I finally had the chance to go and I am so glad I did. I tried the Tajín-flavored donut, which had a nice kick of spice and tasted unique and delicious. The second one I tried was the passion fruit strawberry flavor, which was great as well. They had very few pieces left, so I'm really glad I was able to pick these two. I hope to try some more flavors very soon!

And the fact that you can add your own toppings makes it that much better. The donuts were delicious, very soft, and warm. Location: This location is pretty spacious, and it's pretty casual. You can sit down and eat there, but it's pretty consistently grab-and-go as well. This location does not offer private parking. Service: The service is quick, and I really enjoyed watching them make the donuts and seeing the fresh ones pop out through the glass. I will definitely be coming back!

I grew up in Poughkeepsie so I went to Bagel World a lot as a teenager since the time it opened up…read more When they first opened up, their bagels were super fresh, prices were cheap, and the service was awesome and enthusiastic. I've noticed over the years, that all these things have changed overall: the bagels are not nearly as fresh, the prices have basically doubled, and the staff doesn't look so happy to be there anymore. My go to is the plain bagel (not toasted) with lox and cream cheese. A great bagel should never need to be toasted. Toasting a bagel makes a great bagel worse, but a bad bagel better. It is the ultimate leveler, but we this is in NY so we should be expecting some great bagels. Nowadays, my bagels are hit or miss, but the last few times I've went, the bagels are still pretty good with nice serving sizes. Just not as good as it once was (and could still be in the future).

Sam was apologetic and made me a lightly toasted whole wheat everything with hummus. It was delicious. The bagel was that ideal combination of crisp on the outside and chewy within. Sidenote: I'm actually happy that the vegan cream cheese had run out -- it suggests that it is in demand, which makes this animal rights/welfare advocate hopeful. :)

Everything was totally fine and normal until I asked for a receipt. Employee: Why, is someone buying your food? Me: Yes actually (my mother in law was paying for the food, she was sitting in the car) Employee: Oh, do they buy your clothes too? Me: No? Employee: Well you should work on that. Now I kinda laughed it off and left. I was working in my yard so my shirt had some dirt on it. The entire ride home I was trying to give her the benefit of the doubt that she didn't mean anything rude by it. I was talking to my family going over every possible interpretation of what she could have meant. But after reading several reviews about how rude she is, I have accepted that she was literally insulting my appearance and the way I looked. I honestly can't remember the last time someone was rude just to be rude. Also, please know that I will be contacting the BBB, making an entire post about it on the Wallkill/Walden Facebook groups and Neighborhoods. The fact that there are so many bad reviews about this one person and she is still there tells me that either management simply doesn't care or she is the owner. I will do my part in making sure everyone knows to never go to this place ever again.
