One of our favorite spots to grab beer and wings in the inlet area. They have a good indoor/outdoor space. We often stop at this place after a nice round of golf at old forge golf course. They have various flavors for wings. You must order the same flavor for a dozen. They don't have half and half option. My favorite is their mango habanero sauce. I'm happy to say that we will never be back here again. I am not saying that the food was disappointing but I named the pictures of this meal on my laptop as Meh1 and Meh2. We dropped in here and was happy that it was nicely air conditioned and that they took debit cards (that seems to be an issue with neighboring restaurants). That was were the joy ended. It a long time to get the pizza and chicken sandwich. The pizza looked nothing like what was in the case (pizza by the slice). Not sure why cuz folks were getting slices out of that case but our 2 slices looked and tasted like they were leftover from a few nights ago and reheated. The chicken sandwich was bland...dry...ugh. I was very excited to try this but I was very disappointed. First off it was basically a serve yourself which we didn't know. We wanted a pepperoni pizza but they were out, so we got a bacon pizza. when I tell you it was bad it was awful and I mean awful. it was greasy flimsy and for some reason it was sweet and I like all pizza. And from my beliefs it was frozen pizza because it was on cardboard and tasted horrible. And when we told the lady she was kinda rude didn't care. I love this restaurant so much, but here are some notes/disclaimers for first-timers. Be sure to bring your ID, they are strict about carding. I wish that they opened a little earlier, for lunch, but I think they only open at 4pm. The last few summers their playlist has been Top 40 dance remixes ‍ . Busy on a Wednesday evening, bit of a wait. But the 50 taps helped. Nice that they let you have a taste if you're unsure of your selection. Among the four of us, I had Maine Lunch IPA and my friend had Prison City Mass Riot. The ladies stuck with water. For food, I had the wings with Bad Ass BBQ sauce. They were sweet, fortunately not overly so and sufficiently picantẽ. Others at our table had chicken bacon ranch wrap, roast beef club, and meatball sub. All were tasty and more than enough to bring half home. My wife and I also shared a spinach salad that was excellent! We sat outside on their lovely deck overlooking the inlet. Best beer selection in the Adirondacks, great food, fun atmosphere. We eat here two or three times a week when we are in town.

The good: Beer is cold, there's AC and it's a great place to hit up WiFi The not-so good: Beer choices are off - Multiple stouts mid- summer? Winter ales? Space inside is set up strangely- bar could be larger, bathrooms are singles and the area just doesn't flow. Lots of wasted space that could be used so much better. The bad: The food, is just ok and to add insult to injury there is usually a long wait. Service is non-existent, so grab your own plates, napkins, silverware, to-go containers, etc. It feels like a small amount of effort is put into this operation but yet it somehow continues to get a pass. I've been going to the Screamen Eagle periodically for over a decade for a family tradition. The wings are where it's at: hands down. They come in something like 10 sauces (the mild or medium are my favorite). They are fried and all the fat is rendered into a perfectly crisp yet still tender and juicy wing. I live in Los Angeles and yet still look forward a whole year to their wings. Other food that is really good are the chicken parmesan sub and the fried ravioli. I wish they still did the eggplant parm sub because that was really good as well. Also, they have wifi which is AMAZING when you're in Inlet. I do wish they would maybe reschedule the tap takeover from Southern Tier or maybe just half taps. The beer variety here used to be amazing and I miss the pre-tap-takeover days. Especially since the tap takeover is in the middle of summer, yet at least half the beers are for the fall/winter season. read more

The wings are surprisingly yummy and there are actually a lot of flavors to choose from. Unfortunately, the smallest number of wings you can order are 12 and if you have major FOMO like me, you'll be unhappy to know that they can't do half/half flavors. They will recommend that you order 6 of a flavor and 6 naked with the second sauce on the side. The honey maple sriracha flavor was yummy and maybe a 3/10 in terms of heat as long as you don't inhale the smell down your throat (not sure if that makes sense but it'll burn a lottt). The food was good and the bar had a large variety of beer and wine! They have a nice outdoor deck as well as plenty of indoor tables. You have to order inside and they bring the food out for you. They proudly market themselves first and foremost as a draft house with "over 50 beers on tap", but if your thirsty for a cold one you're in for a huge letdown. This place somehow someway managed to lose its liquor license in one of the busiest and hottest weeks of the summer. If you're hungry you're in for an even bigger letdown. The beer selection here is huge (lots of craft beers) and my friend greatly appreciated it! The pizza however was only okay. The crust was quite tough (maybe premade dough?) and I am not sure what cheese they use but it had a strange odor. It tasted good enough when it is 9pm in the heart of the ADK and you have nothing else to eat! The garlic bread had the same cheese in it - next time, I would get it without cheese. They also have a salad bar but it was picked over by the time we got there (I imagine it is better stocked during their peak meal times). The free wireless here is enough for me to round them up from 2.5 to 3 stars. I have no cell reception in that area. Like the proverbial tree in the woods, if you take beautiful pictures of the ADK but you can't upload it for people to 'Like' it on Facebook, do the pictures exist?! (yes, yes they do.). Given the touristy area, I think Screamen Eagle's no frills but yet rustic interior full of tchotchkes works for them. We ordered a BBQ chicken pizza , no onions this weekend after a very long day of driving. Both starving We got the pizza back to the cottage and soon realized that we wasted 30 dollars on the worst pizza we have ever had. There was hardly any BBQ sauce on it and the chicken was what tasted like canned chicken . We always stop here during our visits to Inlet. The setup, decor and overall vibe brings me back to my 80s childhood - I love the included video rental store and hope it never goes away! Two stars is generous, but I have eaten at worse places. Let's see: The service: there was none. Seat yourself. Order at the bar. Get your own plates and napkins. Go fill your own drinks. The second time we stopped here the woman seemed downright annoyed to take our order. Thanks, we're all done, we won't bother you again. Ever. The food: bad. just ... bad. My daughter doesn't complain, she is generally happy to eat anywhere. But she didn't like her food here. The wings were greasy and didn't taste good. Fries were fine, so I guess there is that. Oh yeah, 45 minutes to make a pizza, I hope you aren't hungry now... The beer: Lots of choices! I chose one, but it was out. So I ordered another, it was also out. Apparently updating the computerized menu is too much work. Of course when we ordered wine they said "We haven't carried that in months" which is apparently too soon to update your menu. Overall: There are only two places in Inlet open for dinner. This and Woods Inn. My advice: eat at the Inn or drive to Eagle Bay. read more

I've come here time and time again. The back bar is the place to be. Great selection of beers. Their peanut butter wings are my favorite food to eat. This bar and restaurant is a wholesome family environment. There is a back patio that features bands during the summer time. Right on the channel so boats are able to dock and come in to eat. The first day we arrived to town it was rainy and there wasn't much to do. We decided to head up to the Screamen Eagle for some lunch. Their beers on tap are VERY impressive! Especially being from Buffalo, where we have many bars and restaurants with great craft beers on tap. There were SOOO many options, including local Utica and other Adirondack brewery's beer. The prices were also great at $4, for a craft IPA at 8%. So if you are looking for a good beer selection, by all means COME HERE! On the other hand, if you are looking for good pizza...STAY AWAY! Apparently they advertise themselves as being known for their pizza. Their menu allows you to pick one of their already created pizzas, or you can create your own with many options of different toppings. We decided to create our own and ordered cheese, pepperoni, sweet peppers, and banana peppers. When the pizza arrived it smelled, looked, and tasted like a grocery store frozen pizza. You could tell it was a frozen pizza because it was even served on the cardboard piece that most frozen pizzas come on. Also a dead give away was that all of the toppings were not "adhered" to the cheese. It was evident that our toppings we chose were just placed on top, and not cooked with all fresh ingredients as a whole. We had about two bites at the restaurant, brought back to our cottage for later, and still didn't touch it. We also ordered the "Screamer sub", which consisted of roast beef, hot pepper cheese, onion, hot peppers, and mozzarella. This was absolutely delicious! Toasted perfectly and all of the ingredients melted together for the perfect cheesy sub! Another complaint is that their website doesn't state the hours they are open UNTIL, only the times they open at daily. Being from out of town and here for the holiday weekend, we were extremely disappointed when we returned the next night and were told that they don't serve food past 9:30pm. When I asked the waitress where we could find food past 9:30pm, she said "Honestly, no where". So, if you are from out of town, BEWARE! read more
