Placed 2 gyro orders and egg and bacon, potato meals. The waitress was very nice but Omg..we waited forna good hour for our food to come out! Can't undsrstand why it took that long because it was only like 6 people there. The gyro was very good but the order for the food took way too long! I gave it 3 stars because good was pretty good. Don't know if I would go back though. read more

This is my favorite breakfast restaurant when I come into town. The food is amazing and the servers are always so pleasant and nice. Will always come here for breakfast! read more

So glad I came here! There is something for everybody. There were good vegetarian options and nice sized portions. My mom had the shrimp appetizer and Cobb salad with chicken for her meal. She even took some home. I had the falafel platter and matzah ball soup which was more than enough for me. Everything was flavorful and well prepared! The owner was super friendly as well as our waitress. Hope we can stop back before our vacation is over. read more

I walked into a half full restaurant. The bartender looks up to say, "We are closed for the next hour and a half...okay." I pointed out the Open sign was on the door. She said she just decided she was closed because they were understaffed. I went to the bathroom. Two employees were standing in the back talking and laughing. I've been in the restaurant business long enough to know when your establishment is understaffed, there isn't time to stand around to talk. Unfortunately, we paid to park before learning they were closed. read more

My husband and I visit Virginia Beach often and we always make time to visit here. I was talking with the waitress about some diet restrictions i had at the time and she was so kind and brought the chef out to talk to me. He recommended several options and told me a little bit about the culture of this cuisine. It literally was the best Mediterranean food I have ever had in my life. I love this restaurant. It is most likely my favorite one. The food is amazingly flavorful and so reasonably priced. The falafel was incredible with the hummus. He made me a side salad with chopped tomatoes. I loved it. I don't even like tomatoes! I don't remember the name of the other dish he brought, but it had chick peas and cabbage. Oh. My. Word. Seriously delicious! read more

Drove 30 minutes to get here for Shakshuka. They turn me away as soon as I walk in the door. Closed for an hour, at 1pm on a Sunday... Because they don't have any clean plates!!!! What kind of an amateur place is this? If they can't keep enough plates to stay open I doubt I want to eat their food, and I doubt they will stay open very long. read more

When you crave some Home cooking this is a nice spot! We had a lively breakfast here ..great pancakes, eggs Benedict and some special pastry with mushroom gravy that was delicious. Home fries were sliced potatoes perfectly cooked. Would go back to try other offerings since it is obvious chef owner cares ! read more

The breakfast is delicious and priced about right. I'd definitely come here again for breakfast.

Their gyro and fries was not like your typical gyro i think it was way more authentic. The flavor was so delicious! If your going at night get their orange crushed it strong but yummy! read more

Honestly, we found this place randomly. We wanted breakfast at 3 after everything else had closed. Great prices, awesome little place and the food was better than we expected. Definitely will be back. read more

waitress was very friendly but not attentive to customer needs. Food was subpar compared to other places around the area. restaurant and bathroom wasn't clean, poor lighting. read more

Good place to eat . Very chill for a early morning breakfast. Meals are served on time and atmosphere is bubbly . Thanks

Scrambled offers a warm family-owned atmosphere with no frills and delicious home cooking. Reasonable pricing in an area full of markup.

Great spot; family friendly but has a full bar. The food is great and the mimosas are well priced. It is a mom & pop type of diner and the staff is very attentive and friendly. 2 trips to the area this summer and I've stopped in 3 times. read more

Food was great and 3 dollar mimosas cannot be beat. HOWEVER, service was off. Bartender needed to be more aware of who was around her before she argued with the wait staff. I overheard they were missing a host and I understand that but it took the person 10 min to just get a coffee it took 10 min just to greet me and people were walking out due to long wait just to get a drink. If you are patient the food was great though read more

Great food! Had the kebab platter for dinner. Big portion for the price. Very nice waitress and the cook/owner greated us. Everything is made fresh. Excellent, highly recommend read more

Went this AM for breakfast. Mimosas were what earned this place two stars (my friends said they wouldn't even give that). They were large and well worth the $2. However, it was downhill from there. The service was horrible. We almost walked out twice. We were seated and served a round of mimosas quickly. We also ordered water which never came. Then, we waited and waited. Several other tables came and were seated and had their orders taken, while we were ignored. A man who came in with us ordered, ate, and left before we ever ordered. At one point the chef came out and asked the table next to us if they were waiting to order and they said they were ok. He walked past us back to the kitchen at which point we stopped him and said "we have not ordered and they came in after us". By now we had been there over 30 min. Shortly after that, the man who sat us came up, apologized and said he would refill out now empty mimosas. He never came back to our table or the table next to us which he had been attentively waiting on prior to that. Our waitress came running up short of breath, apologized and took our order. Mimosas were still no where to be found we set another 15 min or longer. We pulled our money out to leave and the waitress saw us and hurriedly began making our drinks. When the table next to us got there food, orders were incorrect and they had no silverware and empty drinks in spite of requesting refills from other servers. The food was not great. The eggs were over cooked the oatmeal was a clumped and sticky glue like consistency. It is not even tourists season yet. I do not know how this place will function in the next few weeks if it was this bad today. As someone who has experience in the service industry they appeared to have ample staff for the amount of patrons. It was a sad excuse for customer service. They did take 10% off of the bill (whoop-de-do)....but that was little in a recovery effort. After they forgot us recovery should have focused on improving the experience. read more

Found a deal on Living social and decided to check it out...I mean who doesn't love breakfast?! The decor is great. Staff was friendly but our waiter disappeared for a little while and you could hear kitchen staff yelling (we were seated towards the back). As for the food it was a 50/50 decision at our table. I did not like mine...very little flavor but my husband enjoyed his. read more

This place was recommended as having amazing hummus and pita appetizer. It did not disappoint. Amazing zing and flavor. The lamb Gyro was to die for. Greek flavor through out topped by amazing tzatziki sauce. The homemade potato salad was like my mother-in-laws. Mayo, eggs, dill pickle, rep pepper bits. Yum. read more

Virginia Beach is my hometown although I reside in Orlando, Florida now. Coming home and experiencing such an eclectic and welcoming place was fantastic. The food the atmosphere the owner, all were inviting and very top notch. I can't wait to come back! The benedict I had was delicious and the omelette was delicious also... a must go place on the virginia beach oceanfront indeed. read more

Had an omelette, which was pretty good, except my fresh fruit on the side was watermelon with canned, watery pineapple. They gave me one piece of toast on the side. Overall, a funny presentation. The store is a little sparse but cute, and the service was good - the servers bantered with each other, which was entertaining. Okay place, but I probably wouldn't go back. read more

Ok, so maybe we went on an off day but this place was not good at all, they were running a Groupon at the time so maybe that had something to with it. Took 15 minutes for a hostess to acknowledge us to be seated. Waited 45 minutes for an omelet and hash browns, my fiancé had 2 eggs, hash browns and bacon ALL served COLD! The waitresses were frantic, irritated and overwhelmed, it's a kind of a small place with maybe 20 tables (not including outdoor seating) and nice bar with good specials which we didn't try. The decor was nice and the place was clean but the food and service were not good...like at all. read more

Came in on a Tuesday night to have a beer and ended up eating some of Haim's personally prepared favorites. The guy is a wonderful host and has some serious moves in the kitchen. Highly recommend any of the Mediterranean Picks. read more

After reviewing Yelp reviews for this restaurant and the previously posted pictures of the eggs Benedict, we decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed. The food was delicious. I got the eggs Benedict with crab meat, and I didn't bother taking a pic because it looked exactly like the other pics posted. It was so delicious. The hash browns were cooked to crispy perfection. I highly recommend this eatery. read more

Wonderful omelet. So special delicate tasty and filling. The wait staff wonderfully friendly. Worth a visit. Don't be put off by the appearance. read more

Scrambled was ok. The $2 mimosas were pretty good and so was the bloody mary. I had the pancakes with eggs and bacon and my boyfriend had the breakfast burrito. Neither were anything special, but the portions were definitely awesome. read more

This was pretty close to the hotel and we were jonesing for a decent breakfast. Scrambled hit the spot with a classic eggs benedict, strong and steamy mugs of coffee, and super crispy and brown hash browns. The menu is enormous and I am dying to try their shrimp and grits, but for now my eggs benedict will simply have to satisfy, which it did - immensely. My friend had The Flop, which was a hit, incidentally. Haha... did you see what I did there? I know, I know, I'm too much. Anyway... The Flop consisted of two fluffy pancakes with cheesy scrambled eggs and my animal-loving friend substituted the meat side with has browns easily enough. You have to look past the rather ordinary, borderline unappealing exterior to get to the good stuff, which is on the plate INSIDE. You know what else is inside? A pretty awesome staff who are friendly and hospitable and kind. read more

This brunch was a huge disappointment. The table was sticky. The service was extremely slow and careless. The waitress brought the wrong drinks because she didn't listen. My daughter ordered a wrap and wanted it without the dressing. After five minutes the waitress came back to say the wraps were already made so we couldn't get it without the sauce. I ordered the special quiche is was solid and tasteless. It appeared it had been made two days prior. The overhead music was a radio station with a lot of commercials. Someone came out of the kitchen to deliver food to an adjacent table with the most offensive BO. On the porch, the wind picked up a beach umbrella that was being used at a dinner table for shade. My 15 year old son grabbed it, avoiding injury to passers by. read more

First of all, my boyfriend and I were waiting behind another family of four for a table. We watched a number of families walk out and tables being left dirty and empty for 5-10 minutes before being cleaned. Even once they were cleaned, they were still left empty. If you have customers waiting outside in the hot sun, why is it not your priority to get the tables cleaned and people seated as soon as possible? There were NO capacity issues like previously stated in the comment before. We watched a family of FIVE leave the six person table that we were denied access to and STILL had to wait another 10 minutes before the mother in front of us went inside and inquired about the table that was left empty. After this family left, another couple left which is what caused the mother to become a bit irritated which is expected. The table outside had numerous seats but only had a couple sitting there so, why did the family of four need more people to sit at this six seat table? Even when we agreed to sit together and make sic people, we were still denied access and not given a reason why. This was very wrong. Come on, where do you see any places that hold tables for a party of six or more, especially during COVID? They were not correctly wearing masks and what looked like the manager didn't even have a mask on at all. We were not being treated fairly and this is definitely due to the color of our skin. They provoked the other customers in the restaurant and gossiped about the family that left to the tables that were still sitting there who were NOT of color. They also caused the only other black couple to leave due to this treatment. Will NEVER be back. read more

Walked into the restaurant and had to ask to be seated. The guy behind the bar says sure give me a few minutes. 5 minutes later a family walks in, grabs some menus and immediately sits down. I was highly irritated. I never experienced the food and will never return. read more

At first looking at the reviews, this place stood out as a small delight. However, while there I've never heard more cussing from an intoxicated owner spatting all sorts of racists remarks about immigrants (which coincidentally he was foreign). I now see why the place was empty and will never go back again. Do not recommend this place to anyone!!! read more

Pros: the food is not bad for a decent price Cons: Everything else. Both times I have been, there has been terrible service. The people working there do not know how to work together and are often confused. Served drinks with dirty glasses as well. Drink was awful but they would not take it off my bill. Save yourself and find a better brunch spot somewhere else. read more

The falafel platter was absolutely delicious and so filling. The service was quick and helpful. Definitely recommend

The food is awesome. You have to try the sweet potatoes pancakes. The salmon and crab Benedict's are delicious. If you're in the Va beach area stop by this place. read more

Haim makes everything from scratch and cares about what he makes. The food is out of this world and the flavor profiles that he creates, is unlike anyone else. Don't let the name fool you, it is not a breakfast place, it's a place for all day long and any day. Haim not only cooks for you he also visits with you and makes you feel like family. I have been here many times and keep coming back because of the family atmosphere that is created within this place. If you are looking for a quaint place to eat and visit with your friends this is the place. Very small and never crowded, which baffles me. Put this place on your to eat list and visit with the staff you will return. read more

Have you ever been to a place where the owner serves you, food is amazing, everything is made from scratch, and the service is super friendly plus attentive? No?? Go here!!! They say they have things for breakfast lunch and dinner - we went for breakfast - I had the flip (amazing French toast I ordered bacon and 2 over easy eggs which were cooked to perfection) and my be had crab Benedict which he loved! Def a MUST TRY while in vb. read more

We enjoyed our brunch here. You wouldn't know necessarily from the name but they actually have a pretty solid selection of Mediterranean foods. My brother had the cous-cous and soup and it tasted like it was straight out of Israel, and we later found out that in fact the owner is from Israel. I had the Mexi omelette and it was also very good. Service was friendly but a little slow. This is definitely a casual place to have a hearty and reasonably priced meal near the beach, but not upscale dining. I liked it and would definitely come back. read more

During a trip down to VA Beach this was our go-to for breakfast/brunch--we loved it and were very impressed to learn they were the new guy in town. Everything was delicious! They have everything from your basic breakfast (eggs, toast, bacon) for only $3.95 to Shakshuka for those seeking something different and delicious. They have a cute bar and offer happy hour 1-3 with $2-3 bloody Mary, Mimosas, Tropical Mimosas (yummm!) and domestic beers. Beyond food and drinks, the staff is super nice (one of the owners, Oshri, is an absolute doll and so welcoming!), and the decor adorable. They also have booths and 1 large table in the front that can accommodate larger parties. I highly recommend! read more

Scrambled - Breakfast burrito with their super delicious potatoes! - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Virginia Beach, Virginia

Extremely slow (and scatter brained) service. It was not busy at all but we still sat around for no less than 5min before we even got menus. Server seemed utterly confused. Food was ok but 1. It took forever and 2. breakfast plates had ONE small slice of toast cut in half. Server said she'd bring condiments but never did. They were out of orange juice and we had to ask for the check twice. We watched another table wait 20min for drinks! I would NOT recommend at all. If this is how it is "off season" with a small number of patrons I'd hate to see how they fare in July and August. read more

Cannot even begin to stress how much my family loves this place! We come to VA Beach a few times every year and my son insists on coming here numerous times over our stay. Now, for my son to love a restaurant that much REALLY says something because he is an extremely picky eater. Keep it up Scrambled! We'll be back later this year! read more
