I am so pleased with the care i received from Dr Blais . He patiently guided me in my decision to have a hip replacement. After months of apprehension the decision to push ahead with surgery was such a relief. Dr Blais suggested and encouraged me to exhaust other non surgical options prior to my decision to have the surgery. Today I saw him 2 1/2 weeks after the replacement and I got the ok to drive and stop using a cane. I am so thrilled and thankful I chose Dr Blais . He is honest and forthright . I would recommend him to anyone needing Orthopaedic surgery.

I have had many chiropractic visits (I am a former athlete with many back injuries), and the expertise and care in this office are hands down the best. Doctor Bob is fantastic - I would argue he is one of the best in the country in what he does. He also has the best tools you can find in a chiropractic office and connections to refer you to additional help if you need it (beyond his care).

I have been coming here now for quite some time to receive my periodic maintenance with my back and…read moreneck. Most of my issues are compounded from working in IT and being on a computer all day. I never knew being in IT would be physically demanding on the body. After my visits my back and neck always feel realigned and I noticed myself sitting a lot more straight than usual. My recent visit was for my back again. However, this time it was on my left side of my back. This pain was far worse than when it was on my right side. He felt my neck and told me it was pretty stressed. I am assuming this was associated to the knot in my left side of my back. After my visit I was able to maneuver more. I still have the knot in my left side. But I have a follow up appointment that I hope will resolve this stress on my left side of my back. I have also come here for my knee injuries from running too hard twice, once in my right knee and then a few months later the left knee. The right knee was the worst, but again Dr Bob took care of me and kindly explained to me that I am getting older and running five miles every other day at my age is not too great. I listened to him about my shoes. I purchased some Brooks running shoes from other runners I know who said they really help. I can honestly say I haven't had any issues running recently. I love to run because it releases so much stress. But Dr Bob was right about my shoes possibly being the problem from where the pain areas were with my knees. The other thing he has helped me with was my right wrist. I though I was getting carpal tunnel on the right side of my wrist. The treatment he provided and recommendations paid off. I switched the type of mouse I was using, and I started using a track ball mouse. That helped me out a lot. I haven't had any issues since then with my wrist. Finding his new building a can be easy if you use Google Maps. It was pretty straight forward. However the parking is confusing and complicated. As your turn right at the fork like Google says, make a quick right and there is some unassigned parking spots. Just be sure you give yourself ample time to find parking and the building if it's your first time being a patient here. With the new building comes it's pros and cons. The con is it is a little smaller in the open bay area than the previous building and waiting area by the entry way is also smaller. The Pros, you still receive the great customer service and friendly staff smiles who like to have fun and joke around with you. So leave your negativity at the door upon entering the room. Embrace the positive zen as you walk in. Now my favorite part of the pros with the new place. Dr Bob has gone fully automated and paperless. No more filling out paper work about your pain areas. Now when you check in at the front counter he has a tablet for you to fill that information on. It's point and click. When you check out now they are also accepting Apple and Google Pay! I love using my Apple Pay app. Again for myself I really enjoy coming to visit with Dr Bob. I always recommend him to my family and friends. He makes miracles happen and the pain seems to usually go away on the first visit most of the time! Keep up the phenomenal work y'all!!!

The problem was then easily diagnosed at the follow-up and he sent me off for physical therapy - which is working like a dream. Making the appointment was quick and easy. I am very pleased with Dr. Breazeale - he is super nice and obviously knowledgable. Highly Recommend!

DO NOT use Austin Sports Medicine for your therapy. Their billing department is the worst I've…read moreever dealt with in my life. I would give them a zero stars if there was a choice. My son went to get services at the Cedar Park location from September 2024 to May 2025. The services from September to December were billed correctly after a few back and forth calls and e-mails but got it resolved. Then January came and they "lost" the information from the secondary insurance. After a few calls and e-mails I thought I had resolved the issue. But continue to get billed and every month I would leave a message and the secretary would reassured me that there were plenty on notes in the record and I wouldn't get billed again. Then they sent me to collections 6 months later. I followed up with the collections agency and ASM main billing department and they removed me from the "collections list" but kept billing me the wrong amount. My calls and e-mails at least once a month are documented but still no solution. Now 6 months later from the first time, they sent me to collections again. So their incompetency is somehow my fault. I will never go there again. I don't trust that they know how to select their PT staff if they can't select the right personal for administrative purposes.

If you read reviews for medical providers, you'll see a common theme: doctors were great, office…read morestaff was horrible. That was certainly the case here. I have nothing but good things to say about Drs. Gallagher, Amis, and Barron. But the office manager left such a bad taste in my mouth I'll likely seek care elsewhere if I need another visit. One benefit of insurance is not just that insurance often pays part of the bill, but it actually lowers the total cost of the bill, because of the "contracted rates" agreement between the insurer and doctor. Our insurance is weak and doesn't cover office visits, meaning we don't technically qualify for contracted rates, but all our other providers give us the contracted rates anyway (probably reasoning that if the doctor were willing to receive $x as payment from an insurer, they'd be willing to receive the same amount from us). However, the office manager at ATX Ortho has seemingly decided on her own that ATX Ortho won't give the contracted rates, and doesn't care that that makes ATX Ortho stand alone in that regard. The initial conversation about my wife's bill went something like this: - - - - - OFFICE MGR: Your insurance doesn't cover office visits, so you don't get the contracted rate. ME: I know our insurance doesn't cover office visits, but all our other providers give the contracted rates for office visits, even though office visits aren't covered there, either. OFFICE MGR: But your insurance doesn't cover office visits! (groan) I went round and round on this, all I could get out of her was "Your insurance doesn't cover office visits!" - - - - - Today I saw Dr. Amis for myself and explained the problem with my wife's bill, including how all our other providers give the contracted rates even though they don't have to, and showed him the EOB with the Total Charged vs. Repriced amounts ($393.50 vs. $292.05). He didn't really want to know all the details (which is normal, he wants to leave administration to office staff so he can practice medicine), but said he'd be happy to receive the $292.05 repriced amount and directed the receptionist to honor that rate. So I paid, and asked her to submit my own office visit through insurance the same way. Then after I got home, the office mgr. called and again railed at me that our insurance doesn't cover office visits and she wouldn't give us the contracted rates. I protested that Dr. Amis had said we could get those rates, and she said that was just for my wife. I said I was sure that Dr. Amis meant it to apply to my bill also. She countered that my wife was "lucky" to have gotten the contracted rate at ATX Ortho (at other offices, we don't need "luck" to get the contracted rate, they just give it to us), and that she talked to Dr. Amis and he said to not give the contracted rate. I think she either didn't actually talk to him, or she did and misled him, more on that later. I asked her: "To be clear, if ATX Ortho doesn't give the contracted rate, it will be alone among all our various doctors' offices for not giving that rate, is this really the way you want to handle it?" She said yes. Since the decision to not honor the contracted rates is so unusual, I asked her where that policy was coming from, from her, or from the practice owners? Because it really seemed like it was coming from her. She said she talked to both Drs. Amis and Gallagher and it was their decision. I asked, when you presented the information to them, did you explain that ALL OUR OTHER PROVIDERS GIVE US THE CONTRACTED RATES? She admitted that she did not. Bingo. So, the doctors, who are not versed in the intricacies of insurance/billing, understandably deferred to their administrative staff, but their staff misled them by not giving them the whole story. I do want to point out that the *other* office staff has always been nice and helpful (e.g., Amber).
