Great job cleaning a well used (by pets and humans) sofa and oversized chair. Fair price and kind folks!

I've used Thomas Rug Cleaning to keep my west elm wool rug in good shape over the past 4 years &…read moreevery time they return it I am in shock at the brightness, softness, and overall quality they restore to this rug. We are always careful with our rugs but over time they become dull and just don't feel as clean as when they're brand new. Ive thought of replacing this rug many times but have opted for a cleaning instead & I am always so thrilled with the result. & They pick up & drop off which makes my life so much easier!

We have young kids and elderly dogs, and after one too many mishaps, we found Thomas Rug Cleaning…read moreand had them pick up our three rugs in spring of 2023. The rugs had taken some hits over the preceding years, but they came back pristine, and we restored two of them to their designated rooms. Then we made what we thought was a wise decision, to leave our dining room rug rolled up on our seldom used third floor, sparing it years of messy contact with food and bodily fluids. This turned out to be a costly error. Apparently moths love a quality rug, and the dining room rug was a good one, taken from my parents when they moved houses in 2017. (It was nice enough that we paid hundreds of dollars to have it cleaned, after all.) When we noticed the moths on our third floor, they had already feasted on it to their hearts' content, demolishing the outermost layer of the rolled up rug. The rug was also the source of our little infestation. I guess a few moths got into the house at some point and discovered this delicious, hospitable environment to lay their legions of eggs. The moths flourished and made their way downstairs, necessitating a visit from the exterminator and a week's worth of constant laundry. Somewhere in there, I called Thomas Rug Cleaning and asked them to take the rug, hoping it could be salvaged after a thorough wash. The appointment was easy to make, and Edwin arrived as promised. He and his teammate (Francisco, I think) carried the rug down and took it outside, where they laid it out on my driveway for evaluation. Edwin was honest with his assessment. He said the moths had done thorough work on the accessible part of the rug and showed me where the fibers brushed off with the slightest nudge. He wasn't sure if it was salvageable, but gave me a price for the cleaning and said someone would follow up about the restoration. He was very nice, and also remembered dropping the clean rug off two years earlier, in the exact spot he was now picking it up. I sent the rug off, a bit doubtful I would ever see it again. At some point I got a call saying the rug had been cleaned, and gave my approval for an attempt at restoration. The woman on the phone seemed optimistic, and I agreed to the high price she quoted for Thomas Rug Cleaning's heroic measures. I wasn't motivated to think about the rug, and six months passed before I realized it had been gone a long time. I don't remember exactly when it was supposed to be ready, but it was definitely under three months. I called and was amused and somewhat annoyed when the woman on the phone told me it was ready and had actually just been finished. I pressed her on it and she stuck to her story, but I'm guessing the rug had been sitting in storage for months. I didn't care too much, though, especially since she had good news: the restoration had been successful. We set up a delivery time and Edwin and Francisco brought it over. Edwin rolled it out for me, and I was astonished by what I saw. Up close, I could see spots where the rug had been damaged and rewoven, but I never would have noticed if I hadn't known. The restoration was a success. Edwin said it was all done by hand, and it must have taken a good deal of painstaking effort. We are actively potty training our three-year-old now, and our dogs have only gotten older and more incontinent. This time, though, we left the rolled up rug in our dining room, where any moth will be killed on sight. Unfortunately, our demands that our son avoid the rug while Porky Pigging have backfired. He now thinks that it's fun to use the rug like a balance beam, and it may be a matter of time before it's sullied once again. At least we can call Thomas Rug Cleaning for all our rug-related problems.
