Dr. Lee changed my life. I went to him in February 2026 as a second opinion on a herniated disc (L5/S1) that was pressing on my sciatic nerve and causing sever left leg pain. Prior to that appointment, I was in PT for 2 months which only made the pain worse and then received an epidural shot from a pain physician. The epidural shot wore off after 6 weeks and the pain came back in mid-March 2026 worse and persistent. I made the decision to get a microdiscectomy and got it done on April 21, 2026. Dr. Lee and his office is very professional. He takes his time and answers every question I had about the surgery, recovery, and anything I could think about. He never rushes me out the door and spends the time talking through everything with me. He called for two days after the surgery, and his team was able to answer any questions via phone I had. Dr. Lee has been a resource at several milestone appointments: 2 weeks post op, 6 weeks post op, and 4 months post op. He also gave me a great recommendation for the PT required after my 6 weeks of recovery. Two things I would like to point out is the hospital nurses all had great things to say about him the day of the surgery and kept telling me I was in good hands. The OR nurse even told me she's consulting with him about her pain. The PT office I selected based on Dr. Lee's recommendation has also been great. At my first appointment with them during the physical exam, based on my physical responses to the exam, they told me I had a great surgeon who worked on me, and I was in great shape just 6 weeks after the surgery. I know a full recovery can take up to a year so I am still in recovery and doing PT (more for my sanity) as I had a large herniated disc, but I am no longer in pain and feel like my prior self 95% of the time. I would recommend Dr. Lee in a heartbeat! read more

I was not impressed at all. Dr. Lee conducted his examination of my complaints. I explained that I had already had a nerve test and x-rays completed recently and offered to provide him with the disc from the facility that completed the tests. Dr. Lee was fine with this. I prepared the disc to be mailed off with the USPS, which required a signature once delivered to Dr. Lee's office. I did this because the disc has my Personal Health Information (PHI) and my Personal Identification Information (PII). I also called Dr. Lee's office and spoke his female staff members - twice - to alert them of the disc being sent and the need for someone's signature. I was brushed off and ignored. I few days later, I get a bill for the office visit. Long story short, my disc sat at the USPS in Glendale until it was returned to me by USPS as no one went into the USPS to sign for the disc. A female staffer calls me to ask if I had received their bill, to which I told her I had. She tells me to ignore it because they filed the claim wrong!?!? I would not recommend anyone going here. read more

Brought my mom to see Dr Scott Lee for her back pain. Office staff was amazing from the very beginning when I made the appointment. They were friendly and efficient during the visit too. Dr Lee is kind, knowledgeable, friendly and gentle. He asked my mom bunch of questions and did a few exercises to understand what's going on with her. He also referred her to go get an MRI . I had a microdiscectomy with Dr. Scott Lee in February and highly recommend him. I came in with drop foot after a frustrating experience with another provider, and from my first visit, Dr. Lee made me feel heard, supported, and confident in my care. The surgery went smoothly, and I appreciated that he took the time to see me both before and after the procedure to answer my questions. His office was also excellent, they were very responsive and quick to follow up, which made the entire process much less stressful. I am so grateful to Dr. Scott Lee - I suffered from back pain my whole life, which I believed to be normal. But, after I had my second baby, I was in chronic, constant pain in my tailbone, lower back, pelvis, hips etc - This continued for almost 8 years, the pain getting worse every day/week/month. I was getting passed around different specialists. I felt like no one actually believed me while I was in so much pain. Finally, I met with Dr. Lee and he diagnosed me for the first time in my life with multiple imaging etc - I was actually born with a 6th vertebrae in my spine. In June 2025, I had spine fusion and laminectomy surgery to repair my bertolotti's syndrome type 2b. Even 5-9 days later I was feeling pain relief in my legs, and I continue to improve every week. 7 weeks out my back pain is significantly improved, and I feel my recovery is going really well. Amazing doctor and an even better human being. I recently had minor surgery with Dr. Lee, but met him about 3 years ago and had a couple of appointments with him. Recently I had no option but to go through with laminectomy and dissectomy and I am beyond grateful it was with him. When I waslooking for a doctor to help me with my medical issues, I kept saying, "even if he doesnt have good bed side manner, as long as he's a great surgeon." Well, not only is he a great surgeon, but his bed side manner is amazing. He is empathetic, patient, explains everything thouroughly and is very knowledgeable. He was there for me when i woke up from surgery and everyday after while I was admitted. All the nurses at the hospital had great things to say about Dr. Lee, which says alot. I am three weeks post-op, my symptoms have subsided , he explained plan of care during my post op appointment and again was very knowledgable and helpful in helping my recovery process. Fantastic Dr who has helped my husband with a neck issue that has been going on for months. Dr. Lee's entire staff is efficient and easy to work with. We have never had to wait past our appointment time to see him and he spent lots of time with us and really gave us his attention. He is a surgeon but he does not jump to surgery as his only option. Dr. Scott I. Lee is a highly-skilled and experienced orthopedic spine surgeon whose sterling credentials are made even more impressive by the fact that he is a compassionate individual who wants nothing but the best possible care for his patients, and does all he can to give it to them. I am extremely fortunate--blessed, in fact!--to have ended up with him as my spine surgeon after I'd suffered for over a year due to the effects of a botched cervical spine surgery performed by another surgeon the year before. He was very respectful, was never patronizing or condescending when talking to me and, in fact, took pains to make sure I fully understood what was being discussed. He did not rush me through any of the consultations. Instead, he encouraged me to voice my concerns, and made sure these were all thoroughly addressed to my satisfaction before I left his office. He gave me ample time to digest all pertinent information with regard to my diagnosis and urged me to discuss all treatment options with my family so that we would know what to do next. Dr. Lee performed a total of three very difficult and complicated surgeries on me over two consecutive days to correct my cervical spine problems. He made sure my family was kept updated on my condition, and took the time to visit me twice a day, every day, while I was in the hospital, to make sure everything was turning out as planned. He worked closely with my physical therapists and nurses to ensure that I was being given the proper post-op care. I had the operations only three weeks ago, but already, I see a vast improvement in my condition. Impressive young doctor. I had reached out after back surgery didn't go so well. He was very kind and knowledgeable, wanting to help. His office staff was kind and verified by insurance, which unfortunately he does not take yet. If finances ware not an issue, I'd definitely pay cash to see him, and pay cash for any surgeries. Hopefully he will be hooked up with more insurances soon. If you have concerns after back surgery, he won't step on your surgeon's toes but is willing to review all and offer a second opinion. It's obvious he goes above and beyond. This doctor also maintains a very informative blog and Facebook about spine issues. You can tell from reading his work that helping others get well from debilitating spine issues is his passion, and that he is extremely knowledgeable. His credentials are also impressive.
