I did a quick search for a Scotiabank. I found this one a block away. Perfect! It was a soggy, rainy afternoon. I drove over to this plaza. It has seen better days. There was a massive store that had shuttered for good across from this branch. I couldn't tell what it used to be. I backed into a parking spot steps away from the main entrance. I walked into the branch to use an ABM. This bank does not have a drive-thru. This branch's lobby was bright and clean. I found three ABMs to my left. I used one of them and withdrew some cash. I have a Tangerine bank card, which works at any Scotiabank ABM. I got my cash. I was happy. The branch was closed for the day, but there were some staff there, likely wrapping things up before calling it a day. I had a good experience here. If I need cash and am in the area, I'd return to this branch. (124)

I have been working for this company for over 7 years and have always made deposits and Revenue Canada payments at this branch. Today, I was told that I could not make the payment as I am not on the account. I am not on the account as I am employed by the company on Contract as the bookkeeper. I will never be on the account. I was then told the only other alternative was to open a personal account at the TD. I questioned this as it did not seem to make any sense. The cheque was a business cheque signed by authorized signatories for the business and the cheque was made out to the Receiver General. Why would I have to open an account to pay a bill by a cheque from the company. After not getting any real answer as to why or than it was policy, I left and went to the branch in Newmarket. I had to get this paid as the HST was due and I was not about to open an account. Needless to say I had no problem paying the bill with the cheque I had. I then asked to speak to the manager of that branch to get an explanation for the ordeal that I went through at the other branch. The manager was quite helpful and pleasant and apologized for what I went through. She recommended that I continue to go to her branch with regards to the Business account and that there is no such policy by the TD to open an account to pay a business account bill by cheque. The drive into Newmarket is not far but traffic is pretty bad on Davis at Hwy 404 at the end of the day. My suggestion for the TD is to get all their branches on the same page. I feel that this policy the other branch told me was something that was made up because they obviously had no idea how to pay a bill with a signed business cheque. I can understand a teller not knowing how to pay the bill (newbee) but I sure would expect the person in charge of the place would have a pretty good grasp on how things work.

I was told i had to make an appointment. funny because another RBC branch did it in minutes without an appt. so did TD. RBC SUCKS

The bank had a drive-thru. I typically use it to do banking when I'm in the vicinity…read more The drive-thru is narrow and different. You go through a building and around to get to the ATM. You also lose satellite reception if you have a satellite radio. So, I wanted to withdraw money at the drive-thru's ATM. It was out of service. Instead, I parked my car in front of the bank and walked in. It had just closed at 16:00 on a Saturday afternoon. There are two ATMs. The bank is clean and the machines were operational. I am not Happy with your Services for the following reasons…read more..... 1, First, (Wade Power) Claims Advisor - Client Relation Centre or the appraiser don't check the proof of recent repair attached file , They gave final value price without even check/ look at my file , this tells me that no one cares or response , or do the job properly or right. 2, The appraiser sent out wrong information which I don't even repair ( maybe looking on someone's else file) giving me wrong information, poor service. 3, I take time to the documents and highlighted the attached document to show you how much it costs me to change the parts , I provided all the requirement documents from Canadian tire a proof , again no one's care and no one looks at it. I have been with State Farm Insurance for several years and cannot think of a better company out…read morethere. Several years ago (when living in downtown Toronto), my house was broken into. This company was fantastic and had my claim settled quickly. I even got a phone call from a record store advising me that State Farm had sent them a cheque and for me to pop down and start rebuilding my cd collection. Just recently, my car was sideswiped by someone trying to park next to me in a city parking lot. I was parked at the time. I called my insurance company and the next day I got a call from a body repair shop advising me that state farm had contacted them and for me to bring my car in for an estimate. They even assisted in arranging for a rental car during the repair period. Great company....everyone I've dealt with has been stellar and informative.
