Dr. Lee spent a minimal amount of time going over my MRIs with me, although his report states he "reviewed all the images with me at length". It is highly unlikely that he went over 300 plus images with me, "at length," no less. In reality, what occurred was Dr. Lee quickly scrolling back and forth between the same three MRI images, creating a blur of nothingness, all the while explaining why I DIDN'T have nerve compression, despite the fact that other doctors have documented suspected nerve compression AND my MRI shows a protrusion to the spinal cord and other compromises to my spine. Dr. Lee chose to ignore the medical diagnostic proof of the MRI information and instead decided to lean more heavily on his "opinion" that what I was experiencing was likely "arthritis" in my hands from prior injury. I have no prior injury to my hands. Am I missing something? I'm not a doctor...Can a person develop hand arthritis from a prior neck injury? OR WOULD THAT INSTEAD POSSIBLY BE RADICULOPATHY aka nerve compression? Why does it seem so many doctors are SO INVESTED in telling me there is nothing wrong with me and then happily creating records reflecting that opinion? I don't understand the investment in NOT helping me. I don't get it. Is it just me? I haven't had medical issues my ENTIRE life. Now something has happened and I deserve help. Folks. I don't get it. It saddens me that I am writing this review. It saddens me that doctors will screw up a person's medical records with inaccuracies, omissions or off "opinions"/diagnosis. Maybe they are put off that I am involved in a law suit. TOO BAD. I SUFFERED REAL INJURIES that I am still dealing with three years out and POSSIBLY FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE. Lucky me that I live in a litigious society and it wasn't a hit and run and now I get to sue the responsible party. Lucky me!!!! Lucky me that I suffered cervical, thoracic and lumbar spinal trauma, nerve compression, brain injury, trauma and what all else that nobody seems to give a crap about!!!! WOW!!! I FEEL SO LUCKY!!!!! Side note: Dr. Lee's report states for the "Babinski" test I am "downgoing" (normal). Which I imagine is true since I have post injury trauma not multiple sclerosis. But I don't know for sure if I am "downgoing" or not and neither could Dr. Lee as he didn't even have me remove my shoes in order to administer this alleged Babinski test. Why even meet with me at all? Just write whatever you want. Another side note: Dr. Lee's report goes so far as to UNDOCUMENT conditions that are already DOCUMENTED in my MRI reports. His subjective "opinion" apparently trumps an MRI report. My lumbar MRI states at L2- L3 and L4-L5 there is "mild foraminal stenosis" amongst other things. Dr. Lee's report states: "No foraminal stenosis." One last interesting note, Dr. Lee had wanted to take flexion x-rays for my neck and back. (Yet, he only thinks I have arthritis in my hands? Huh? Please let me know when you start making medical sense.) Though these types of x-rays may actually help diagnose my ACTUAL condition by testing the stability of my spine, I still declined. I wasn't about to allow him to bill the insurance in order to help him make payments on the fancy, in-house, x-ray machine that they probably still owe money on. And then following that, regardless the results of the x-rays, I am sure there would still be, according to Dr. Lee, a report that states there is NOTHING WRONG WITH ME ANYWHERE EVER. NEVER WAS. He kept saying, "I don't want to pressure you but if you don't get the x-rays then I can't refer you out to... (WAIT FOR IT)...acupuncture." Oh right, because acupuncture is such an invasive treatment and you don't have enough information already from the MRIs and non-flexion, standard x-rays that I've already had in order to be sure that acupuncture wasn't going to further aggravate my condition (which is some phantom-magic-onset-arthritis in the hands according to him.) I tried to contact the office manager twice before writing this review and she did not call me back. Last note: Beware his recommendations for flexion x-rays. Doctor Lee is simply the best. He did my dad's back surgery in February and he is feeling so much better and is no longer with any pain. He is an amazing surgeon. If we would have known of Doctor Lee from the start, we would have hands gone to him. He is very professional and explains everything the entire step of the way. One of the things I most appreciated about Doctor Lee, was him talking to my dad right before surgery and assuring that he would be fine and he would feel much better. My dad as a patient felt at ease and I also felt so much trust in Doctor. Hands down one of the best spine surgeons out there. As far as his staff (OMG, THEY ARE THE BEST!!) They are all super professional and the sweetest medical staff out there. They are welcoming and they know how to get there stuff done. Starting with Mariana (my BFF (lol)) is simply amazing. She makes that office. Always has a smile and her laugh is contagious. She makes sure everything is ready before surgery and also after. We are super thankful for her. Jeanette is the sweetest MA. She has a smile when you walk in and makes sure that the patient is not in pain. Makes you feel very welcomed. Chris the front office is simply the best. He was super friendly and always very attentive when we got there. The staff is just as amazing as Doctor Lee. Dr. Scott Lee is the best! The first time I met him, I was hesitant to get any surgery done. I was set on living my life with the effects of the accident that I had gotten into. Anyways, after meeting with him, he explained to me that he would recommend surgery to prevent any future damage to my spine and nerves by getting disc replacement surgery. Long story short, I ended up getting the surgery on 6/17/20, woke up with no pain, minus some minor discomfort of the incision that was made, and I am here writing this review 40 days later after my surgery feeling like a million dollars. I am already lifting weights and running again like nothing ever happened to me! I just want to point out the final thing that will always stay in my mind. Dr. Scott Lee personally called me two days after my surgery to ask me how I was doing! That was the most touching, personal care I have ever experienced from a doctor and I will never forget that! Following ongoing problems with sciatica issues, I was referred to Dr. Scott Lee. Right from the beginning, I was impressed with Dr. Lee's professional expertise, as well as his personable, supportive, and caring manner of interacting with patients. Dr. Lee appears to be a skilled and experienced physician who provides comprehensive care. However, the administrative processes and communication at his office fall short of expectations, especially for patients requiring prompt attention. Despite completing X-rays, MRIs, CT scans, blood work, and follow-up visits, the office required an additional consultation before proceeding with surgery, although this option had been discussed in earlier appointments. Moreover, the office failed to communicate to me of the above test results, as that seems to be a standard practice in other hospitals. While I was looking forward to undergo surgery by Dr. Lee due to his positive reviews, I am unable to comply with the office's cumbersome procedures and lengthy appointment wait times. read more
