This office is STILL trying to bill me for things I've paid for already almost 6mo later!! They have the most incompetent billing team. They really don't give up scamming you! And act like they don't understand why the patient is mad. And what's more infuriating is that their billing team takes AGES to send you any bill and they have the nerve to tell you that you are so many days past due when in reality their billing team never sent you anything on time. Not the doc for someone who valves their time. It took 6 months and a dozen follow-up calls from initial call to final orthopedic insert. Plus each of the 3 appointments had her running close to an hour behind. My spouse needed an adjustment to insert and is still waiting additional months. What a fantastic specialist ! Incredible Doctor for my foot pain caused by nail trauma, epic stubbed toes causing improper nail growth. For years my nails have looked ugly and had ridges but thought nothing of it. This cursed year somehow had them growing unnaturally split, where the new nail bed was growing under an old plate. Dr. Buratti explained the whole "what" my problem was, "why" it most likely occurred, "how" to diagnose the issue, and "when" to see her again if the pain comes back or doesn't resolve. She doesn't push for automatically scheduling a follow up, she leaves it to the patient because it takes weeks for nails to grow out new. I really appreciate this bedside manner and giving me full information about my body and what's happening. She's an awesome human and funny too and had no problems with me bringing my husband in the room for the procedure. We were worried it would've required full removal of the entire nail, we got lucky! The office staff and assistant were fantastic in handling and processing our insurance. They practiced all Covid precautions and cleanliness. Was covered in Anthem network and my copay was under $150, the cost of a specialist visit for me. Parking was a bit steep at $4/hour but that's Encino for you. There's public street parking too but I'm going for a possible nail removal, minimal walking is ideal for planning ahead. Would highly recommend Dr. Buratti for your foot problems! read more

I wish I had met Dr. Buratti when I was a younger woman! I could have avoided some of the issues I have today. Dr. Buratti is extremely competent. I learned more about my feet from her in 30 minutes than I had learned in 67 years (however she gave me even more time and never made me feel rushed even though it was past closing)! She is an exceptional communicator and clearly explained my diagnosis and the plan to solve my problems - and it has been 100% effective. She is knowledgeable as well as personable and thoughtful. Her offices are so comfortable and welcoming. Her staff were also organized, efficient and polite. I wish I had known her when I had my bunion surgery a couple of years ago by a different doctor - I just know it would have had a better end result. I went in to have insoles made for my sore feet! I was so impressed with Dr. Buratti's staff! So professional and the office was super clean which I like seeing! She couldn't have been more honest about my feet and what I needed. She informed me of the future of what I will need to get done and told me not to worry now. She was so honest and showed me my feet xrays that day and then they texted me my feet so I always had em on my phone and email. I told her I was switching to Kaiser and she told me the operation I would need and gave me the xrays to take to the surgeon there when I switched insurance. Dr. Buratti is the best podiatrist I've ever been to, I've had a bone spur on the top of my right foot for years that became so painful I couldn't exercise any longer. I play a lot of basketball and the pain became too much to handIe. I was recommended to Dr. Buratti and am I glad I went to see her. From my first visit she took the time to explain what was going on in my foot by helping me understand the mechanics of my foot and went over with me all the options I had to correct the problem. I finally decided to have her operate on my foot to shave down the spur. My recovery took a few months but I am now pain free and back to playing basketball. I went in for concerns about a bunion on one foot and had inserts made for both feet. My visit and inserts cost $565 but is $87 more with insurance because there are different costs depending on whether you use insurance or not. My issue cannot really be corrected or reversed, only slightly managed and monitored. I took off from work to make it to the appointment and the wait was an hour but the doctor did eventually see me after office hours. I don't think I had a drastic enough issue that would benefit from a podiatrist--I wish this was something I could be told from a phone call but I understand that it's more complicated than that. I just thought I could do something to prevent further damage but this is apparently not the way bunions work. read more

Dawn Buratti, DPM is the BEST!! I contemplated bunion surgery for over a decade before she did her unique technique on me called the Fast Forward bunion surgery. I was scared of orthopedic surgery as I had a bad outcome with a spine surgery in 2001. So, I kept researching the differences between the endless number of bunion surgeries that are available. I wanted a surgery that breaks no normal bones nor fuses a healthy joint. Believe it or not almost all foot surgery for bunion correction does one of these two. Not Dr. Buratti. Instead, I had the her Fast Forward surgery which tethers 2 bones together. It is now 9 months since my foot surgery, and I am doing amazingly. I am back to doing any sports I want with no pain. If you choose the Fast Forward surgery, know that that does not mean "Immediate Forward". My success was because I waited months before returning to any walking for exercise (or other sports activities). I would choose Dr. Buratti again in a heartbeat! Dr. Buratti is literally the only doctor you should see for all your podiatry needs! I have never had surgery and I wasn't about to let anyone cut into me until I did copious amounts of research. I consulted with 4 podiatrists and Dr. Buratti was by far the best in the bunch. I needed bunion surgery on my right foot and I heard about an amazing doctor in Encino who spearheaded a new procedure to correct my problem. After researching standard bunion surgery and comparing it to Dr. Buratti's new Fast Forward procedure, there was no question in my mind that Dr. Buratti was the surgeon for me and her procedure was the way to go.
