At first, I was a little annoyed because there really wasn't anything available for $5 or less... but then my friend and I combined our credits and went with the chicken tacos and BBQ bacon ranch fries ($6 and I think $9, so $15 or only $5 out of pocket) and it was SO WORTH IT. The chicken tacos were light and refreshing on a super hot summer day. They were not overly filled so that it was hard to wrap them up, nor were they lacking in any toppings. The fries were spectacular. Again, they weren't globbed up with toppings but each fry had something on it; perfectly done. I hope they're at another event that I attend in the future!

Come to find out, this truck had recently relocated to Highland from Wallkill. So like a good Yelper I added a suggestion for their new address because these are some tacos the people of Highland need to know about. Their menu is about 70% Tortas, which I was tempted to order but I rely heavily on tacos being the best introduction to any Mexican spot. So 2 Asada and 1 Pollo for me and 3 Pollo tacos for my lady. $24 before tip. Pretty reasonable, because they load their tacos up with plenty of meat. We were offered hot sauce, and received one red and one green/ order. Beware, this ain't no Pico De Gallo situation these sauces were HHHOOOOTTTT, but paired well with both the steak and chicken tacos. Plenty of parking in their private lot, lots of signage and a porta-potty if you decide to enjoy your tacos then and there. There was one picnic table and umbrella. We took ours to go as it was a hot day and the bees were a buzz. Service was efficient and kind. I'll be back fasho! Signed, The Happy Hour Huntress

The meat for the tacos is always tender and it packs FLAVOR but not greasy. And the torta has a great ratio of tasty ingredients but the bread isn't too thick which can make the other ingredients get lost. And again the portions are very generous while not losing out on the great flavor of the meal! Service, portion size, authenticity, flavor all 10/10.

5 STARS - The Best Mexican in Poughkeepsie!…read more Whenever I come to Poughkeepsie to visit my parents, we LOVE getting takeout from here. The Mexican food is honestly the BEST in Poughkeepsie -- fresh, flavorful, and truly authentic. I live in Miami Beach, and there's only one good Mexican spot near me, so finding this place was such a treat. The quality and authenticity here are on another level. The inside is really cute, warm, and inviting, and the patio is lovely when the weather is nice. Whether dining in or grabbing takeout, everything is consistently amazing. Service is beyond friendly and amazing! Absolutely one of my favorite spots in the area. Highly, highly recommend!
