morea week. I am always polite and respectful. The female staff is very professional. But I do have valid complaint regarding the manager who also owns the business. Today I did my laundry in an older machine. It's at the back row and 4.00. Because it was very busy , it was the only machine available, so I put it xtra clothes in the machine. This is the only time I have done this. I'm not the only customer who has done this and I most likely won't be the last. After loading the machine I went to sit outside , and then when I returned , the lid of the washer was up. The manager was at the sink and instead of saying to me, "Excuse me miss but you put too many clothes in the machine. Please don't overload next time". But he proceeded to communicate to me in a very condescending way, that was rude, and belittling, and rolling his eyes at me like I am completely stupid. Then he proceeded to tell me that the engine of the machine was giving off an unpleasant odour can't I smell it, and it's ruining the machine. And because of me the cost of doing laundry goes up for everyone. ( lol... all because of me heh lol) There was no odour. That machine is used over and over again, so for me overloading , is not going to be my fault. So then I asked him if it's ok if I put the lid down of the washer, so the wash could finish, there were 4 minutes left. He replied " Oh... what are you trying to ask me now?", in a snitty rude arrogant voice. Then he says " Oh and that's not washing." and rolls his eyes , shakes his head and rudely walks away. He also said that my clothes would be soaking wet when I take them out. My clothes were washed My clothes were not soaking wet. This was a very humiliating way to be treated. I've heard the family who owns the two businesses has recently passed it down, or a new family has recently taken over or something, but that is no excuse to treat customers extremely poorly. I called and spoke with Rhonda regarding a wash and fold service. She was polite, courteous and…read morefriendly. A few days later I showed up unannounced with the laundry and some exacting instructions. Again she was very pleasant to speak with. She stated the delivery date and gave me my receipt. The day before the scheduled pickup she called and asked if I would like anything on hangers. I asked her to just stack everything up and she did. When I arrived to pick up the laundry she indicated that the whites and colored clothes were in separate bags in order to comply with my request to give back to me very very damp shirts, pants etc, anything colored. My clothes have zero smell to them. Everything was very clean, even the things I had worn camping that were quite soiled and smelled, had bug spray etc. Everything was perfectly neatly folded, even my underwear and socks were folded in individual little bags. She delivered according to my ask and to my 100% satisfaction, and with courtesy and kindness. This is definitely one the best if not THE best wash and fold experience I've had across the USA over the past 3 years. First time using a laundromat in over 30 years and I must say this was a pleasant experience due to…read morethe quality of the machines, ease of use once I mastered the technology and cleanliness. As stated the machines were great. Almost all machines were in working order and the large capacity made it quick because only needed one load instead of 3-4 I'm late 50s and it did take me a bit to download and figure out the app required to run the equipment. I did it though and it was not bad, so anyone else can too. Once I figured it out it was easy and convenient. I appreciated the cleanliness of the place.

I was a little nervous at first because it has been years since I used a laundromat... no coins…read morenecessary but that meant figuring out the app. There were a few signs around to help with this and, fairly quickly, I figured it out. The machines looked clean and worked quickly. I was able to do what would take 4-6 hours at home in about 1.5 hours. There was an attendant working and, while not interacting with customers, they swept and kept the place looking as presentable as possible.

They scrubbed and washed and worked in some magic cleaning formula, and it came out looking absolutely new and free of all the paint. I could barely believe it, but they did it. I was told I had to pay DOUBLE $29 to wash my two small dog beds in their large front loading machine. "It's our new policy you have to pay double to wash dog bedding" Should have only cost me $14.50!! The new owner came over and said sorry new owners new policy's. No sign nothing!! I was also told I could not wash my sons Nike running shoes- New "policy" I have been going to Squeakys for Years and am so upset how it was handled this afternoon. I went to the laundromat on Burnside and couldn't be happier not only did I just pay $14 I was allowed to wash the Nike shoes as well! Highly recommend checking out the laundromat on Burnside they were very pleasant and super helpful unlike Squeakys!!
