First of all, go Giants! Loved seeing Spring Training for the first time and thank you to my dad for taking me. It was so fun and such a memorable experience. 100% recommend taking your kids to get autos, run around for pop flies and just enjoy the vibes. I wish I came here as a kid. If your thinking its going to be hot, just plan ahead with the weather and also book evening games. Scottsdale Stadium feels historic and just feels right! It felt like a true mini Giants stadium with merch stands, Giants decor, this is due to this being one of the very few stadiums that's not shared. Plenty of concessions with a variety of types of food too. The slope of grass in the back has a bunch of families set up with blankets to enjoy the game too. Overall easy to navigate!! Food was not too bad here too! They have some long hot dogs that a lot of people were getting. We got some island noodles that was okay, it was supposed to be soba noodles but it was basically just chicken chow mein. A tip for the stadium is that they have free refill stations so you can bring an empty water bottle to fill up! read more

It was a beautiful day for a ball game. We were excited to watch the San Francisco Giants vs. Texas Rangers. It was our first time attending a Spring Training Session. It still felt like a MLB game just on a more personal level. Our tickets were in Charro Lodge at the Scottsdale Stadium. It was really easy to find where we needed to go and get lined up for food/drinks. Kids loved the Mac n cheese, Chicken tenders, fresh fruit and of course Sprite. My husband and I enjoyed Hamburgers, Fries and the drink selection. There was a lot of covered seating with umbrellas but the sun does sneak through making some spots hot to sit at. We had a pretty good view of the outfield and enjoyed watching the game. Everyone seemed really excited to be there and enjoyed mingling. Thank you, it was a great afternoon. read more

We came here for the Giants Spring Training and it was a pleasant experience. It was hot and the seats are hot so pro-tip-- bring a seating mat or a towel to sit on. The overhang seating has water misting so that's a luxury in the Arizona heat. The program and staff were all helpful as well and welcoming with Bay Area fans and Arizona natives rooting for the Giants. This is a nice way to start the season and see the stars play up close. We have been going here for 15+ years for Giants Spring Training (Baseball) Games. We first started out getting seats but as our group attending has grown to averaging a dozen plus, we have found the lawn seating is more to our liking with a big group. Be warned that on a hot day there isn't a lot of shade in the lawn area, so be prepared. The employees whether it be in ticketing, concession areas, or safety/security are pleasant and helpful. Lots of choices with food and drinks. We have no complaints when it comes to this ballpark. It's one of the "older" Cactus League stadiums but still as nice as the other "newer" ones. read more

Scottsdale Stadium is intimate, easy to navigate, and every seat feels close to the action. Concessions moved fast, staff was friendly, and the Old Town vibe before and after the game makes it even better. As a Cubs fan, it was fun to see the boys up close in the Arizona sun. Attended a corporate event in this stadium recently. The large group area was loads of fun with catering and had plenty of seating for us. It is a bit of walk to the nearest concession stand in case it's needed. It feels very close to the field. Definitely close enough for players to have thrown a few balls when wrapping up the inning to some lucky coworkers of mine! Beware- there is no net on this part of the stadium so stray flyballs can come into the area. read more

First time checking out this stadium this past weekend! Though it sadly was not for a Spring training game, but for a local event, Merchantile Market which was hosted at the stadium this year. They do have a public parking lot next door, though we parked behind the stadium near the Police station, as we were able to avoid mass traffic lines and simply walk around the stadium to enter. I am not sure if it is like this for spring training games as well, but this was quite a large event and very accessible and easy for us. I did not get to check out a large portion of the stadium as the entrance was the initial indoor space and full of vendors and the market was on the field, but it was cool to be able to be on the ground floor/field! Differing from most, my interest in attending Spring Training games has as much to do with the venue as well as the teams. In a quest to experience all of the Cactus League stadiums I finally made time to experience the oldest venue on a date that it featured my home teams (Giants vs. A's). I wish I liked this park better. Ticket prices were higher for worse seats than at other stadiums, the line of sight from my seat was compromised, and there's no beer on tap served anywhere in the park. Though parking was free in a nearby parking structure (read signs carefully) in no way could this lot accommodate all ticket holders. Arriving 1-hour before game time we drove around for a solid 15-minutes, only snagging a spot when we saw someone leaving. This parking experience was different and worse than that experienced at any other Cactus League park. I'd not refuse to see more games here but for about $65 per ticket all in for a game that ultimately means nothing, I'd have liked a better ballpark experience. read more

Came here for the Fall Classic league... sort of an all star game made up from top prospects of lots of teams. Parking garage in back has free parking for 3 hours so that's nice. Seats are nice and clean. Bathrooms are clean which can be a rare thing at sports venues. Concessions are prices as high or higher than MLB stadiums so be ready. Last note.. you cannot bring in bags that are not clear so if you have a purse or backpack you need to leave it in the car or buy a clear bag. read more

Least favourite Cactus League stadium of the 4 I saw a game at. Went to the Spring Breakout game which was the 2nd game of the day at the stadium. I was surprised at how quiet the stadium was, seemed many didn't stick around for the 2nd game but it was quite chilly as well. Atmosphere was lacking as a bunch of concessions were closed and employees were cleaning up from the 1st game. This stadium also seems to have the most expensive ticket prices, I think they wanted $50 for the lawn! - more than I pay for my MLB season tickets! Did get a hotdog which was pretty good and giant - I understand everything is supersized at this stadium as it's the Giants. Of course the dog was just as much as at a MLB stadium. My first time ever here and spring training games. Loved the whole experience, easy access from uber drop off, a block away only, no long wait getting in park, everyone was so nice and happy, weather was perfect. Very small ballpark, you can easily move to better seats, . Food was good and of course prices are high for food and drinks. No long lines at bathrooms and very clean. You can bring in your own water bottle. It's close to old Scottsdale for after the game. Every seat is a good seat and big lawn area. GO GIANTS read more

Went to Scottsdale Stadium for a spring training game, Padres at Dodgers. It being well into March, we saw mostly regulars until the 8th inning or so. Resale tickets for seats behind the first base dugout were a little expensive with fees, but what isn't these days? We were close to the action and could actually see faces and pretty much call balls and strikes. Food is basic ballpark food, beer selection is substantial. Short concession lines even on a sellout Sunday afternoon. Yes, hotdogs and beer are expensive, but everything is Giants [heh] sized - enormous half-poundish hotdogs and 25 oz beers, so two can split if you had breakfast and aren't heavy users. Didn't realize until I came back to Yelp to review that Scottsdale is the oldest Cactus League stadium. Maybe, but all of the seating seemed new and clean and the floors and concourse were sparkling. Unlike another reviewer, we had no problem walking around the whole stadium. If you're a lawn guy, the Bermuda turf even in the outfield seating areas is just awesome. Mine doesn't look half as good. And to top it off, the lack of a booming sound system playing nonstop music made it one of our most pleasant baseball days in years. read more

Doing tourist things spring training baseball Ballgames was on the list of to-do's .....Great place to catch a game! Not a bad seat in the house in my perspective. The number of food stations had a variety of menus and pricing wasn't overly expensive considering the busy season of spring training. The beverage stands both adult and kid friendly had reasonable prices and I was pleasantly surprised. I could only Imagine how rockin this place is during the spring training season on the regular!! The parking is super close to the main gate - I am in firm belief that the overall planning and logistics of this stadium are professionally done and handled well! We parked in a business across the street for $20 Look into the charro pavilion area for all you can eat and drink... That place was rockin! This stadium is a must visit if in the area and you like baseball. With the family friendly vibe. The walk to the outfield is just was pretty decent. Bartender at bar was super nice and got me a much needed cup of vodka and soda with a smile. 10/10 times I would return... I live approximately 0.4 miles away from Scottsdale Stadium ant Denim Apartments complex, and I am beyond frustrated with the extreme noise and bass emanating from concerts held there. Tonight's event, which started around 7:15 PM, produced a level of low-frequency subwoofer bass that is entirely unacceptable for residential neighborhoods. Even with all windows and doors closed, I could hear every beat of the music and feel the vibrations throughout my home. My walls and furniture were shaking as if the concert was happening inside my living room. This is not ordinary city noise -- this is deep, continuous sub-bass that propagates over long distances, traveling through the ground and building structures, making it impossible to relax, concentrate, or enjoy basic peace and quiet in my own home. The intensity of this sound is far beyond what should be allowed. Using simple acoustic reasoning, if amplified sound at 100 feet from the source were only 68 dB(A), as referenced in the City of Scottsdale noise ordinance, the sound at my location 0.6 miles away should have dropped to a quiet background level. The fact that I am experiencing physical vibrations suggests the sound levels at the stadium were significantly higher than what is reasonable, especially in the sub-bass range (approximately 40-80 Hz), which is known to travel efficiently and create structural resonance. These vibrations are not just an annoyance--they are a physical disturbance that can impact residents' well-being. It is astonishing that the City of Scottsdale allows or even funds events that create this type of disturbance. Just because a business or event organizer pays for a permit does not give them the right to violate noise regulations designed to protect residents. According to Chapter 19, Article II of the Scottsdale City Code (Special Noise Violations Ordinance), amplified sound from businesses or entertainment venues in or near residential districts must be limited so as not to disturb the peace, comfort, or repose of any neighborhood. The ordinance sets clear limits and emphasizes that amplified sound must not cause unreasonable interference for residents nearby. The bass from these stadium concerts clearly exceeds those limits, both audibly and physically. I have attached a video demonstrating the vibrations and noise levels inside my home. This visual and auditory evidence shows that the disturbance is not minor or subjective -- it is measurable and impactful. The City of Scottsdale needs to take this seriously and enforce stricter sound controls for stadium events, including low-frequency mitigation, proper containment, and adherence to permit conditions. Residents deserve peace and quiet, especially in the evening hours. Allowing concerts to blast sub-bass over half a mile away into homes is unacceptable. I have lived in this neighborhood for over 18 months, and while occasional city noise is normal, the scale and intensity of these events are extreme. If the stadium continues to host amplified concerts without proper sound limits, residents will continue to experience disrupted sleep, stress, and the literal shaking of their homes. This is not just a nuisance; it is a public health and quality-of-life issue. The City must recognize that even permitted events are not exempt from the responsibility to respect residential areas. Amplified sound, particularly bass frequencies, is not contained by distance alone -- the vibrations travel through structures and the earth, amplifying their impact on nearby homes. Noise ordinances exist to protect the community from this exact scenario. Scottsdale Stadium should implement stricter sound management and comply with Chapter 19, Article II, ensuring that events do not physically or audibly disturb residents. In conclusion, this is a serious problem that requires immediate attention. Residents in the area should not have to feel their homes vibrating from an event located over half a mile away. The City of Scottsdale should enforce its own noise ordinances and ensure that stadium events are held responsibly, with sound levels carefully monitored and controlled. Until these measures are taken, I cannot in good conscience recommend Scottsdale Stadium to anyone who lives nearby, and I strongly urge the City to prioritize the well-being of its residents over amplified entertainment. read more

Not necessarily one of my favorite stadiums, its proximity to the Old Town area of Scottsdale helps. Go early for free parking and some good food, and then walk over to the stadium. The stadium itself is older and a bit more historic than some of the other Cactus League parks. E careful of time of day, so you don't bake in the sun. Seating is better now than the first game I saw here many years ago when I ended up with obstructed view. I'm sure I'll be back, as I've now seen three games here, but all things being equal, some of the newer ones are better. read more

This review is based on opening day of Spring training with the home team San Francisco Giants. I bought my ticket the day Spring Training tickets went on sale. I paid over $50 each for 303 level bleacher seats. These were not resale tickets. They ended up being really good baseball watching seats as far as seeing the game. We were behind home plate but in the bleachers. The way the stadium is built we were probably equal to a lower level seat at another spring training stadium. Again it was bleacher seats and no cup holders etc. Three large guys were sitting in our row so luckily there were empty spots so we could spread out. Could be uncomfortable with a sellout crowd. The stadium is really choppy. We like walking around the stadium and checking out different views. You cannot walk on the lawn unless you have a lawn seat tickets. The Charros lodge is a VIP section that is all inclusive food and drink and I recall tickets were $150 plus each. Another part of the stadium that is cut off for the person that paid $55 for a ticket. The section that we were able to check out was very small and confining. The food there was also basic popcorn ( very stale) hot dogs, Island Noodles , etc. The team store was also very small and super crowded. I've been to most spring training facilities if not all in the valley. This one is choppy, small, expensive and no frills. The staff was amazing and super friendly though! It's like Scottsdale just gave up and decided to do the bare minimum. I would check out some other facilities in the valley. Chicago Cubs and Diamondbacks are really nice! Probably will skip this location until they build a new one! read more

This is one of the best stadiums in the entire cactus league. The physical building covered in brick makes you feel like you are at the Giant's stadium in San Francisco. So when you are walking to your seats, it has a really cool mini-stadium feel. There is also a lot of great food and drink options all over the stadium to make sure you have something nice to enjoy while watching the game. My favorite part of the stadium is the seat selection, particularly the bar area in the outfield. This provides a great environment to really enjoy the game with a group of people, or even a place to make some friends. You can watch the game with a full-service bar right by your side. You still have the classic stadium seats around the infield, and the standard Arizona outfield lawn seats as well. So depending on what you like, there are options. You can't really put a physical characteristic on this field on why it's so great, because the atmosphere provided by the people/fans is really what makes this stadium amazing. Maybe because it's right in old town and it's just really easy to get to. Either way, it's a great location to enjoy some spring training. read more

Spring training is a really good time to enjoy baseball game. Since I am a Giants fun, I come here to watch their game at least once a year during their spring training. Free parking is available at Civic Center and at a library but be sure to arrive early to get a parking spot. They proudly have a FourPeaks brewery here and why not have a great beer to enjoy a game? They do sell other beers here but in cans....., Spring training games are more laid back and perfect way to also enjoy sunny AZ weather. read more

I am a big fan of baseball and after moving to Scottsdale (from Ohio) in July of 2021, I knew that in Feb/March, my first priority would be getting to as many Spring Training games as I could. Living in Scottsdale, I'd drive past this Stadium often and knew I wanted to go when the Giants play the Cleveland Guardians. And even though the 2022 Spring Training schedule got cut short because of the contract negotiations, we still ended up making it to the game (which ended up being a Friday 1p game). This was my first Spring Training experience and it wasn't quite what I thought it would be. For over $70/ticket, the seats were pretty much bleacher seats and felt like it was a AA or AAA game. I mean I know it wouldn't be as big as an MLB game, but it was just not the vibe I was thinking of. Another thing that impacted my experience was that after I ordered my food (two hot dogs and a drink), they handed my a fountain Coke with no lid or straw. I at least wanted a straw so as my boyfriend and I were walking past the ice cream stand, we saw a ton of straws behind the counter. I asked the worker if I could have one and he just shook his head no (said nothing!). I actually thought he was kidding at first so I laughed and stood there for a minute and he was serious. It was SO RUDE! So that impacted my experience so much that when my boyfriend wanted to get ice cream later, I actually refused (please see all of my other Yelp reviews to see how obsessed I am with ice cream lol). So that tells you how annoyed I was. Hot dogs were on point though and I totally recommend those. Nachos were terrible. Basically just stale Tostitos out of the bag and warmed up cheese (no option for salsa, sour cream, etc). Tried to get a beer in the 7th, but they were all closed up. Even if I wanted one, it looks like it was all Miller Lite, Bud, etc. Given it's in Scottsdale, they should sell local craft beers here (maybe there were some in the outfield....?) Fans weren't totally that into it. We saw a few other Cleveland fans and some SF fans. But it seems like this particular game had a lot of people who just wanted to go to a Spring Training game. Which kind of impacts the experience a little. If you go, make sure to try to get a spot in the shade. Luckily we did. This hovers between 2 and 3 stars for me. I did end up going to Goodyear the next day and had a MUCH better experience. But I'm still surprised I spent $70+ a ticket for this experience. I actually just bought tickets at the exact same price for the first row in the upper deck behind home plate at Dodger Stadium. So I just cannot believe they charge so much for tickets at this Stadium. As a Scottsdale local, what I can tell you is that you're paying for the real estate with this park. So you're much better off going to any other park for cheaper prices. Don't go here unless you're a Giants fan. read more

This is the seventh spring training ballpark I have been to. It's a great place to watch a game just like the rest of them. In a great area where you can have drinks, or food before and after the game. Prices are a bit high, but it's still fun. Can't really complain about the stadium itself. Let's go Giants - clap, clap, clap, clap, clap! Yes, I made the trip for spring training! Now I see some yelpers saying it's pricey? I thought the tickets were cheap! Have you been to a season game, not just in SF but anywhere? For the price of a nosebleed seat in season i got pretty up close during spring training. Parking is kind of a nightmare. You could park downtown, since right by the stadium is most likely full fast. We were lucky to get something just a few blocks away. Seems the local businesses sell their spaces for the games. The stadium was nice, quite a few food options but with a location so close to tons of food options I would say eat before or after you go to the game. I love the intimate feel and how busy the game was, love seeing the support! Fun game overall and would consider coming back another year! read more

I will start off by saying that Scottsdale Stadium is my least favorite Spring Training Stadium. To get it up to the standards of the other two stadiums that we enjoyed this spring would require knocking the entire stadium down and starting over. Then there is the parking problem. Parking near the stadium is essentially non-existent. We arrived 2 hours before the game to get a space in the parking garage next to the stadium. By the time we had walked down the stairs to ground level, there was a steady stream of cars entering the structure. I suspect that the garage was full 90-minutes before game time. A couple of days earlier we tried to shop in Old Town Scottsdale; but, the first open parking space with more than a one hour limit was nearly a half a mile from the stadium. There were lots of golf carts to ride into the stadium at $10-25/ride. Then there is the ticket price. The game we attended was the most expensive of the three games we enjoyed this spring. Concession are typical ballpark food, under good and over priced. Game enjoyment was substandard too. The seats were the smallest and least comfortable of the three stadiums and did not have cup holders. As a result, I saw several cups that had spilled into the the lower seats. I compare the seat comfort with a low cost airline seat. The scoreboard pointed directly at the sun. The reflection made it almost impossible to see anything posted on the scoreboard. The line score was too small to read from the first base seats and if you moved to the grand stand, the scoreboard was obscured by cables. In the future, if we want to see San Francisco Giants Spring Training, we will go to another stadium. read more
