I had nearly given up until I decided to give it one last try and found Mr. John Madden. What a blessing he has been. He has helped me recover from a long battle with a debilitating slipped disc and has truly helped restore my life. But beyond that, he is an incredible person who genuinely cares about the people he helps. It is extraordinary to find someone who is truly there for you and puts every ounce of his energy, dedication, and faith into your recovery. He is a game changer, a rockstar, a miracle worker, and a blessing. I cannot say enough good things about this man. God bless you, and thank you for being such a positive light in my life.

I had to come in one day for the consultation and X-rays, then return a second day to review the X-rays and be presented with a 36-visit treatment bundle. I personally would have preferred to handle this in one visit and have the option to pay per visit. I also would have preferred to receive some form of treatment right away instead of delaying care. As someone coming in with pain, having no intervention at all during the first visits was frustrating. The process felt more like a sales presentation than a medical visit. That said, I do recommend them if this business model works for you. The pricing is great, and based on other reviews, the quality of care seems high, even though I personally was not treated. But if you prefer the more common pay-per-visit model, this may not be the right place for you.

I don't think words alone can describe the service and support I've received from Austin Sports…read moreMedicine, but I'll try :) I was in such severe daily pain back in December, and they were able to check me out right away during the Christmas break. Found out that I required physical therapy to learn how to walk and do my normal routine for work and photography for many months. I've always heard about how painful it can be but working with Kevin Craig almost every week now for 5 months has been a life changer. He really pays attention on my progress as I learn how to walk once more without pain, listening to week on when my pain flares up and when it does not. He adjusts my PT sessions when he knows to focus on new things to get back together. We were focused on walking and now that I can almost walk normal, we adjusted my plan to walk with carrying weight (which is important as a photographer). I really dreaded SXSW this year because of 2 weeks on my feet with my camera gear, but with my on-going PT, I was able to get through the fest and adjust how walking and weight carry with his advice! Oh, and one of the best aspects of the PT sessions is also working with Luke along side Kevin. They say laughter is the best medicine, and Luke combines humor with the specialized exercises that Kevin assigns to make the time go by fast. Both Kevin and Luke make my weekly PT trips to the South Austin location something to look forward to!

I can't understand why these people get good reviews unless they're planted or paid for ones,…read morebecause they don't know what they're doing, and are dangerous. A minor problem before is a major problem now, leaving these people liable for the damage they caused. When doctors say that they don't understand how incompetent people advertise as sports "medicine" practitioners and get away with doing permanent damage to people, that's really scary. So maybe instead of ignoring people whose lives are impacted by their screw ups, take the financial responsibility for the damage done and train people better, so that they don't do damage to anyone else. Avoid at all cost.

This has been my first experience with a chiropractor and so far, I've been very impressed by…read moreeveryone as well as the facility itself. I wanted to go to a chiropractor mainly because I've noticed that the entire right side of my body "hitches" about 2 inches higher than my left. This could be for multiple reasons (a severe knee injury on my left side, age, etc) but regardless, I wanted to see if a chiropractor could help even me out and support my overall health and wellness. My initial visit was very much a general consult with a lot of pictures and X-rays taken. The second visit was a review of these findings along with the development of a treatment plan. I also was pleased that the second visit included actual therapy and an adjustment. Now, here's where sadly the US medical system and insurance get involved and kind of ruin the overall vibe. Depending on your insurance, these visits and therapies may or may not be covered. I have a Cigna high deductible plan and while SOME of my visit was covered (since I'd met my yearly deductible) most of the cost was not so direct to me. The office did provide various payment plan options (and offered discounts if paid in full for the proposed treatment plan). I ended up opting for care credit which will just disperse the cost over a year. Overall, the staff and office are fantastic. The therapies themselves are quick (you can be in and out within 20-25 min). I'm on maybe week 3 out of my program and haven't noticed any significant difference YET but I also know I'm there mainly for prevention and wellness so I can't expect drastic results this soon. I would absolutely recommend this office and their staff - just be cautious if you're worried about insurance coverage/cost.

Hey Y'all, It's been…read morequite the medical journey these last few years. I'm here to finally give credit where credit is due to Dr. Trent McGinty, PT, DPT, Cert. MDT, Cert. TDN (Doctor of Physical Therapy) and his staff. At this location, I received excellent instruction on rehabilitating my left knee. I sustained an inflamed knee strain this past April 23rd, 2022, while playing in a sand volleyball tournament. My engineering firm answered the call to participate in this charity event. After coming down on a Smash, I landed incorrectly and heard 3 pops. That incident set things in motion for recovery. I rested my knee, drank water, and hobbled back to my vehicle. Then, I got an x-ray from my primary care physician. Next, I called Dr. Trent McGinty and left a voicemail. He called me back the next day. I was able to follow up with an appointment the day after. You see, before this injury, I had received treatment from Dr. Trent for my lower spine back in 2018. I kept his card. Thankfully, he remembered me. So we began a treatment program for my left knee. His talented staff of Yesenia, Tammy, and graduate student, Hannah provided me with PT exercises that I routinely still use today. I've incorporated those exercises with the ones I received for my lower back years ago. I can not begin to explain the value of PT. Sure it may be monotonous and boring at times. But as an old teacher once told me. A little bit every day...every day...counts. (The teacher used that example for financial investing.) I take investing in my physical health seriously, as you should too. After all, we are only given 1 life in this world. It's only the video games that grant us an extra life or two. Ha! Ok, now I'm just rambling. If you're in physical pain and your primary care physician recommends or prescribes PT, trust me, you won't be disappointed with Dr. Trent or his stupendous staff. You will be putting in the work. That's a Warning! You're going to sweat, it will be uncomfortable, but over time you'll get Stronger. Your future self will thank you for it. That is all. Godspeed on your road to recovery. Kind regards, Jeremy Reyes
