Dr Zeetser accepted an appointment from me on a Saturday morning with very short notice and was very helpful. He evaluated a foot injury I was concerned was a fracture, but upon his helpful, thorough examination turned out to just be an especially painful and nasty bruise of the 4th metatarsal. I am absolutely astounded at the lack of professionalism and quality care here. Yesterday late afternoon I spoke to the front desk about my situation and again it took them a minute to find my appointment in January. According to the woman I spoke to, the doctor never finished putting in the notes so the things he said I needed are just lost? I'm in a lot of pain and it's getting worse not having critical treatment or even imaging! I called today for an update, I was put on hold AGAIN for 18 minutes! I called back and I get their voicemail. I have never encountered anything like this before. If this doctor valued his own practice, this would have been addressed immediately and they would have had me come in again for a proper exam and treatment plan. Now I have to see my doctor again and tell her about this (as well as file a grievance with my insurance company) and so she can assign me another podiatrist, that I'll have to wait for another authorization for. read more

I found Dr. Zeetser by a referral from my long time internist (who himself had seen Dr. Zeetser) when I fractured my fifth metatarsal. Unfortunately, I fractured the fifth metatarsal on my other foot so I saw Dr. Zeetser every other week for seven months. During that time I found him to have an amazing bedside manner and I, obviously, got to know him quite well--what a wonderful, caring doctor he is....knowledgeable and a man with integrity. He is so brilliant that he has come up with a now patented device, for bunion surgery. I will be returning to him for that at some point also. In addition to my own experience, my sister was visiting a couple of weeks ago, fell down a few stairs in my house and I was sure she had fractured something in her foot. I called Dr. Zeetser and after checking with Dr. Zeetser, the front desk called and said he would meet us at his office at 4:00 the same day. He had the day off, and how impressed I was to find that out by him showing up in jeans! I don't think I know of another doctor that would have done that. I've had other experiences where they just tell you to go to urgent care. After taking x-rays (she did have a fracture) he took the time to talk to us without seemingly thinking about the fact that it was a Friday night at dinner time. We never once felt rushed. I went to Dr. Zeetser for diagnosis and treatment of a pretty bad case case of toenail fungus on several toes on each foot. When I consulted with him he gave me a very thorough explanation of what caused the fungus, methods of treatment, and listened to my questions and concerns. He explained that treatment of the fungus involves a round of antibiotics to kill the fungus, removal of some of the more badly affected toenails , ( Say what!!!!), and rigorous treatment of shoes, etc, to make sure that the fungus does not return. While my initial horror was that I was going to be treated like a POW at a concentration camp, Dr Zeetser explained the procedure very clearly, provided excellent after care instructions, and said that if I was rigorous in following his instructions, the nail fungus would go away. After following his instructions for about 6 months, all of my nails have grown back and my feet look and feel better than they have in ages. I twisted my ankle really badly and when I finally went to the doctor and got an X-ray all they did was prescribe me Naproxen (which did absolutely nothing) and say I'll be better in a couple weeks... I knew something was wrong so I made an appointment to see Dr.Zeetser I got an x-ray and he immediately noticed tissue damage! * I knew I wasn't crazy He gave me a shot in my ankle, a new brace and sent me on my way... He let me know that he does not perform the ankle surgery I need and offered to do a toe surgery that "might" help. Going through 2 surgeries and 2 recoveries made no sense to me. Let's not get into specifics on my feet. It is a little gross and embarrassing. I've been in great pain due to a recurring problem with my right foot. It requires minor surgery to correct. Dr. Zeetser has been amazing in performing his work and alleviating my pain. I mentioned it is recurring, but Dr. Zeetser has been able to give me more time between occurences through different treatments. He continues to work with me and try different ways to alleviate my pain for longer intervals. Where other podiatrists have said there is nothing more they can try, he has not given up. Dr. Zeetser has also treated both my feet for plantar fasciitis. My feet have been pain free from the plantar fasciitis for over a year. His office staff are the best. I juggle a busy schedule and they have always been able to find time to fit me in. They have answered any questions I've had and their billing is perfect. I pay my copay and deductible if applicable. I have not been bothered by my insurance company about incorrect billing which has happened to me on more than a few occasions with other doctors. read more

I had a procedure with Mr. Zeetser a few years ago. As a result of the surgery I now have a deformity. After the procedure and some unsuccessful attempts to fix the issue, Mr. Zeetser said that he would try and repair the problem again at no additional charge. After taking time to heal and getting the nerve to call him back again (since it wasn't done correctly the first time) I scheduled a visit anyway to see how we could move forward. I was told there would be a charge to speak with him about the very condition he admitted he needed to fix. What should have been a routine surgery left me with an obvious deformity. To the other reviewers point I left much worse than when I came in. Whenever you have an opportunity to make something right, especially when a patient gains a deformity under your care, then simply make it right! If the procedure was supposedly at no additional charge, then why charge that same patient to talk to you. This is not a new condition. It is a condition you should already be educated about. So not only has he not compromised or at least returned my request to speak with him but now I have a bigger problem with my foot than when I came in. Reply to Mr. Zeetser's statement below: To defend yourself to this length instead of simply returning my call is my very point. The fact is I was left with a bone deformity (Thank you for admitting that in your post). The same way you just attacked me as a patient (saying I cancelled several times for example) is the very thing you claim I did to offend you (great move)! I asked for consideration in your charge because I was not a new patient and I did not have this deformity before I was under your care. I also asked you to call me so we could move forward and clarify this issue but you did not call me back. You are also exaggerating the time line to make what point ( yeah I needed time to heal for 1 Year and told you at that time I couldn't take that time off again for a while / you understood and left it open) So your statement implying I wanted free consultation is inaccurate, saying it was almost 4 years is untrue as well as your statement saying I could've called you (tried that!!). A simple call could have left this at a more amicable place. You even had that opportunity before you made this post to be the professional and turn this around. I don't usually leave reviews, but after having had the bunionectomy surgery on November 15, 2019, I felt compelled to let everyone know how fantastic he is at his job. I had absolutely no pain after surgery whatsoever. I never took any of the pain pills prescribed. Any discomfort was handled by a couple of Tylenol. The doctor visit was quick and his team took x-rays. He diagnosed the stress fractures as he saw them right away in the x-ray. His recommendation was to get an MRI at a 'preferred partner,' who would give a better deal than most. ** UPDATE: The doctor wrote me personally stating he did suggest a boot, but I don't recall that part of the office visit. Before I left, the office staff was quick to gather a payment for services. All this made sense at the time of the visit. 1st: I would need to spend a few hundred more for an MRI 2nd: I've requested twice to get copies of my x-ray (while in office & via phone + email) ** UPDATE: I requested an X-Ray copy while I was handing the office staff a check. I worked with the young lady who has long black hair. She replied that would not be a problem and they would send it to me through the mail and confirmed my home address. Perhaps she failed to make a note of it in the record!? I really never thought I'd need a foot doctor in my life. Now, I wish all doctors and offices were as amazing as this doctor. This place is clean, professional, runs on time, and all around fantastic. I had a broken large toe/ bone on top of my foot that healed poorly and after a year (in late 2014) I went to a foot doctor that I did not like. I searched online and found all these great reviews for this doctor. He uses zocdoc which makes things very easy to book. He was very detailed in reviewing my xrays and getting me treatment to get rid of the pain I had from poor healing. I saw him twice in 2014 and had been fine since. I said farewell, thinking I would never need a foot doctor again. Forward to last week when I had an injury that needed immediate wound care and a minor office procedure. I called his office and he got me in right away (within hours). I have seen him twice already this week and the visits have not been pleasant (for my foot); however, the doctor and his staff have made the best of a very bad situation. They have shown patience, care, and paid attention to details of my injury. I am going to have to see the doctor several times more and while my foot situation has been fairly horrifying, this doctor's ability to make patients feel at ease is amazing. I've seen other doctors that have zero bedside manner; that is not the case here. Also, the front desk staff really are great. Also, not something you always get with a very busy doctor's office. I have never waited more than 10 minutes to see the nurse/ doctor. Overall, Dr. Zeetser was very nice and pleasant. I flew to Los Angeles from The Bay Area solely for an appointment with Dr. Zeetser to address my concern of having long toes and "corns" that didn't seem to go away. He took his time explaining to me the causes and that my "corns" weren't actually corns, but were scars produced by friction between my toes and my shoes. He provided me with different recommendations and options and I left feeling great. Well, my appointment was two months ago and I have yet to receive a quote. I have called the office three different times, each time I was told that they will try to get my quote to me at the end of the week. The last time I called, I was notified that the individual who handles the quotes had been on vacation and I should have a quote at the end of the week...and that was over two weeks ago. I am not sure why this is taking so long. In a sense, I feel like I am not being treated as a real customer; like they just assume I won't follow through once I see the price so they are taking their time. Dr. Zeetser is probably the best doctor I have EVER encountered, across the board. As I'm sure many will agree, finding a good, honest, sincere doctor/surgeon in this city is near damn impossible. There are so many who will tell you anything to take your money, make you sit around for hours and leave you unable to explain what's wrong with yourself b/c they talk so freaking fast and leave so many of your questions unanswered. I visited Dr. Zeetser after I had four surgeries on my left foot. My previous surgeon left with me four types of bacteria (including MRSA and STAPH) and an open wound that was getting worse and worse. I only wish I had gone to Dr. Z initially, because I probably would've saved about a year of recovery, a ton of money and so much emotional distress. On my first visit, Dr. Zeetser and his partner carefully and thoroughly spent nearly 2 hours with me inspecting my wound and determining what was the next plan of action to help me get back on my feet. Because of Dr. Zeetser I am now able to dance again, run, jump, workout, hike and do all the things I love to do. I would recommend him to ANYONE having foot pain or needing a second opinion. In fact, of whomever you've gone to, PLEASE get a second opinion from Dr. Z because you will be shocked to hear how many doctors wanna cut you open for no reason, leaving you with more problems than you had before. (Seriously!) It's absolutely horrendous. I most likely will be needing bunion surgery (for the 2nd time on my left foot, due to my previous surgeon's haste and lazy job) as well as on my right foot. This is the second time my post gets deleted as "Yelp" points out that i need to be more descriptive. I chose Dr Zeetser because of the great review he originally had from this website, but after my experience with my comment I can see why the 5 star one was the only one up. I trusted Dr Zeetzer because he explained that my issue was an easy fix. Therefore i took time off from work and went into surgery. Not only did my recovery time exceed the estimated, but it turns out that the surgery he preformed gave me another issue i have to address now. I definitely feel like i was misdiagnosed as i still have the same issue i went in for plus some! I have been referred to another doctor which will now have to do 2 additional surgeries to fix all issues. I am limping and in in excruciating pain. I am sure other patients have had a different experience, but this was mine. If i had read a post like this maybe i would not be in the situation i am in today. read more

I found Dr. Zeetser online by an act of intuitive guidance to find a podiatrist who does wound care and who could help mend a surgical wound I had done. He truly saved my life so to speak, or at least helped me to walk normal again in a shorter time frame. I had an excisional biopsy to rule out cancer on the bottom of the foot in early January by another surgeon. I felt I was a bit misguided in the post op care, so the wound got very macerated with the top layer being weak and kept tearing with the stitches and also from my trauma to the area of working too early. After 1 month of the wound not healing (top layer was still open), I was told it would just fill in over time. Because my work involves me being on my feet, I could not be left to the unknown with no guidance or care of how long it would take so I choose to find a person who knows the foot well and specializes in wound care. I had already lost work and was using crutches to walk. I really believe we are guided to find the right people at the right time. When I called Dr. Zeetser's office, I believe the person I spoke with was Claudia. She was super nice and accommodating to my request to see the doc that day. They even had an appt at the hour I wanted and that wasn't even his day to work, but he came in for me and 2 others. It was close to home and the price was affordable for me being a cash paying patient. Upon meeting the doctor, he said he could treat the area, but the healing time could be about 3 weeks. His approach was so different then what I normally have experienced in wound care, but what he did was truly a MIRACLE for me to be healed and back to normal. After 3 weeks of bed rest, keeping the wound covered and dry and having him care for it 1 time a week, my foot is totally sealed and I am finally walking normal again with no discomfort to the area. He office is clean, the staff is super nice and listens to their patients questions and concerns, Dr. Zeetser too explains things well and answers all your questions. I am over worrier and I ask alot of questions, but the doc and staff still were nice and didn't make me feel bad for that. After visiting several doctors his foot was getting worse, swelling up to three times it's size and turning purple and he was in severe pain every day. After years of suffering and sharp pain every time I walk, Dr. Zeetser repaired the deformity in my foot. I was unable to wear shoes without pain because the bone at the top of my foot was deformed and made everything I do a nightmare.
