They were able to take me in the same day, was seen the same day, and was prescribed medications the same day. When Dr. Hormozi entered the room and saw me, he performed a few flexes of my foot and asked me a few health questions. Right there, he immediately knew what's causing the issue. This usually comes from his knowledge and expertise as well as his years of experience. The clinical staff are also very nice and very knowledgeable on what they're doing. In fact, one was kind enough to help me understand how to use the ankle brace that I got from them.

I asked him to come back in to clarify something because I was so upset and didn't understand what has happening with my ankle. It turns out he had given me poor /incorrect directions on how to take care of my ankle (or I had misunderstood because he talks so fast) and I was very concerned that I had re-injured myself. He roared into the exam room and yelled "What's with the attitude??? I was in here for 15 minutes explaining everything to you!!! (he was in with me barely 5 minutes). "Get out your phone, get out your phone, we're going to record this!!" like he needed evidence because he thought I was going to sue him? I don't know, but he was furious. Every question I asked was met with a raised, angry voice, like I was stupid for asking, and just wasting his time. He wouldn't let me finish asking questions, just cut me off like he was really furious and exasperated. How could I possibly know about a fractured ankle, the timeline of care, what I can expect? Something is wrong with this man. The office provides no After Visit Summary, so if you don't understand what he is saying about how to treat your fracture at home, you're out of luck. No handouts, no paperwork, nothing. And they do not provide a patient portal, so you have no access to your records digitally, which is a really old fashion way to run a medical office. It's 2026. Everyone has records online now. The staff is really nice, but some of them seem intimidated by him. I found another doctor and when I called Hormuzi's office to get my records sent to me, I was told that it would "take a week for the doctor to prepare my records". That's very odd. Doesn't the doctor take notes in my chart at the time of care? Or does he wait several days later and hope that he can remember what we discussed? This is just bizarre behavior. Don't go here.

She is also WAY more personable than a typical "in and out in 15 minutes" doctor in today's modern medical system. I have great doctors at Cedars - and she eclipses them ALL ... literally BY MILES AND MILES AND MILES. No comparison!! NONE. I am a 60+ yo woman with excellent health and insurance - but I suddenly had a "downstairs" issue - and no Cedars or UCLA Gyn's were available for two months!!! In "desperation" - I came to Yelp and found Dr. Perlow. I had really not heard of the concept of "concierge" medicine ... but had to see someone immediately. I signed up for her service and as promised by her office staff - she got me in "the next day". The NEXT DAY. Going to see her is FAR more extensive and personal than the "usual" doctor. She gave me a comprehensive "head to toe" exam. Since she is a specialist in many areas beyond OBGYN - she has the experience and knowledge to be able to diagnose and treat special conditions like mine - AND she actually spent time with me to get to know my situation. She has excellent demeanor with her patients, understands a woman's body and hormones and gives each patient the time and respect that they deserve. She was wonderful about having my partner accompany me during a diagnostic procedure in her office as well. For those of you seeing her due to having babies - never fear that this is the only time you can have a doctor this good ... you can see her the rest of your life AND SHE IS SO worth every penny. My partner actually said not to post a review so we can keep her all to ourselves - as she will soon be a new Dr. Perlow patient too! The annual charge for a concierge doctor is pricey - not going to belittle that fact - but I am prioritizing her annual fee into my budget because I feel she is just THAT good and I want to be able to reach my doctor directly (if needed) at a moments notice. You can divide up the annual charge quarterly or semi-annually to make it easier to handle. I feel blessed to have found her - and thanks to her - got treated easily and early for a rare condition that could have developed into cancer. Cost of that? Priceless. And PS - the negative reviews here??? Read them closely ... they all have to do with HOW BUSY she "was" and how difficult it "was" to get in to see her BEFORE she became a concierge doctor - SINCE SHE WAS (is) SO popular!!!! There "IS" a reason why she was / is so popular that she can now charge an annual fee - because she is the BEST, most caring and personal doctor you will ever have - at any life stage you are in.

She not only took the most amazing care of my wife, but she constantly pulled me a side to check on my mental health and helped keep me stay calm. We had a couple issues with the hospital and nurses, but Dr. Perlow made sure to get everything fixed. We literally owe our baby's life to Dr. Perlow. She will forever be our concierge doctor.
