The quality of hair here is amazing! Dr. Beeve did my laser eye surgery more than 11 years ago now. It absolutely changed my life! I could hardly see at all without my contacts or glasses. He warned me that, because of my high prescription, I would have halos at night that would take a while to heal. He was right, and my eyes healed perfectly. Now, I don't see Halos at all. Recently, my husband (who wears a single contact) woke up with a raging eye infection in that eye. Dr. Beeve's office was so gracious and got him in just a few hours later. Stupidly, we had never bought glasses for my husband. Dr. Beeve's office rushed our order and got my husband his glasses only a 4 days later! Scott Beeve MD is wonderful. He told me that I needed two surgeries. The two surgeries are unrelated to each other. The first one was the big surgery, the second recommended is an in-office procedure. I'm totally thrilled with the eye surgery and the result of the first surgery. The back office people are kind and helpful. The optician and the glasses techs answered all my questions cheerfully. The front office staff is horrid. I give them a minus. The first surgery which was the big surgery (early March) was paid by both the insurance and me. My portion was over $4,500. I paid it before the surgery. I also paid over $1,000 at the surgery center before the surgery. The front office staff is awful. They're disrespectful. They don't do what they say they will do. They refused to talk with my insurance company for the second surgery, an in-office procedure. It's not a big deal. I asked the insurance company to call them (end of March ). The insurance called the office with a pre-authorization that said they'd pay and that the surgery could be done that day if the doctor wanted. The front office staff refused to accept the pre-approval. The next month, I asked the insurance company to call again because the information the office said they had wasn't consistent with what the insurance company said. The insurance called the office (April). The front office staff said they didn't call. They refused to schedule the in-office procedure the next month (May) or the following month (June) which was the time that the doctor and I agreed to have it done, if the surgery was approved by insurance, which is was. So sad, that the front office staff is practicing medicine. They implied that I owed money and/or wasn't going to pay. I already paid over $5,000 for the first surgery. I asked for a copy of my account. So far, I've been promised multiple times but it hasn't come by email or mail. As far as I'm aware, I've paid all the co-payments and non-covered charges. It should be a zero balance. Yet, the surgery scheduler said that I have to sign additional paperwork that I'm responsible for this second surgery / in-office procedure, which I would sign but she wouldn't give it to me. I know the insurance will pay for this procedure. I'll bill it myself. I've already signed that I'm responsible for the bills. I have proven that I pay my bills. She and the medical biller are just being awful. It's crazy. As much as I think the Dr Beeve is amazing, I won't be going back because the staff won't schedule my next appointment. read more

I received LASIK eye surgery from Dr. Beeve two weeks ago and couldn't be happier with the results. I have crystal clear vision with no problems/irritations with my eyes. Still, I kept putting it off (after all it's eye surgery!) But, in 2016 I finally decided to just go for it. Dr. Beeve has been my Opthamologist for years, so I trusted him to perform the procedure. Very first review ever. Starting with strengths-Beautiful office, nice and knowledgeable Dr. Improvement needed for office staff, in particular Carla. It is unbelievable that someone who works in the health care industry to have such a poor, aggressive attitude. Seems like it is just a job for her and patient health and well being is not remotely reflected in her demeanor. I'm pretty sure arguing and yelling at patients in a very condescending manner is the antithesis of care. I wish I could say it was an off day, shrug it off but honestly have seen her behave that way with other patients (in person and telephonically). Healthcare industry is not for everyone and it certainly seems like it is time for Carla to explore her skills/interests and find a career where she doesn't have to have human interaction. I had cataract surgery done by Dr. Beeve on both eyes on 02/24/2022 and 03/04/2022 and couldn't be happier. He and his entire staff are so competent and thorough. My questions were answered in detail, Dr. Beeve suggested me to go for the newest type of lenses, which I did. No more need for byfocal glasses which I have worn for the past 32 years, now I use only regular reading. He never makes you feel rushed and his expertise comes from over 20 years of outstanding work. Today I had my final checkup related to this surgery, with Dr. Harootoonian, such a great Dr. as well, my vision was better than it has been in many years. A long time patient of Dr. Beeve, I had cataract surgery in January, both eyes. My surgeries were 2 weeks apart and problem free. I decided to get the trifocal lens instead of the traditional monofocal lens to hopefully say good bye to my many years of wearing glasses. By the time I had this surgery done, my vision was pretty bad, both long distant and reading, with night driving getting to near impossible. Also, reading anything was to the point of taking pictures of what I needed to read ,then expanding the picture until I could see well enough to read it. A month out of having surgery I certainly couldn't be happier. I wake up every day to bright colors that I could not envision before and clarity I didn't get even with glasses. I can't stop talking about it lol, one of the best decisions for me, ever. Although trifocal lens do cost out of pocket, it is sooooo worth it. I do not need any eyeglasses at all! At my last follow up appointment I was 20/20 vision ..... Dr. Beeve was attentive and concerned with resolving my eyesight problems. Dr. Beeve, was quick to orchestrate the care that was to follow with other needed specialist while overseeing my care. Then came the feared cataract surgery that was badly needed. Dr. Beeve performed the surgeries and implanted interocular lenses. At 75 years old my sight has never been better! The whole process went so well. The surgical center personnel were kind, caring,efficient, knowledgeable and reassuring to make me comfortable during the procedure. I would not recommend this place to anyone. The front office is absolutely rude and useless. They are completely incompetent as to billing insurance. Board line insurance fraud. I have been coming here for a few years. With each visit my insurance was billed with no problem. This last visit I received an invoice for the entire bill. I asked why the insurance claim was denied. I was told because it was a routine eye exam. That made sense to me. What doesn't is that in all my previous visits my insurance was billed and paid for the exact same routine eye exam. My question is we're you billing my insurance for incorrect services on this visit or was it fraudulently billed on previous visits. Either way office help is a nightmare. One lady in front is especially rude! This has gone on for weeks. Stay away. . read more

I had a LASIK consultation when I was 19, because I was so eager to see clearly without contacts or glasses. They told me to come back when I was 21. I had kind of forgotten about it until the beginning of this year. I emailed a friend who's an ophthalmologist at Kaiser, and he immediately recommended Dr. Beeve, so naturally I set up an appointment. After my first appointment, I was told I was a perfect candidate (so surpised!) and had the rest of my appointments set up immediately. 2 weeks later, had the surgery, and now I can see! Can't believe that all happened in the month of January! It is seriously an easy procedure and the staff at the office is the friendliest. I have to wait a year for my next appointment, but I'm kind of disappointed that I don't get to keep coming in every week. read more

My family has been going to Dr. Scott Beeve for decades. He is an eye doctor for old fashioned reasons, he is a caring person who wants to heal and help people. His surgical skills are top notch. In 2004, I was legally blind without glasses, I was so near-sighted and had so much astigmatism that without my eyeglasses I couldn't see the huge "E" at the top of the eye chart. I was worse than 20/800 vision. Dr. Beeve performed LASIK surgery on me in 2004. 16 years later, in 2020, I am still an amazing 20/15 in both eyes. I can even read about half of the letters on the 20/10 line! I can see with amazing clarity and acuity. The world is crystal clear in a way that I never experienced with even the best glasses or contacts. How long does LASIK last? I don't know, I'll update in another decade.
