We had such a pleasant experience with this father-and-son duo. It's always great doing business with genuinely good people. I contacted Scorpion Billiards last minute to set up our pool table after recently redoing our garage floors. Gabriel responded promptly via Yelp and confirmed they could take on the job. The cost was reasonable, and their skill set was impeccable. We enjoyed a great conversation with both of them as they assembled our table. They been in business for many years and highly recommend their craftsmanship. Thank you, Scorpion Billiards, for such a wonderful experience! We will continue to reach out for any future service needs. read more

I hired a new contractor for the rework and they noted loose screws: poor stretching and poor level. Which confirmed my beliefs

Everything went wonderfully from the beginning of talking about the pool table, setting it up, picking out colors just about everything. It went very smoothly with Gabriel and also his Dad Gabriel. We sent him a deposit through Zelle that he asked for we were a little hesitant like everybody these days, but absolutely everything went perfectly. They delivered it on time within minutes and those minutes were earlier not later of what they said they would be here , They moved it around a little bit before the slate went on and make sure it was in the right location that we wanted and that was gonna make everything perfect for us and put the belt on new bumpers new everything it just is beautiful and then we paid him the cash of course for the rest of the delivery. I recommend this company extremely high five star and more if I could give it they did everything really appreciate it and we will call him again if we ever needed it to be referred anything like that well worth any money that you would pay great job. read more

Unfortunately I had the same experience as some fellow yelpers, in the end when the left the table was NOT level. ; it seemed like they did a good job as they charged me over 1000 to go to Kernville, was a 4 hour drive each way, however they set up my pool table, and shortly after I discovered that the 3 pieces of slate are apart and not level. I called Gabriel and he said there must have been an incident or eathquake, howaeer no one touched the pool table after they were finished and there was no earthquake. Now I have to pay another 1200 for someone else to come out and level the table properly. I used them before and they were GREAT. Not this time and would never use them again. read more

At first, they seem great--super responsive and friendly, answering all your questions and bragging about their 30 years of experience. But once you book, everything changes. They send out a father and son who act like it's a loyal family business, rush through the installation, and are out the door in no time. The worst part? After that, they completely disappear. No returned calls, no follow-up, nothing. My table wasn't leveled properly, and I was told they'd "let me know when they're in the area." It's been 10 days--radio silence. read more

This father son duo was truly awesome! Not only did they speak with both my wife and me most of the day and night, but they also answered all of our questions happily. It took the full day before they even knew that were in fact going to purchase either a pool table and/or pool table service from them. After looking at prices of other pool tables and adding movers to it, we thought why look any further? We avoided paying 2 different people and got a great price! We even got it the next day! The install was under 2 hours, and really cool to see. I especially liked when they sealed the slate. They brought it in, put the new felt on it, put it together, tested it, explained the ins and outs of care and other things we may need (like a cover). They were very respectful of us, our property, our animals, and kept a clean and safe work area. We even had a pleasant conversation (I'm a chatty Cathy). Was it weird to ask for a deposit? At first, we thought so, because how did we know they would show up? BUT when you think about it, how do they know they didn't just take a table apart, load it up their truck, drive all the way here, for us to say "never mind"? I personally decided to use my credit card as a precaution, and they sent me a receipt while I was on the phone with them. At that point I knew there was nothing to worry about. They showed up right when they said they would, and I paid them the remainder after they were completed, and we were satisfied. We give these guys 5 stars and HIGHLY recommend to anyone who is looking for a pool table, needs a pool table re felt, or needs a pool table moved. Thank you guys so much! We appreciate you! read more

I took a chance on Scorpion Billiards and I couldn't be happier! Gabriel was my first point of contact through an ad I reached out to on Facebook Marketplace. I was looking for someone to pick up and disassemble a used pool table I was interested in buying. Gabriel gave me a very fair price on his services to pick up, deliver, and install at my house with new felt and all. Me being someone who researches my purchases, started asking more questions to Gabriel about brand names and quality of each brand. He gave me all the information I needed to make an informed decision. Ultimately, Gabriel offered me an opportunity to buy a beautiful Olhausen 8' table that he happened to have in his inventory. He included two cues, a set of Aramith balls, and two racks. He and his partner showed up on the day we agreed to meet and they set the table up in no time at all. I was able to pick my felt color and be a part of the placement of the table in the room. The table is absolutely beautiful and the quality of work provided by Scorpion Billiards is top notch!! I will refer them to everyone I know!! read more

These guys are awesome! I hired them to move a pool table I sold to my buddy. Im in Huntington Beach and he's all the way in Upland but they showed up on time (early actually) carefully dissasembled my table and had it out the door in no time. Now the above and beyond stuff: My buddy got stuck in Palm Springs and the guys had to wait over an hour for him to get there to unload it. No attitude at all. Which is rare these days. If you need to move or set up a pool table these guys are your guys. I couldn't be happier with them and I'd hire them again in a heartbeat. read more

The wife and I had been looking to purchase a used pool table for a few weeks. I contacted Gabriel at Scorpion Ballards to inquire if we found a table, what would be their fee to pick up, deliver, and install. His prices are very competitive to others that we contacted. When I spoke to Gabriel, he happened to have a couple of used tables for sale. One of the tables he had for sale was an older table that was hand made several years ago by him his father when they had their manufacturing buissnees. When I looked at the table, I could tell it was made of high quality. Unfortunately, we didn't like the color. We wanted a black table. Gabriel said he could paint it the color we wanted for an amazing price. I was a little skeptical about how it was going to come out. The table came out great! Gabriel and his father did an amazing job getting all completed within a weeks time after I gave them a reasonable deposit of $300. Do not hesitate to use Scorpion Ballards. This father and son business is very experienced, professional, and friendly. The photos show the table before and after. read more

I had them to move and re felt the billiard table I bought . Don't hire them as a sincere comment of how they are . They dont know how they do professional job and they aren't even close to as good as they believe . The day was smooth and Gabriel and his dad did the job. I have the picture of what they have done . 1. The do not use machinery Hugh precision leveling , so the table isn't flat at all and the ball isn't traveling straight in most shots . 2. The re felting wasn't done well enough , the felt isn't stretched enough and there is so spots I can see the ball stops its speed . 3. The side of the table weren't put together well , it failed a days after they left 4. When they were done with job they didn't even give me 5 min to shoot and see how is table and they just ran 5. I texted him mentioning before having the review I wanna give you a chnace to come fix what you have done . He said you have 40 days of warranty and he will come fix it on Saturday and that is the time propbaly he blocked my number and never responded. Again do not ask.them to move or install your table. read more

I found Gabriel's ad on Facebook Marketplace and after reviewing his work online and through Yelp decided to send him a message. He responded promptly and courteously. Scheduling was a bit difficult but we settled on a date and price. The day came for install and Gabriel didn't show up. I contacted him and he apologized and we rescheduled. He showed up on time and even provided a discount for my previous inconvenience. Gabriel and his assistant moved my pool table from my upstairs loft to my downstairs and re-felted my table. He did so efficiently and kept his work area clean. I would definitely recommend Gabriel at Scorpion Billiards. read more

These are the guys to use. Father and son duo. Professional, ON TIME, fast, efficient. What more could you ask? I had them pickup a pool table from my buddy at his storage in victorville, and bring to my house in moreno valley first thing in the morning. We had a hickup because apparently my BUDDY LOST ALL THE SCREWS AND BOLTS to reassemble! So they made a pitstop at home depot with proof of purchase for the additional compensation and BAM! Theyre high rated for a reason. You won't be disappointed! read more

I was in the process of looking for a pool table but had no luck. I finally found one that I liked and I started to look for table movers since the table was out of town. Well I found Gabriel and his company that he runs with his Dad and we started communicating via text about the table and prices etc. He not only was quick in replying to my texts but was very professional and genuinely helpful. He sent me pictures of different tables and suggestions and finally I settled on a 7' foot table that he was offering for a better price than the table that I was initially buying. At first my wife was skeptical about putting a deposit down because she had a bad experience with PayPal. I finally convinced her on a Sunday and like they promised, they were at my house the following Friday (on time) . They are very professional, knowledgeable and did an amazing job!!! Hands down my first experience with pool table movers and I will definitely go with them again for anything I need. Highly recommend and very trustworthy! read more

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Look no further because these are the guys to use for moving your pool table, or if you need any service on your table. They showed up right on time, worked extremely fast and were very professional. It was everything I hoped for and more. Oh, and did I mention their pricing is unbeatable! They met me right at 2pm to pick up the pool table and were finished professionally disassembling and loaded up everything in their van by 2:30pm. They then followed me to my house about 15 minutes away and immediately got to work on setting up the pool table, measuring the correct space between the walls so that the table was set up perfectly in the room. The table was completely set up, leveled and ready to play by 3:30pm. Like I said earlier, do not look any further. These are the guys to use for your pool table needs. Don't try to get all your pals together to move a pool table like a bunch of fools. Get it done by professionals who know what they're doing and are honest, trustworthy, affordable and will get the job done right. I couldn't recommend them any higher! read more

Gabriel came up to Big Bear to refelt my pool table. Arrived on time, did a great job, and price was very competitive. Thank you very much!

We are extremely pleased with the service we received today from Scorpion Billiards! Gabriel and his son, Gabriel Jr were awesome and so professional. We love supporting small, family businesses. We called around a few places to get a quote to move a pool table from 1 location to another, maybe 5 miles away. I had no idea what went into moving a pool table. I thought maybe 5 strong guys can lift it onto a truck, transport, then lift off truck and put in place. Lol!! Well now I know that is just plain ridiculous and crazy thinking!! All the rates were similar but we chose Scorpion Billiards because of the customer service Gabriel provided over the phone. Owning two business ourselves, we are pretty strict on good customer service. It's truly a shame how many are lacking this simple but essential component. Anyways, the guys came out the next day all the way to the Santa Clarita Valley!! We were so excited for the last minute service. They arrived about 10 minutes early (we ended up running a bit late to meet them though). They did not rush the service. They quickly and safely dissembled the table in maybe 20 minutes. When they arrived at my home though they took their time positioning the table, putting every piece back in place, refelting and leveling. They even put our cue rack on the wall for us. Very satisfied and will recommend to anyone we can. You guys gained customers for life. Thank you! read more

This father son duo is the best in SoCal Area. They know their stuff! They build custom tables and even installed plenty of tables over the 33 years. I had a used table I purchased from another person and the table was not in the best of shape but Gabriel and his dad did their best to fix everything. Two of the pockets I had were ripped, but Gabriel patched them up. The previous owner used cement putty to glue the slates, which is kind of a big no no (unless you are using the table outdoors). They scraped off the cement putty and even filled in some holes the previous owner drilled into the slate. I would recommend them, they set up the table quick and the cheapest around. I will be calling them again when I move. read more
