After researching prices, I found their rates to be average, so it felt unnecessary to frame it as a special favor. I wanted to get my carpets cleaned, and I didn't have a set service to use before this go-around, but now I feel like I will stick with Blue Rooster for the future, they did a great job. Spoke with Chad on Yelp about getting the work done, took some pics to send to him, and correspondence was smooth and easy. I asked about available dates and he gave me a slot the next day 10am to come and get the work done. Also, he quoted me a decent price for the gig 120 for my Studio Apartment. He was coming from a previous job that took a little longer then anticipated, but he called me to let me know he was on his way. I wasn't in a rush so it was no problem. Also, very important you have parking/ know about stairs for your place because he's got a huge machine to work with, and sometimes it's only him on the job. Today he brought a guy that he's training. Both people very nice. We talked about the process of cleaning carpets, looking at the materials/solution he would be using, and then they went to work cleaning up the place while he was coaching his trainee and steaming the carpets. I watched as the carpet went from solid black, to a much lighter shade of tan, which is what the original color is. It was heavily dirty so really needed some scrub. The results look great! Also, I watched as he took out the dirty water from the machine, and it was a solid black stream of sludge, dirt, and filth. Showing that the process was working! Our house was burglarized and the suspects left muddy footprints everywhere. So, on top of the extreme sense of violation, we had a constant reminder of them. We wanted our house back. My wife vetted many carpet cleaners and picked Blue Rooster. Chad, the owner, was the most responsive and transparent about his work and expectations. He was also patient. My wife is 36 weeks pregnant and very paranoid about chemicals. Chad carefully explained to her the green products that he uses. He estimated that it would take about 2 hours to clean our 2-story house and two sofas. He and his associate, Gabriel, did it 1.5 hours. They attacked every nook and cranny. All remnants of the burglars are gone! We have a dog - his mess from over the years is gone as well! Chad and Gabriel's hard work and green product returned our house back to us! We are so thankful. Near the end, my wife and I got a chance to chat with Chad. Turns out that he's a very spiritual guy. I was in the market for a new carpet cleaner and saw that BRCC had great reviews on yelp. They charged me almost double of what my last guy was charging but I thought they'd do a better job so I agreed. Not only did they not do a better job but they made me realize I should stay with my old carpet cleaner. At one point one of the guys told the other to agitate the carpet and his response was to drag his feet on my carpet. They didn't move my recliners after I moved everything else into my kitchen. I didn't notice that they didn't move it until after they left. The chemicals they added have left a sting in my throat and Ive been coughing for the last 2 hours. It just isn't worth it for the premium price they charge. Will be staying with my current carpet cleaner. read more

I choose Blue Rooster based on their Yelp rating and not much more. I was going by blind faith in the recent reviews - sometimes the ratings are right and in some cases not so much. This time, the ratings were right! Chad - the owner - spoke with me on the phone and gave me an estimate on the phone that he stuck to - even after seeing the condition of our carpets. It had been probably 5 years since we had the carpets cleaned - kids, grandkids, and everything that goes with them - that carpet was a mess. He also cleaned a flight of stairs that previous cleaners had tackled without much success. He worked his ass off. It was one of the recent days here in SoCal at about 90 degrees with the doors and windows all open. After about an hour he let me know it was done and to come take a look. Our house is on a hillside where you enter from street level and go down to the lower level which is where the rooms to be cleaned were located. Going down the stairs, I was floored. The carpet on the stairs didn't look quite new, but better than any cleaning since install. The rooms he cleaned were amazing - again not quite like new, but as close as anyone had cleaned them since it was first installed. First pass was great but a few days later a little bit of the stain still showed through. The most thorough carpet cleaning I have ever had ... Based on my prior experiences, I assumed all professional carpet cleaning services used van-mounted equipment with one driver/operator. While quick, I'd always wondered how thorough those cleanings really were, as the equipment had to pull wastewater through a couple of hundred of feet of tubing snaking from the interior of my 3-story townhouse to the truck parked curbside. So it was pleasantly educational when I learned today there is a more comprehensive way of getting carpets cleaned. Instead of a one-operator crew, two guys - owner Chad and assistant John - showed up promptly at 10 AM and lugged a weighty 500 psi Sniper carpet cleaner up the stairs, all the way to the 3rd-floor loft, then proceeded to work their way down, one man applying pre-cleaning spray to and scrubbing the carpeted floors and stairs, followed by the other operating the Sniper. Considering the two-man crew and 90 minutes spent on the job, Chad's price was more than fair, honoring the quote he gave me on Thumbtack. He wasn't the cheapest, but you definitely get value-for-money and the accolades are well-earned. read more
