True gem of a family restaurant. Went here with some friends for breakfast just because it was in walking distance of our Airbnb. Not a fancy place but the food really shines. Try the Shakshuka for an Israeli style spicy breakfast. It is bursting with flavor and complemented perfectly with some fresh pita bread. We also tried the eggs benedict dishes with salmon and with crab and both were excellent. Finally, we had the Haim's Omelet made with Havarti cheese, mushrooms, onions and spinach. It is wrapped in dough and baked rather than being folded in eggs which gives it a very light texture. They serve it topped with a mushroom and onion gravy. This is a much more "delicate" dish than it sounds and quite unique. Definitely give this place a try. After trying their food, I'm sure they have a loyal local following. read more

The service was great, the girls that work here are super friendly and they're family owned! The options on the menu range from a breakfast at home to specialty omelets and French toast. They also serve morning drinks like Bloody Mary's and Mimosas. The atmosphere is pretty relaxed with options to sit outside. I'll plan on coming here every time I visit, thank you guys! read more

Place was a bit run down / dirty . Food was good though . I had eggs Benny and it was very good despite the Ham slices being very small . Half the size of age English muffin. Waitress was fast and nice read more

Found this gem across the street for my hotel thankfully. It had outdoor seating but still look closed. I was very deterred to enter as it looked closed but I knew they had to be open the front windows don't allow you to see what's going on inside so that's something I recommend them to fix as it could lose them customers. The service was very friendly the waiter and cook or owner all greeted us. The food portions are smaller then normal but the quality and taste makes up for it. The food is amazing I had the western breakfast burrito and it was so tasty. I'll be back it's definitely a place to try if your staying on the beach prices were fair as well. read more

Cozy boutique restaurant near the waterfront. We hit this just before the lockdown orders as a change from the post-church haunts we frequent. Service was friendly. Price, consistent with the area. Food quality was good based on the selections we had. Drinks.... well yes, have to admit to having imbibed a little and they were a fine brunch compliment. Definitely hope they return to full service when appropriate... we'll be giving them a second go. read more

Walked in, no wait, quick service, delicious food. French toast was amazing, we really enjoyed the andouille sausage in the biscuits & gravy and in the omelette. Service was friendly and a perfect location to our hotel, just what we needed to get our day started. read more

A reasonably priced breakfast place in VA beach. Nice to have this option for all day eating. Place was packed in the morning. Did a carryout order of eggs and grits. Looking around food looked very appealing. They also have a bar and sandwiches, salads and Mediterranean picks. Worth a visit. read more

Very good food. Good variety of food items to choose from. The Owner came out and personally thanked us for our patronage. The service is excellent! read more

This was a spur of the moment, we wanted brunch spot. Upon walking in you're greeted with the sign that asks you to wait to be seated. Once we were seated we waited a while before our drink order was taken. A little after that another couple sat down next to us and began to order their food and drinks. Lets just say that they received everything before us. We ordered a breakfast burrito with their homestyle potatoes and the tuna panini melt. When the food arrived it was not good. I asked the waitress to take it back. A few minutes later the lady next to us stops eating her food and points out a blonde hair in hers (her hair was black). At this point we were done, we asked for our checks and the couple next to us asked for theirs. I'd strongly recommend on waiting 20-45min for any other place. Which is what we should have done. read more

I wish I could give zero stars. I think the high ratings may be from friends or family. First, the place was filthy. Sticky floors and tables and the bathroom was horrendous. Second, the service was the slowest I've ever experienced. There weren't many customers there and it took an hour. They also practically cheated me because I tried to leave before the food came, but they had already charged my credit card and wouldn't refund money. I'll never set foot in here again. read more

Took 25 minutes to get a soda when there was 3 patrons. Would not recommend. They don't have a kids menu and refuse to make any substitutions even for allergies. Not a good small business to support. read more

Food and service were good. Music was R & B current hits, made a nice vibe but kinda loud. Waitstaff was very friendly and personable. The view is of the street, due to being blocked by SpringHill Suites. Location isn't bad, parking deck within walking distance. read more

Excellent food! The host was very nice, told us about how they prepare everything fresh - and you can tell! I had the falafel platter and it was delicious - crispy and flavorful. I also loved the hummus that came with it. My husband enjoyed his smoked turkey panini. Lots of variety on the menu. Very nice atmosphere near the beach. We'll be back! Our dog was welcome too. Thank you! read more

We were staying at a hotel within walking distance and wanted some breakfast and mimosas. It's small but cute, and has comfortable low key vibes. We sat at the bar and were greeted by the bartender, I wish I could remember her name because she was awesome. I got an omelette with the home style potatoes. The potatoes were AMAZING. My mimosa was also good my boyfriend got a dish that I can't remember the name of unfortunately, it was a Mediterranean dish. We asked if they had tobasco and she told us no but they have this house made sauce that she would let us try. If you go there get it, it's awesome! All in all I would come here again next time I'm in town, everyone was nice and the food was what I was looking for. read more

Several waitresses had the mandated mask under their chin and not over mouth/nose while serving food. Furthermore, one of the employees got verbally aggressive when I advised her that she needed to wear the mask over her face when handling food. I get that these are trying times but the standards are established for a reason.... would not go there or recommend for 2 reasons: 1 - I don't like rude people (especially restaurant staff) 2 - I don't want COVIID. This is the best breakfast place at the beach. Really great menu, with some unique Israeli specialties along with all the American breakfast standards you would expect. Great little "hole in the wall" family run eatery. French toast made with challah bread! The crab benedict is second to none, truly! But one of my favs is the My husband and I eat here every weekend in the Summer. It's a small place so it tends to get a bit busy, but even when busy the service is great and the employees treat you more like friends and family than "just customers". When the severs do get a bit behind, which in reality tends to happen... the owner, Haim, who is also the chef, will come out and help serve food and drinks! Being literally just across the street from the oceanfront, it's a great retreat after soaking up the sun to come relax and eat a great brunch or dinner! Very laid back so you don't need to go to your hotel to change clothes. :) Your dog is welcome too! But puppy needs to stay outside on the open air patio. The staff will bring your best friend a treat and a water bowl. :) read more

The food was good, but if you want to get out in a fair amount of time, I wouldn't pick them the food took a very long time and we went there more than once. The prices are very reasonable though and the staff is nice. The restaurant could be a little cleaner read more

Was starving for a bite to eat in the morning and checked this place out for take out since seating was limited due to phase two. The service was not great, took a few moments to get greeted at least 5 and the food took about 30 minutes to come out. I got the western omelette and it was bland and not filling. I asked for no dairy and they put butter on my toast. There are probably better places to grab a bite in va beach so I will have to pass on this place for the future. read more

The outside looked like a mess with garbage scattered all over the patio. I almost thought the place was abandoned. Inside looks like a dingy bar and has a faint smell that is not good. Service was excellent even w just one waitress. I was disappointed with the biscuits and gravy. The biscuits are thin dry discs and the gravy is a bit runny... more like a sauce v gravy. Weird squares of sausage. It was ok but not worth raving about and far from the best as some exclaimed. read more

The restaurant is a locals favorite so of course there's a wait for sitdown dining. I didn't mind, a good dining experience takes time. Got my place in line with the staff and took my girl to a dress shop two doors down. When we got back the waitress seated us right away and we were served by a waitress named Sarah-- the food was excellent and the staff were real. An oddity occurred were an impatient man came in throwing his weight around to get seated faster. When the waitress said no he pulled the race card (which was ironic because we were nearly all persons of color including several other black guests, even the waitress he was yelling at was jewish) when he left the waitress apologized to the guests for the drama. I noticed that, without talking to each other, every remaining guests of all colors (not only black but a couple legit Africans, mixed, latino, middle eastern and about four white people) each left good tips as if to say "we know you're under-staffed but you're awesome and so is your food. Thank you." That's what earned loyalty looks like. read more

Decided to stop here instead of repeating a place 2 blocks away. My mistake. Biscuits and gravy was a new experience in cheap. Never have I ever ordered biscuits (plural) and received 1.5 biscuits. The gravy tasted just as bland as the eyes saw it. Biscuits and gravy that has such a runny, light color is not how it should look. The sausage was clearly, low quality flavorless. Also ordered 2 scrambled eggs with it, got 1 and it was runny and a tiny egg. The coffee was another example of cost savings. It was so weak, so light in color I could tell before a sip it was a disappointment. It was as if the brew called for 6 scoops of ground coffee and 4.5 scoops were used. Service - disappointing. When I asked for 2 eggs got 1, when my partner asks for bacon and gets none and also gets asked if she wants cheese on the omelette she ordered with feta cheese I have to wonder where the focus, attention is because it clearly wasn't on actively listening to the customer. If busy I would definitely suggest moving on because this is not worth any wait and if possible walk 2 blocks and get a much better breakfast. read more

We were pleasantly surprised! We asked people what they had ordered as they left, and all of them stated what they ordered was fabulous. We decided to give it a try. The Mediterranean burger wrap was fantastic per my husband, the salmon Benedict was yummy per my sister and I really enjoyed the the gyro platter! The owner came out and visited for a few moments. I've ordered food from there twice and on both occasions it's been bad. There won't be a third time. I was in desperate need of breakfast. After searching for the nearest breakfast spot, I chose Scrambled. Once we got to our destination, there was no hostess to greet us. We stood waiting around until one of the waitresses chose straws to seat us. I order the eggs Benedict with crab, side of potatoes, and a hot coffee. Coffee, hot - check Benedict, oozing with yolk and beautiful hollondaise - check Potatoes, -crisp and Delicious - check Now for the crab - this was tasty but wow heavy handed on the old Bay seasoning. In general the meal was good. It was tough to eat all that old Bay, less is better sometimes. The staff was friendly and helpful. The waitress was nice and very helpful. read more

Really cool music at one of the outside tables and the customer seemed to have been enjoying his food. Well, turned out it was the owner/cook. Me and my boyfriend came here two years ago for our first official trip as a young couple. Now coming back here for the weekend: we have literally came for breakfast AND dinner the whole time we've been here. This is a family owned and ran business (the daughters are waitresses and the father is the chef), and I have honestly no complaints! Of course it gets busy, but that's what happens at restaurants but the girls always make sure the customers are happy and comfortable! Such delicious food and the bar drinks are pretty good too!
