On Wednesday evening, I was in the area. I needed to deposit some cash. I spotted this Scotiabank. Perfect! I normally hit the drive-thru, which this branch has. For some reason, I was possessed to park my car in the parking area in front of this branch and walk in to use one of the ABMs. Bad move. I looked at the two signs on the branch's door. There was one sign for ABM hours of operation. I looked at the branches hours of operation. Both were identical. What a bummer. I guess that if you don't have a car and need to use the ABM, you can just walk up to the drive-thru one to do your banking. You just need to exercise caution that you are sharing the drive-thru with vehicles. I got back into my car and hit the drive-thru. It appeared that you have Cantonese support at this branch when it's open, as some of its services were written in both English and Cantonese. I pulled up to the ABM. I would have been sad if the ABM was not operational and I couldn't use any of the ABMs in the branch when it's closed. Luckily, the drive-thru one was working. I have a Tangerine debit card, so I can use it at any Scotiabank to do my banking. I had my bills deposited to my chequing account. Done! It was nice dropping by. It's a shame that you can't use the ABMs in the branch after the bank has closed for the day. At least there's the drive-thru ABM that's available. (270)

Two hours later we notice a debit of $720 entitled 'mortgage payment'. We knew this was an error as we had just paid our mortgage a few days ago, as well, this amount was completely different to our usual payment. We call the Scotia hotline and are told there is nothing they can do, we need to go to the branch. Drive all the way over there to be told 'sorry, its human error. The teller accidentally paid someone's mortgage from your account after you left as the account wasn't logged out of'. Um, what? You're a bank and you can't ensure that you log out of patrons accounts before completing the next transaction. A complete waste of our evening rectifying this. I understand, to an extent, human error, but this is just idiocy and scary to think of how many people get fleeced by such 'errors'

I like that you can use the drive-thru ATM without any around-the-building or strange curves that can potentially ruin the left side of your car. I don't recall ever having any issues at the ATM. It's always functional when I have needed to use it. The only downside is that once you are done with the drive-thru ATM, you have to head out on the road. If you want to shop at the other stores within the strip mall, you need to cycle back. With the bank located in a strip mall, there is plenty of parking. (15)

There weren't any odd curves as if you are going through a maze. I was happy. The ATM at this drive-thru accepts cash and cheque deposits without stuffing everything in an envelope. The ATM scans everything that you submit into the slot. I gave it a go with my cash. It accurately scanned my deposit and I was good. I like this drive-thru. Whenever I am in the area, I'd come back. All personnel from tellers and both manager's for client services and branch manager were amazing, polite and very understanding. Both Eric and Rosette addressed my issue with utmost urgency and professionalism. They escalated the issue within minutes with their home office and within 24 hours, the draft was on hold and a replacement set in motion. Both managers were genuinely concerned and even though I was not a client , they all treated the situation as well as myself with the same level of respect and courtesy which made the ordeal less stressful and a very positive experience.

Both are gone. My friend, who was also my colleague, and I came here during our lunch break regularly. She banked with CIBC. Back then, this branch was next door to Price Chopper. With all the changes that occurred at this plaza, it's now a standalone building at the corner on Brimley Road and Huntingwood Drive. I had no problem finding the entrance to the drive-thru ATM. Even with my dilated eyes, it was straightforward. There was one vehicle ahead of me, which gave me time to fetch my bank card out of my wallet. The ATM was clean. I had no problem entering my PIN and performing a straightforward cash withdrawal. Easy peasy! There is parking in front of this branch. It was a bit busy, as it was just before noon. There's a Tim Hortons and a Pizza Pizza a few doors down from this CIBC, so be careful driving over to this bank. It looks like this bank is the only business with a drive-thru here. Unlike other tellers and even ones in the offices, She was the ONLY one who was even care to give it a try and help saves a customer's money which was ABSOLUTELY unnecessary for the wire transfer from before. She was also very professional, patience and understanding. From the details and suggestions she had for me yesterday, you can tell she was highly dedicated to her work and was just on it, at the very moment you decided something. The speed of her service was fast, more staffs like this and hopefully there won't be long line ups and wait time at banks. CIBC needs more staffs like Jessie who can actually help the customers, the branch and the image of the bank. What was odd was seeing a man stretched out on the carpeted floor, with his shoes off, occasionally looking at us, while trying to fall asleep. From simply walking around the branch's exterior, this branch is huge! Finally, I found the other entrance to both the ABMs and main branch. I walked in and three ABMs greeted me. This branch has the new machines where you don't need envelopes to make deposits. Additionally, more of these machines are dispensing $5 bills.
