One word in an evolving world; craftsmanship!…read more I met Lou when researching the replacement for my Beach Pool table (made in Orange County, CA). The pool table is a beautiful maple and mahogany table, a piece of art for all ages, with mother of pearl inlays. We've had the table for almost 20 years and wanted to make sure we had someone with great skill and temperament when restoring the table to its glory (replacing the felt and side rails). The table has hosted many, young and old, even some who are no longer here; unbelievable memories of friends and family. When interviewing local professionals, we were quickly able to discern who knew their pool tables and their history; no one wants a newbie to work on a piece of furniture that's been with the family for decades. This is where Lou stood out of the crowd. He took the time to ask very specific questions to determine the make, model, and age. We traded pictures and swatches as our conversation ensued. His pricing was extremely competitive for an artist of felt, leather, slate, and wood. We ordered the tournament quality felt and replaced the rails. Lou came ON TIME, as PROMISED! We knew it was going to be a good day. Lou removed the felt and suggested we do not replace the bumpers, as they We in great shape...who loses revenue by having INTEGRITY NOT TO OVERCHARGE??? LOU!!! Lou completely overhauled the table, removed the bad wax, re-leveled that table (that's why my game was off ;) He replaced the felt and removed the huge staples that were installed by the Billard shop in Santa Clarita (that's out of business). Smaller staples could have been used to salvage the rails when restoring! Glad Lou had the patience and skill to correctly install the felt. He waxed the table, eliminated wear blemishes and revived the table to its days of glory. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND Lou and West Coast Tables, he's an artist with a humble approach

It was Labor Day so most stores were closed as a last resort effort we called mission billiards and barstools, and they miraculously enough were open. We popped by and the tables were all absolutely beautiful. We came in looking for a $200-700 table. While we didn't find that there, but Peter educated us on why used tables can be so cheap and why it's better to bite the bullet and get a table of quality that will last, rather than a cheap table that will need tons of repairs and end up costing the same in repairs. He educated us on tables, and made the process very fun and informative with customizing our table. The installation process was so simple, he helped us coordinate a day and had the table delivered and installed. The table is a staple piece that is showed off and appreciated every day. Thank you truly so much Peter for creating an educational experience and for being so kind and informative. Will be telling our friends about this place and about Peter!
