They told me at fourth call of follow-ups that Dr Zeester will be seeing me, but I had to go to the office, and they don't call back to the patient with results, so Dr Feehman had misinformed me, four weeks still waiting until I had to complain about their poor handling the patients and leaving on waiting game. I would never refer her to other patients. She needs to have better work ethics and plan better with her staff when knowingly she is going to be on maternity leave which is preplanned. I was supposed to see another doctor but was told buy the front desk to see Dr. Fihman, since she is only available. I am so blessed to have Dr. Fihman as my podiatry doctor. I went in first time and saw her for a toe nail that was swollen and dark. She addressed it, cut it, gave me the cream needed, and sent pieces to the lab and same week informed me it was fungus. After a dermatologist told me to go to a podiatry doctor to get it removed, she informed me "no removal is needed and I can fix it." She also clipped all my toe nails for me and made them look so nice. I got so many good compliments from family members that I go to her for all my toe nail trimmings. Although the office staff is friendly and the doctor is professional, I do not recommend Dr. Fihman. She put on a cast that was too tight and it caused me additional pain and suffering (see below). Dr. Fihman treated me for a metatarsal fracture. After two weeks of being in a cast, she decided to put me in a second cast. Unfortunately, it was too tight. I complained when she was wrapping the foot and leg (before the cast dried). She said the cast would loosen. The top and bottom did, but not the point of impact, which was the shin. The pain persisted, so I came in 24 hours later and complained of the pain. Unfortunately, Dr. Fihaman did not remove the cast. Instead, she created a bivalve. At the time, I was concerned that this would not be good enough to relieve the pain. It was not. Over the course of the weekend, I endured additional pain from the cast. After 5 days of pain, I opted to switch doctors. Thank goodness I did. I saw two new specialists, a podiatrist and an orthopedic surgeon at the USC Keck Medical Center. The USC podiatrist immediately removed the cast and put me into a walking boot. He didn't understand why I was in a cast in the first place, and not a boot. He ascertained that the cast was both unnecessary (as my fracture was healing well), and problematic, because it was causing visible irritation to my shin. This irritated me because I, too, asked for a walking boot, not a cast. Dr. Fihman and one of her colleagues had talked me out of that. The USC orthopedic surgeon looked at the walnut-size welt left by Dr. Fihman's cast and said it was soft tissue damage. Had I left the cast on for even one more day, he said major complications could have occurred. It's been a month since her cast was removed. The good news is that my fracture is healing beautifully. The bad news is, I still have a bump on my shin, and I also have what looks like a ganglion cyst forming on the foot, near where the cast was cutting off circulation there, too. Next week, I'll be seeing another podiatrist that specializes in wound care to see if there are options for these two injuries. I am frustrated because these injuries were avoidable. Not only was the second cast unnecessary, but it was too tight and should have been removed when I was complaining of pain. I'm writing this in case anyone else is experiencing pain and isn't being listened to... always get another opinion! read more

I was in severe pain like fiery glass in my foot from my ingrown nail, and I have had zero pain since she sprayed the topical local anesthetic on before injecting the stronger local anesthetic! I felt no discomfort, and no pain, during the procedure, or since, and she was very kind both during my first urgent visit, and during my follow up visit today! You cant even tell that a surgery has been done, if I hadnt seen her perform the surgery myself, Id have a hard time believing it! Incredible! I know I will heal with no scars! Thanks Dr. Fihman! It was a horrible experience; the receptionist was rude; the doctor walked in, and the first thing she did was cut my nail so short without asking permission to do so; she did not diagnose the problem correctly. The problem is still there; it took 10 days for her to return my call after I left her a message at the front desk. She sent me a bill that was overcharged. Dr. Fihman was a big help when I had an issue with my big toenail. I thought it was toenail fungus at first, but she was sharp enough to figure out it was actually bruising from some trauma. She worked on my thick, bruised toenail with precision and care, and it's looking much better now. This doctor only cares about money. I came in with a fractured foot and she kept trying to push me to buy their boot in the office vs getting it for a third of the price online. L I was in a boot for seven weeks. I had to go for an MRI twice because the x ray couldn't pick up on the fracture so when i went back for my MRI to see if my foot had healed, i was extremely eager to get my results so i could take off this awful boot. I got the MRI on Tuesday and it was sent to their office on Wednesday. I called to follow up on my results and she would not return my call. Finally, three days later i called again and was told i could come in to find out my results from her but she was too busy to call me. Again, all about money and the front desk lady was also rude. I have a newborn and three other kids, so coming into the office is no easy task. And apparently calling back a patient isn't either. I finally just had the MRI place send me the results directly so i didn't have to deal with this office anymore. It's now almost a week later, and still haven't heard back... so now here i am writing a review (which i never do) because i am so frustrated that its so much about making a buck and not about the patient and their care. Maybe next time put the patient because money and you will have returning patients and referrals. read more

avoid this practice at all costs! I have been bullied nonstop by this doctors partner, since I posted a review. Run for the hills... All these doctors care about is scamming you out of money. And if you write an unfavorable review, they will harass you nonstop. I saw Dr. Leonora Fihman. The doctor seemed fine. However, the woman who schedules and handles surgery and insurance is unprofessional borderline unresponsive. So for the second time I have canceled the surgery and I'm off to find a new doctor. Obviously, I would need to be on disability for the surgery. Mind you by the time I had gotten to this point I had already been having a difficult time with this individual. So I got on the phone with disability this morning. They told me I needed to file one week out for my surgery. I did as instructed and gave the "receipt number" to the woman at the doctors office that supposed to handle it. I am then told that they don't file for disability until the day of surgery or after... I was very confused by this information because I spoke with disability, and they said it's supposed to be filed one week before. When I relayed that information I was met with a nasty attitude, heavy sigh, and she said "that might be their protocol but that's not ours". What was also interesting to me was I needed to see my general physician to get cleared for surgery... That appointment would've been tomorrow meaning that I would've went in today for my preop and had to pay them $2000 out-of-pocket because it's the only bunion surgery they offer. So I guess their protocol was to take my money before I was cleared for surgery. I don't understand how these doctors do not step in. I had already mentioned to the doctor that no one ever reached out to me to schedule surgery. I was told by the doctor that the individual was on vacation and would get to it when she got back. Needless to say she didn't get to it when she got back and I had to call her. The people who work in the front of their office directly reflect them. Surgery in any form is a bit nerve-racking, but then to have to deal with someone who is so lax in their job, makes the anxiety triple. Ithink it's worth it for you to give the doctor a shot. But if you have to interact with Susan or Sara can't remember her name... if you're looking to be treated with any kind of dignity or respect, definitely go somewhere else. I thought I was very clear in this review that the doctor I saw seemed fine. My issue was the individual who scheduled surgery and deals with insurance. Apparently I wasn't clear in stating that because I just received a phone call from the doctor asking me to remove all of the review. This review was very honest and it was my experience as it was. I received another response today from this doctors partner saying that she was never my doctor and I was never in her office. That is true... She was never my doctor but yes, I was in her office. I do not post often on Yelp, but in this case I would be remiss if I didn't. For many years I struggled with a few discolored and malformed toenails on one of my feet. I was going to a podiatrist in West Hills who frequently provides care for high profile athletes. After going to him for a couple of years, I saw little to no progress on my condition. In fact, it was getting worse and spread to other toes. Going to Dr. Fihman for care was a completely different experience as I felt valued as a patient. She is professional, treats all patients with value and respect, and strives to treat the problem. She was diligent and prescribed a treatment that effectively addressed my issue within three months! My toenails look normal again, I have no pain, and I don't feel embarrassed to wear flip flops! Her genuine kindness and sincerity are qualities all medical professionals should possess. Additionally, her effectiveness and commitment to her patients is outstanding. I am so glad I search and found such a stellar physician! I highly recommend Dr. Fihman! As excellent as her reviews reflect - I did not know Dr. Fihman prior to a small emergency, and despite being in surgery and " done for the day"- Dr. Fihman and her gracious staff made space for me to come in last minute. Her warm touch and care was evident in every part of the exam, as well as her diagnosis, and after x-rays to ensure the situation did not warrant surgery, she performed a minor procedure that resolved the issue. When I needed to make a follow-up emergency call over a holiday weekend - she was responsive, warm, and reassured me that the symptoms were normal. I'm sure finding a great podiatrist is not always at the top of everyone's list in terms of their day-to-day - but when you DO need care to your feet - serious or superficial - you want someone excellent who gets right to the resolution without unnecessary time or expense and only with an eye on your well-being... This place is AWESOME! My husband, my son and I had previously had toenails removed by other doctors and it was awful! But Dr. Fihman is AMAZING and made the procedure not only quick, but as painless as possible. To add, the nails healed SO nicely in a week and that doesn't always happen. Yes, that's how good Dr. Fihman is. The ladies in the office are SOOOOO nice and sweet! They made the entire experience even more pleasant. Dr. Fihman removed a ginormous and hideous wart from the bottom of my foot. Because I waited so long, it was deep, and she needed to dig out much of the hard calloused surface before numbing and cleaning it out at the base with a laser. I panicked seeing the needle and YELPED in true bloody murder fashion when she hit the tender parts. Dr. Fihman was immediately responsive to my cries, stopped, checked in with me, and although I was sure I couldn't go through with it, she assured me I could in a supportive and encouraging manner. In the past, I have had doctors get really angry and threatening towards me when I YELP and cry. I was grateful that Dr. Fihman didn't use any of those tactics and instead demonstrated calm and compassion. I did feel guilty leaving the office and seeing a young patient with his father in the waiting room looking nervous. My foot is GREAT and healing nicely without any pain whatsoever. I thought Dr. Fihman's reviews were too good to be true. I was wrong. Saw her today for an angry and painful ingrown toe nail. I was in and out in under 40 minutes. She was beyond patient, kind and professional. No pain at all and made me feel very comfortable. I did not feel rushed. I did not wait past my appointment time to be seen. The best, sweetest, the most patient and professional doctor there is. I had to deal with ingrown nails on my toes and I haven't done anything about it for over 12 years because I remembered the painful numbing needle when I had it done before. Today was my first time seen this doctor. She was very nice and appeared very confident in herself. It seemed to me like she knows what she was taking about and took the time to explain it to me in a way that it was easy to understand. And I liked that she was not in a hurry like many other doctors I've seen in the past. Working in the medical field (EMT) I've come across a lot of doctors in my time and I don't trust most doctors. Most have an egotistic superiority air about them that I don't like, but Dr. Firman was not like that at all and I felt very comfortable with her and her diagnostic skills. All her staff don't fall too far behind. They were all very friendly and they all got the job done quickly and efficiently but without making me feel rushed. Just a bunch of great and beautiful people. Not just beautiful on the inside but in the inside as well. I'm definitely giving Dr. Fihman and her staff five stars. I agree with previous commenter, Dr Fihman is utmost professional gets straight to any problem you could be having and delivers her assessment and treatment with precision and clarity of explaining what she will be doing and with complete aftercare instructions. I didn't have a major procedure , but would definitely put her on an "A list" for surgery if you were contemplating . Also her bedside manner is an A++. Her office , exam room is so super clean and sterile, the way it should be, but for anyone who has gone else ware and not walked away with that experience, you will not have that experience at her place of practice. Dr. Fihman has consistently shown personal care and flexibility in providing ongoing treatment. I sustained a ruptured tendon a while back and suffer from various other maladies of the left foot.
