Five of my 20-year-old screens were severely damaged by the sun. The plastic corners that held the metal frames together were in bad shape, some were disintegrated. A few days ago I called (early evening) for an estimate / appointment, left a message and Craig called me back a short time later. He quoted a reasonable price and scheduled an appointment for next day I had available. This morning I received a text confirming the appointment. What a gem of a business! So thrilled to have found the Screen Doctors! We have the cutest little birds in our neighborhood that have taken a liking to using our screens to build their nests. I brought in two screens to be fixed, one had a bent frame. Craig put new corners on it to straighten it out, saving me the money and trouble of buying a new frame. Two weeks later I brought in my screen door. It had a torn screen, was without a wheel, and had a broken lock. The screen door is an odd size and would have cost a couple of hundred dollars to replace. Craig fixed it up within an hour, and it locked perfectly when I got it home. I have a giant screen on a giant sliding glass door that Craig customized for me 4 years ago. Since then, my cat tore the bottom and sides off trying to escape. I called Craig to ask if I he thought I needed to rescreen or if it was repairable. He was in the area and came by and fixed it within 5 minutes! No charge! He didn't even want a bottle of water! I started getting holes in several of my window screens and was dreading having to spend a lot of $$$ to replace all 7 of the screens. After calling around I got a few quotes and Craig's quote was significantly more affordable, and he was so honest and actually told me I don't need to replace the whole thing but just the netting part (basically just rescreen on existing frames). I called him on Monday morning and he was like I'm gonna be in the area anyway so I'll come by, and an hour later he came and took all the screens and by Thursday morning he came back with newly screened frames and installed them! Everything was so smooth, pleasant and affordable. While he was here he even offered to trim a messy backyard sliding screen door. He told me I don't even need to rescreen that one n said it was in good condition but just in need of a good washing (and proceeded to tell me steep by step how to do that). My screens look good but customer service was lacking. I repeatedly called to find out when my screens would be done. I dropped off my screens and left a note with my number asking when they would be done. I did not receive a call back. After another call Craig told me the doors were ready for pick up but the window screens weren't. He said he would have them delivered the next day it did not happen. I called again the next day to find out when I could get them back. He did respond and delivered them. I handed him a check and expected at least a thank you he just looked annoyed and left.
