The whole time on the way to this "ZOO" me & my bf made jokes about it being cages in someone's backyard ... "imagine it's just a bunch of animals in the back of someone's house". That's actually KIND OF what it was, but I actually enjoyed coming here and so did my kids. We got an offer on Groupon family pack of 4 for $19 & children under 2 are free. Groupon time shows 10-4pm but the actual time is 345pm-5pm. We showed up at 1pm, and had to drive around and waste time for almost 3 hours. Our tour guide was Tiffany, she was very informative on explaining everything about each individual animal. They have deer, lamb, llama, camels, a baby gator, ostrich, a zebra, a baboon, tigers, a bear, porcupine, lemurs, etc. it was a good one time experience. I reccomend

Amazing little zoo staff is super friendly!! Went for boo at the zoo and had an amazing time

We really enjoyed our visit at this zoo today. We signed up for one hour of a guided tour to feed the animals. My 5 year old really wanted to go to a zoo, but because of COVID 19, they are closed. So, this seemed like a great option. And it was! The tour was limited to a group of 10, which was our family and another. Our guide was super friendly and knowledgeable about the animals. I read the negative reviews below and feel that many of them are unfair. I could tell by the website that this was going to be small and not a typical zoo. If that's what you are looking for, then this is not for you. For me, this was better than a typical zoo experience: uncrowded, fair price, lots of attention from a knowledgeable tour guide, interactive because we got to help feed the animals in the cool of the evening. If you want to go to a zoo all day long in the hot summer sun with large crowds of people and have to walk from one end of the park to another, this is not your zoo.

Some of the friendy animals were avalible for selfies.

Cooo lil Zoo out in the High Desert, cold day most of animals were keeping warm in the homemade shacks. The Main attraction We wanted to see was the bear hibernation time. The tour guide she was extremly nice friendly and knowledgeable on all the animals. I m not Peta nor a tree hugger animal ativist and I know very lil to none on keeping up with the Zoo animals but there habitat cages seem a bit small to me and even my 8 yr old daughter noticed. Im sure it is expensive to maintain this place but over all cages and all animal habitats were very cleaned and maintained. Fun place I recommend to come visit and help support the animals by your price of admission...We will be back summer time and see Mr Bear ...Oh yea I forgot to mention some of the Animals appeared in movies and commercials coo lil fun fact ..

Omg! Where do I start? This was an amazing experience for my family! My kids enjoyed every single bit of the tour. My husband and I were like big kids in a candy store(we exotic animals). The tour guide was amazing she was super friendly, knowledgeable about the animals. (You can tell that she enjoy doing her job). I love all the cool names of all the animals. It was just so amazing to see these beautiful majestic exotic animals up close and personal. All the animals had so much funny personalities. We will def. Go back and do the feeding tour. So we can interact with the bigger animals! Pls go & support this zoo. So they can continue to keep up this amazing place! .Way better than La Zoo!!! Seriously where can you see a Camel? White Tiger? Tigers? Wolves? Ostrich? A mean Lama? A sign language Baboon? Blue Eye Spider Monkey? Black bear? Where? All these Beautiful animals in our own back yard. Just was an amazing experience.... I am just in Aww.... Don't wanna bore you with my words go see for yourself!!!! It's every Cheap! It's even Cheaper on groupon!!!! Go!!!! see, interact, learn and Tip!!!

We brought our one year old daughter to this zoo and this is the first time in her life to see other creatures :) The size of the zoo is very good for young kid. It has some cool animals like bear tiger and ostrich. All the animals are very active and moving around. The tour guide was very nice and informative, telling us about the interesting facts of the animals. I will bring my daughter back to this zoo when she is a little older and could understand more. Definitely a educational fun place.

Alpine Zoo Wild Lights: A Magical Winter Experience Without the Hefty Price Tag…read more Alpine Zoo's Wild Lights is a perfect, family-friendly way to kick off the winter season--especially for young families looking for something festive without overspending. We visited with our two toddlers and debated between the regular daytime zoo admission ($58 for two adults, 2 children) or the nighttime Wild Lights event ($40 total). Since kids under five are free, the nighttime option won out--and it ended up being the best choice by far. The entire zoo transforms into a winter wonderland: glowing light displays, festive décor, and crisp mountain air that instantly puts you in the holiday spirit. Our toddlers were mesmerized and still got to see most of the animals roaming around, so it truly felt like getting the full zoo experience at a lower price. Wild Lights runs from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. through January 4, and you can comfortably explore it in about an hour. We strolled through the illuminated paths, took photos under the lights, let the kids burn off energy at the small playground, and ended the night sipping hot chocolate while listening to live Christmas music performed by a young singer. Simple, charming, and genuinely magical. If you're visiting during winter, bundle up--temperatures hover around 30 degrees--but don't let that deter you. This is an enchanting, affordable outing that checks every box: holiday magic, animal sightings, kid-friendly activities, and real value for your money. Highly recommend for families looking to make cozy winter memories without breaking the bank.

Visited Big Bear Alpine Zoo with my little nephews. It's open daily from 10a-4pm…read more Admission is reasonable. Children (2 & under) free. Children (3-12) $12. Adults $17. Most of the animals are nocturnal, so many of them were sleeping or not very active during the day. It made it really hard to enjoy or see much happening. I feel like you see more local wildlife rather than anything exciting or unique. They have a snack shop located right across from the kids' playground, with the restrooms and gift shop conveniently nearby. I respect that they focus on rehabilitation and rescue. It's clean, easy to walk through, and probably a good educational stop for kids.
