If this is how new patients are treated before they even walk through the door, I have serious concerns about the overall quality of care at this office. Craig seems to genuinely dislike working with people, which raises the question -- why is he answering phones at a medical practice? Front desk staff are the first point of contact and represent the entire practice. Craig's behavior is damaging to Dr. Brookinghalt's reputation. Dr. Rozansky is quite possibly the funniest and most impressionable doctors I've ever encountered…read more We first met in the ER of Northridge Medical Hospital, and even at that point she was able to both impress me with her professionalism and address all of my concerns; as well as humor and ability to diffuse a stressful situation. Her bedside manner is everything I could hope for in a medical professional. My son had some pretty serious injuries which required multiple casts, so we were (unfortunately) frequent visitors of her office. The waiting room includes some vintage arcade games, which are working (most of the time) and FREE. The technicians in the office are extremely nice, explaining what they're about to do and allowing kids to feel completely comfortable before they start the saw. Dr. Rozansky really understands children and explains to them what she is seeing from the X-rays and examination. She asks both children and parents if they have any questions and she provides answers easy to comprehend without any hint of condescension or impatience. I really felt like my son was being treated by the best doctor available. We're definitely not hoping to become patients again, however we loved our experience with Dr. Rozansky.

With a know it all attitude right off the bat! I proceed to make my long story short and explain that my son needs to be seen and was referred by his pediatrician. I also explain that he was seen by another doctor but wanted to take him here for a "second opinion" sort of speak. The front desk guy immediately says they don't do second opinions that none of the doctors do as if he's getting paid to say that lol! As if the facility is his. Lol as if he's the one giving the second opinion. I thought that was comical. Anyway, he proceeds to put me on hold and then says sorry no you already received treatment with another doctor. I explain and say, "no my son has not received treatment with anyone he has had nothing but an x-ray. " Again he's short and says, none of the doctors here will do a second opinion. Maybe it's a blessing that my son wasn't scheduled here because I can't imagine dealing with that front desk. From what I'm reading here other reviews say the same. I highly recommend this very thorough, knowledgeable, no-nonsense doctor…read more Dr. Lavian ordered a lot of labs and imaging tests and prescribed medication after tailoring it to my preferences (I refuse to take a certain type of medication but he found an alternative that I'm fine with). The day after I got my MRI and CT scans done, I received an unexpected phone call from dr. Lavian's office. They insisted I come to his office the same day to discuss the imaging results. At first I turned them down because I didn't really have a way to get to Encino before the end of the business hours (which was three hours away), and besides I had an appointment with dr. Lavian already scheduled approximately three weeks later. Five minutes later they called back and said the doctor absolutely insists I come in right away to discuss the imaging results from the previous day. I did go. What I learned that day at dr. Lavian's office is that I had a non-neurological but potentially life threatening condition. Dr. Lavian became aware of it because the CT technician captured it in the scan even though it was a bit outside of the area that dr. Lavian had requested the scan for. Dr. Lavian immediately put in an urgent referral to a vascular surgeon and told me to retrieve the authorization the next morning and schedule an appointment without delay. He also reiterated the importance of adhering to the medication he had prescribed, and ordered more labs to be done prior to the follow up appointment. So, yes, this doctor is very busy and has a wait room full of patients every time... (Frankly, I'd be worried if the wait room was empty!) Yes, there is a wait at every appointment. But the doctor does a very good job and clearly cares about his patients. Dr. Lavian was professional and polite every time I interacted with him. Most importantly, he's been doing a great job as my doctor. I'll end by sharing what I heard from my primary care doctor. She said that from the ample feedback she receives about dr. Lavian she concluded that he wants the best for his patients. I couldn't agree more.

Most people that go to Dr. Bruce do so after countless failures with other treatment. The same went for me. I tried acupuncture, physical therapy, meds, Chinese meds, steroid injections, etc. None of it brought relief to my sciatic nerve pain. Then I went to Dr. B and he basically gave me my life back. I showed him my MRI, he knew that the treatment would help me, and it sure as heck did! Dr. B was a constant source of encouragement, knowledge on spinal care, and just overall great conversation. I came to him while I was borderline depressed from the pain that I was constantly in for months. My MRI showed an L5/S1 bulging disc that was constantly putting pressure on my sciatic nerve. There was a point during the treatment where my pain went down to ZERO. I had forgotten what that felt like. I now am gradually more active, lost a ton of weight to ease the pressure on my spine, and just feel like a healthy person again. I had no idea that constant pain, especially back pain could affect your entire life. That is why I say that Dr. B gave me my life back. I still keep in touch with him for advice and he's always willing to provide a maintenance adjustment. Just a couple of things to consider before getting the spinal decompression treatment here: - STICK TO THE PLAN! Go to your treatments consistently, rest your back as much as you can, hydrate, and wear your back brace after treatment - Bring him a copy of your MRI because the treatment is based on what your particular issue is (ie which disc is herniated, etc) - It can take a while to feel better. It's a process, but worth it in the end. I think my treatment was about 2 months, and noticeable relief started about 2-3 weeks in. It varies for some people, but keep doing the treatments and you should be good in 2 months or so - Finally, the work doesn't stop when your treatment ends. The treatment will get you out of pain, get the disc rehydrated, and lower inflammation in the joints and muscles. But when treatment is over, it's upto YOU to follow the instructions that he gives you. Strengthening your core, gradually exercising again, strengthening the muscle imbalances that caused your back pain in the first place, and things like that. He'll fix your back and get you out of pain, but it's your job to keep it that way. He helps in every step. Thanks again Dr. Bruce!
