    Almost escaped!
    Melissa H.

Just got home from almost escaping! Took my 13 year old son and his three friends and they had a blast! Very fun and challenging. Always looking for fun, new, interesting things for them to do and this was definitely it! Very affordable prices compared to other places. Brooklyn was very helpful, kind, and patient. We will definitely be back!

We had such a great experience here! This was both of our first times trying out an escape room, and we'll be back for sure(: They took us in as a last minute walk in, and we were greeted with a warm smile by the lady working there who was patient while she answered all of our questions! Also was very helpful, 10/10 recommend!

I would give less stars if I could. I worked here and I have to say the owner Adam does not care about his business. he did not care about paying his employees or actually fixing the issues with the rooms themselves. We had multiple issues with the locks on the "iron man" room to the point where the manager (a 17 year old girl) had to scale a wall because the owner Adam wouldn't fix them. Not to mention the fact that they are horribly overpriced, the puzzles don't make sense without hints & the employees are severely underpaid. Oh but on the bright side they do have fun contests where employees can win extra money! Unless you win more than one and then the owner "forgets" about the contest. So you have to get a second job to support yourself and they start taking you off the schedule and fire you because you "abandoned your job" instead of just paying you a livable wage. Don't waste your money. They charge you for the things you "break" as well. here's a little secret: if the employee didn't notice something broken before the last group left & you touch it during your time, they'll say you broke it and charge you for it! Plus none of the rooms are soundproof so you can hear everyone in the other rooms. Find a better escape room.

My husband and I came in tonight for a spur of the moment escape room challenge. We were lucky to be able to get in right away. Our room was the Warwick room, it was Harry Potter themed, spells and wands and such. To our surprise it was soooo challenging. Even with hints we still weren't able to complete the room. But it was definitely fun trying. We are actually in line to try their Stark room next just to get our W for the night. Wish us luck. I 10/10 recommend if your looking for something to do.

We just tried their new game, "Triton!" I gotta Say, this one was tough but sooooo much fun!!!! The room design was great and the decor was perfect for the theme. The puzzles were well thought out and really engaging. Our team of three had to ask for a total of four hints, and made it out with 3 mins and 34 seconds to spare! We've done all of the rooms they have to offer, but this was by far the best! Special shout out to our puzzle master Alison (I think) who even reminded my wife that she needed to check her blood sugar in the midst of the excitement! If you're on the fence about giving their puzzles a try, just dive in and do it!

Proud of ourselves despite running out of time.

The new owner doesn't pay his employees and the rooms always have broken puzzles. If you want to not have fun, this is the place for you.

We loved the nature hike we had "Jelly" (a couple of our groups got rained out-obviously to no fault of the camp), we enjoyed archery, paint ball sling shots with "Stitch", painting wood necklaces, drama circle, and an amphitheater with breathtaking views of the the sunset. We loved our hike to the lake for canoeing. I too thought the pool was chilly but it was clean! Their swim rules seemed to be really intense to me. "No jumping off the edge of the pool" hmmm ok. In my opinion overly cautious. However, the Rock wall was a blast, equipment was in good condition. Hatchet throwing was hard, but fun. I wish the hatchets were sharp enough to grab the wood. It was rare anyone stuck one into the log rounds. Some combination of wood being too hard or axes not balanced correctly made that activity a struggle. We enjoyed trying. The team building activities were thoughtful and stretched our girls as individuals and forced team unity. Maybe my favorite part of all of camp. They lost a star for food quality and portions but the staff was always in good spirit. I also wish our group had the entire cafeteria to ourselves as we often were low on space at tables and often went outside as our designated seating was full. But the food was served on time and they got a lot of people food in timely fashion. They were organized. Our cabins were dry when it rained and i felt safe from the elements and wildlife that can live nearby. Some mattresses were thicker than others. I was comfortable enough for a week of camping. The plumbing struggled at times but not sure that was the camps fault or the 85 GIRLS who MAY have not disposed of things properly. Lol Overall I think with some retraining on camp cooking and a minor tweak here and there this would be a 5 star camp. The location was beautiful. The staff was friendly. The activities were super fun!

She shared interesting stories about the neighborhood and the restaurants, which made it feel more like exploring the area with a knowledgeable friend rather than a typical tour. The food was delicious and plentiful, and we even met some really nice new friends along the way. Our very first Six Taste tour was actually the Arts District tour back in 2016, so it was special to return ten years later and experience it again. Over the years we've also enjoyed their tours in Downtown Los Angeles, Hollywood, Santa Monica, Thai Town, Koreatown, and Little Tokyo. Every tour has been a fun way to discover great food and learn more about the neighborhoods of Los Angeles. Highly recommend!

Six Taste Food Tours is a family-owned, LA-born-and-raised business, and you can feel the love, pride, and intention in every part of the tour. We did the Little Tokyo food tour and it was incredible from start to finish. Sally, the owner and our guide, is an absolute force. She is warm, knowledgeable, fun, and has the best energy. She doesn't just show you where to eat, she teaches you the history, culture, and stories behind the neighborhood while making sure everyone feels welcomed and taken care of. And the FOOD. Wow. You will not leave hungry. Sally feeds you like family and thoughtfully curates each stop so you're getting a true taste of the neighborhood, not tourist filler. Every bite was delicious and meaningful. This is not just a food tour, it's an experience. You're learning, laughing, vibing, and eating extremely well. If you live in LA or are visiting, this is a must. They offer tours in so many different neighborhoods, and after this one, I want to do them all. Do yourself a favor and book it. You will not regret it.

We received a Groupon for this, and yet even with the discounted price, we didn't really feel it was worth the cost. Had we actually paid $38 retail price for this, I would have been extremely disappointed. Their website had technical issues when trying to redeem our purchase. When we finally got through, the "app" was really just a link to an online survey site that asked you questions and you filled in the answers. It was really this low-tech website that made us feel as if it was a cheap experience. As for the questions themselves, some of them were interesting at best and some of them were very easy. This might make it nice for a family with young children, but for a group of adults, we didn't find it challenging enough. I did, however, enjoy some of the corny jokes and random facts. There was also some obvious advertising in it, which, again, made it feel like a cheap experience. Overall, I'd say if you're willing to pay the money, it makes for an interesting stroll through Big Bear. Otherwise, it's not a "must do" experience. As I mentioned before, this was not our first scavenger hunt experience, and if I were to rank all the scavenger hunts we have done, this would probably rank the lowest.
