Came in on July 5th because the establishment advertises 50 beers on tap. Also, we were told the pizza was great. The beer was great...I could tell they clean the tap lines regularly. Fairly priced as well. We ordered fried pickles and the NY pizza. The fried pickles were fine. Nothing to write home about. However, the pizza was awful...horrible...gross. It was definitely a frozen pizza with topping tossed on top. Crust was soggy on the bottom. We didn't order any other food because the pizza was so awful, so I can't comment on anything other than the fried pickles and pizza. Atmosphere was fine. I didn't mind ordering from the bar and grabbing my own napkins and utensils. I don't really like dealing with servers anyway. Come for the beer and the deck...stay away from the pizza. read more

pizza and wings are great love that it's super kid friendly and we were allowed to bring our little dog in many beer options and the wine was yummy too! perfect for families or larger groups as they had a couple long style tables the wings are the BEST (owner is sort of rude but she's been in the business for 30yrs so I probably don't blame her lol) read more

The one and only negative thing about this place is the kitchen, I would recommend renovating to make it much bigger and hire more cooks other then that food is amazing! Great bar, right on the water, in the winter great place to heat up and have some 5 STAR wings!! I've been traveling a lot and have had a lot of wings in my life and there is no better wings then here at the Screamen Eagle! If you are looking for a fancy restaurant with linen tablecloths and a snooty menu, then this is not the place for you. Screaming Eagle has made a lot of improvements over the years. Great wings, lots of sauce choices. Pizza also good, if you like a thicker, softer crust. Save room for pie, especially the chocolate cream with Oreo cookie crust! read more

On a very busy night, the waitress had about 5 pizzas to bring to our table and accidentally dropped one slice. She felt terrible and the owner gave us our money back for the whole pizza. I stood in line and mentally prepared my order as the bartender finished with the customer in front of me. I promptly stated my order as before I could say another word, the bartender snapped at me, "slower, please". I was appalled. She was telling me, the loyal customer, to slow down? If your goal is to drink 50 beers and do it cheaply, highly recommended. I only recommend eating the pizza after beer 10, when you'll actually want something horribly greasy and tasteless to sober up. Wings are pretty OK but small. Service is Adirondack friendly, meaning not very friendly at all, and the usual bartender is only good for a conversation about himself. Movie selection sucks also. On top of it all, it's dirty and run down. Go there, drink some beers, and promptly leave. read more

This place is a great hangout. The food is great and the portions are large enough to feed a group. The staff is extremely friendly and so accommodating. The garden pizza had so much broccoli on it (chopped to bits like broccoli dust) we thought we received the wrong order, and the veggies were raw on the pizza that arrived barely warm. That pizza was almost inedible. The crust was soggy, and there was barely any sauce/cheese. The garlic pizza however was outstanding. The table where we sat felt like sitting in a used video-rental store, and one seat at our table could not be used, as if you pulled the chair out from the table it would be hit by people coming and going through the screen door to the deck. It took an hour to get the 2 pizzas we ordered. The tables/chairs were dirty, and there were cobwebs in the fabric-blinds. We won't be returning. read more

My wife and kids were up in the Old Forge area to hike Bald Mountain, and after the hike nothing was better than the Screamen Eagle for some food. They had great pizza, good wings, and a huge selection of tap beers, many of them craft beer and local beers. They had an outside deck for seating too. I'd highly recommend it if you are visiting Inlet or the surrounding area! read more

One of the worst restaurant experiences I've had in a while. Dirty tables that no one would clean for us despite our asking, A garbage overflowing next to our table. We stopped here on the way home from Water Safari. After spending the day in the sun on water slides, we were looking forward to a decent meal and to get off our feet. We got neither of those at Screamen Eagle. The first thing you should know before you go there is that it is totally self serve. You order at the bar from a middle aged blond woman who couldn't crack a smile and be pleasant if she had to. You get your own drinks, find a place to sit and set your own table. Then you wait for an hour for them to bring you out soggy, disgusting pizza that tastes like it was frozen. We ordered garlic wings. I will say that the wings were cooked to perfection, however there was almost no butter or garlic on them. You couldn't even taste it. They were basically plain wings. The bleu cheese dressing appeared to be homemade. I'm glad we had it, otherwise our wings would have been completely tasteless. As far as price goes, it was around $60 for a large pizza, a small pizza, 12 wings and 5 fountain drinks. The problem I have with this is that now you have to leave a tip for a waitress who did nothing more than put the food on the table. That seems crazy to me when I had to do everything else. read more

As far as pizza, wings and subs go, you won't do better in the Adirondacks (and large parts of New York). While some reviewers have complained about the toppings, I think they're exceedingly generous and flavorful. The crust is excellent, crisp on the outside, chewy in the middle. It's a little wait for your pie but worth it. The wings are large, well flavored with various sauces (I like the Bourbon) and come served very hot (in temperature). Cheesy garlic bread is good but very garlicy. An order of each of the above fed our family of six for about $35, not including drinks or dessert. Nice selection of beer. Deserts are home-made and very tasty. You do pay for this, but no more than in any Adirondack restaurant. Atmosphere is tacky but who cares-you're there to eat after a day in the woods. Good DVD selection if you're staying in town and need a rental. The piped in music can be annoying but they often have live music on the deck. And Inlet as a whole is a very endearing town to base camp the Adirondacks, with a nice beach, stores with more than the usual tourist traps, good boating and a few local climbs. The Adirondack Museum (definitely worth a visit to understand and experience the Adirondack history) is half an hour away. read more

Call me snobby, but this place isn't all its cracked up to be. The bar is absolutely wonderful. There are 50 different beers on tap making this probably one of the best places to grab a good brew. The wifi is an awesome touch helping you keep up to date with all of your business. The wings are a close tie with the Red Dog tavern conveniently located up the road. However, while these are all pluses, there were some major negatives about the restaurant when going with a group. The waitresses are extremely rude and will not even check in with you after they have thrown your food at you. They are all extremely young, ill prepared, and when asking any questions about movie rentals or food orders they are completely clueless as to what you are asking them. This alone makes for an annoying and anxiety filled event while you are attempting to have a meal with your family while on vacation. In addition, the sandwiches are so large they can feed about three people, and leave you with leftovers you seldom want. I would definitely not recommend this place for anyone with a group of people seeking to get a good meal and service. If you like mediocre pizza and horrible service for a party of three or more than you have found the right place. read more
