Ryan and Paul did an excellent job moving my pool table from Redlands to hemet. They were priced very reasonable! Highly recommend them!

He bought me a shot, and we went to play pool. The atmosphere felt friendly, and I was in a good mood celebrating the 49ers' win. Between games, I went to use the restroom. I checked a stall that appeared unoccupied and began to open the door. Suddenly, the door was forcefully slammed shut onto my hand. I tried to pull my hand away but wasn't fast enough. Immediately after, the woman inside said, "It's your fault for opening the door." I responded by asking why the door hadn't been locked. My finger began throbbing, and a blood blister quickly formed. As I exited the restroom in pain, the woman followed me out, despite me repeatedly asking her to leave me alone. She continued to harass me and stated that she saw my hand and did it on purpose, yet still claimed it was my fault. She then said she was the owner's daughter and implied that this excused her actions and that I should have known better than to open the stall door. I informed the bartender of what happened. Instead of addressing the injury or the harassment, the bartender responded by saying, "She is the owner's daughter, and if you're going to make a big deal out of it, you need to leave." I was shocked that my injury and the fact that I was being followed and harassed were dismissed solely because the person who injured me was related to the owner. I attempted to remain calm and civil. I asked for a pin and tequila so I could tend to my blood blister myself. Even then, it was clear that more concern was given to protecting the owner's daughter than to the safety and well-being of a customer who had been injured and harassed. This experience left me feeling unsafe, disrespected, and unheard. No customer should be physically injured, followed, harassed, and then told to leave simply because the person responsible is related to the owner.

Upon arrival, there was it wait at all and we were immediately treated to see how we could be assisted. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The food was delicious. The menu has the typical fare found in other sports bars and pubs. There is even a make your own pasta option. The menu is extensive. I ordered a ribeye steak as it was recommended by previous reviewers. It came with soup and salad options and a side. I chose a clam chowder soup and broccoli as my side. Food comes out of the kitchen as it is made so, if in a large group (10+), be prepared for a rather long wait and plates coming out piece meal. The generously sized ribeye steak was at the requested medium rare temperature but it was a very thin cut. It was seasoned simply with salt and pepper. The steak was tender and juicy with a good char grilled flavor. The broccoli was cooked to a crisp tender and tasted good. Clam chowder came out of the kitchen only a few minutes before my main so I enjoyed that with my steak. This was a good tasting chowder, albeit with more potatoes than minced clams. There seems to be a blue cheese tanginess in the chowder which is different from the usual. If there was cheese, it was a good flavor addition. This restaurant would be perfect for large groups in general as there is plenty of space to accommodate. It was not what we were looking for as a club meeting place due to the overall loud background music but the food and beverage options here are A1. Their fish and chips and BBQ ribs looked particularly appealing. I would certainly return to get another good meal here.

For the mountain, it's solid, the bartenders are friendly, the drinks are good, and the food is decent. That said, my main concern is with the atmosphere. It's... fine. And that's exactly the problem. As most of us know, there's a serious lack of entertainment options up here, especially for people under 60. Despite the older demographic, there's still a sizable group of younger, creative, and social folks looking for something to do. Sure, you could be satisfied with a '70s rock cover band for the 100th time in the village, but if not, then Dogwood has the potential to be the go-to spot if it just puts in a bit more effort. The last event listed on your website was in 2019. The last Instagram post was over two months ago, and the one before that was for New Year's Eve. With that kind of minimal effort in promoting and programming, it's no surprise the vibe is lacking. If Dogwood committed even 50% effort to curating consistent experiences and letting people know about them, I believe it could be one of the best spots on the mountain. Come on guys, my 94-year-old grandmother could do a better marketing job than you, and she barely knows how to use the internet. If you do better, you will be better!
