Doesn't seem like a great business model, especially if you don't want to drive that far. Two stars because apparently they do good work (from reading their other reviews) but I won't get to find out.

Why advertise in San Diego if you're not willing to drive there??

The menu has the typical fare found in other sports bars and pubs. There is even a make your own pasta option. The menu is extensive. I ordered a ribeye steak as it was recommended by previous reviewers. It came with soup and salad options and a side. I chose a clam chowder soup and broccoli as my side. Food comes out of the kitchen as it is made so, if in a large group (10+), be prepared for a rather long wait and plates coming out piece meal. The generously sized ribeye steak was at the requested medium rare temperature but it was a very thin cut. It was seasoned simply with salt and pepper. The steak was tender and juicy with a good char grilled flavor. The broccoli was cooked to a crisp tender and tasted good. Clam chowder came out of the kitchen only a few minutes before my main so I enjoyed that with my steak. This was a good tasting chowder, albeit with more potatoes than minced clams. There seems to be a blue cheese tanginess in the chowder which is different from the usual. If there was cheese, it was a good flavor addition. This restaurant would be perfect for large groups in general as there is plenty of space to accommodate. It was not what we were looking for as a club meeting place due to the overall loud background music but the food and beverage options here are A1. Their fish and chips and BBQ ribs looked particularly appealing. I would certainly return to get another good meal here.

For the mountain, it's solid, the bartenders are friendly, the drinks are good, and the food is decent. That said, my main concern is with the atmosphere. It's... fine. And that's exactly the problem. As most of us know, there's a serious lack of entertainment options up here, especially for people under 60. Despite the older demographic, there's still a sizable group of younger, creative, and social folks looking for something to do. Sure, you could be satisfied with a '70s rock cover band for the 100th time in the village, but if not, then Dogwood has the potential to be the go-to spot if it just puts in a bit more effort. The last event listed on your website was in 2019. The last Instagram post was over two months ago, and the one before that was for New Year's Eve. With that kind of minimal effort in promoting and programming, it's no surprise the vibe is lacking. If Dogwood committed even 50% effort to curating consistent experiences and letting people know about them, I believe it could be one of the best spots on the mountain. I had Ryan Moody from Leisure Time come out to my house to re-level my table after I moved it (unprofessionally). He came highly recommended from a friend. Ryan came out in a reasonable time frame and charged a VERY reasonable fee for his services. When he showed up, I let him know that my bumpers were loose in addition to the table not being level, and I also asked if he could move the table to a different spot to allow for shooting rom. He happily obliged! He did an incredibly thorough job and really took his time to make sure all details were handled. Even after he finished, he took some time to express the specifics and even gave me some chalk to match my felt so I could start playing right away instead of waiting for Amazon. Leisure Time was truly a pleasure to work with and when I move again in November this year, I will hire them to move me correctly (instead of unprofessionally this time). Thanks again Ryan!! I will definitely recommend you to all my pool hall junkies. read more

Ryan Moody was instrumental in helping me to surprise my husband with a pool table for his birthday. My husband had been given a table that had not had any felt on it and was literally in a bunch of pieces. It sat as an eyesore in my garage for almost a year. I didn't know if there were even enough pieces to make a complete pool table. I have an extremely hectic schedule as I work two jobs but Ryan worked with my schedule came out to my house, and pieced together a beautiful pool table complete with bright red felt! He also had available to sell a complete start up kit. I was at work the entire time while they worked to create this masterpiece. I was able to take care of the financial obligation through a cash app and returned home only to be speechless at the beautiful work they did. I highly recommend Leisure Time pool tables. Leisure Time Pool Tables You came highly recommended to me. Yelp pushes these fake reviews into first and 2nd positions in an effort to get you to advertise with them. I wouldn't be surprised if they are employing people to write the bad reviews. My company got a call the next day after we received our first 1-star after getting 53 five star reviews. If you are reading negative reviews on this business, just know Yelp is getting desperate to become profitable. So, they are forcing negative reviews to the tops of lists. It's sad that Yelp would work to ruin your business Leisure Time Pool Tables. I look at the negative reviews now and just know that Yelp is behind it. Think about it. They are a business that profits off of giving people an opportunity to take out their competition. It's such a scam. read more

We hired Ryan, the owner of Leisure Time pool tables, to move a pool table for us. They had a lot of steps to go down to get the pool table into our home so it was no easy task. He and his helper Paul did an EXCELLANT job and are 100% professional in their work I would highly recommend him to anyone in need of moving a pool table.
