First time visit at the Scorpian Bar Boston after dinner with some friends for a birthday. We all had an amazing time. Music was great , loved the decor and ambiance, and loved the drink menu options. Graham the manager was extremely welcoming and for sure will come back ! Great place and must check out if you haven't ! read more

How can you mess up Mexican?! The food was terrible! Bland burrito, terrible salsa and cheese dip, plantains were dry and mealy. Unlikely to eat here again, which is too bad since it's so close. read more

This is one of the worst Mexican meals I have had in a long time. There's really nothing I can say I liked about the experience here. Margarita was ok at best, you pay ($5) for average chips and salsa, the fajitas were awful, the tortillas chewy. Mexican food is my favorite and I could not wait to try a new place, but there's no chance I'll ever come back here. Ok, a few positives - they played good 80s music and the atmosphere is fun. read more

I was here on 4th of July. I left my AirPods at my table, and I was in a rush .After 30 mins I realized it and called the restaurant to hold it for me , they told me that call us later. When I called the restaurant next day they told me "if we have it it's in the safe, I can't check it, only manager can do this." I asked her can I talk to manager? Her answer was "no, you have to come here, and talk with manager". It was showing in my "find my Iphone" till yesterday. Today I checked it again and it's already removed from the "find my Iphone". Then I came to talk with manager but they told me that they don't have it now. I don't understand this because I have been trying speak to manager passed 3 days. I live a bit far and I don't have my own transportation , if the first time I called if they would take action I would of have my AirPod. now lose of $ 250 for not being professional. This kind of customer service is not acceptable in a place like this. read more

Great dinner with my family and friends. Love their version of the PuPu Platter! The guacamole was the best i've had in a long time. So fresh! We had the tacos! Tried them all, fresh and delicious. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly. Overall a great night. Can't wait to go again! read more

This place is a great addition to the seaport. You just can't beat the location. The food was good and the people there were great. We were able to get seated quickly despite it being busy. And the food and drink came out quick as well. I will be back. read more

After Christina's message, I went and gave scorpion bar another try and was very pleasantly surprised. Service was great and I enjoyed trying some of their food as well this time. read more

Summary: Don't do it. Definitely not for dinner, and not for going out either. I don't care that its the "hot new place" ... it's a HARD PASS. The service is horrible, and the staff and management are rude. Dinner Experience: 0 out of 5 Going Out / Night Scene Experience: 2.5 out of 5 Now let me give you the play by play on both the dinner and going out experience. It's long, but should give you a full and accurate picture of Scorpion Bar: I was there on a Saturday night for a birthday dinner. We sat down for dinner and the service was extremely slow. I had to chase down the waitress to remind her that we had ordered drinks 30 minutes ago. Then had to chase her down again for the next round.... Then again for the food... And for the bill. But hey - it's supposed to be an experience right? Long dinner, enjoying with friends - fine, I get it. That is, until multiple waiters came up to our table and rudely started rushing us out because they needed to turn over the table and convert it for bottle service for their night club experience. They even started setting up the bottle service right on the table on top of of us as we're still waiting for the bill. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? WE'RE WAITING FOR YOU AND YOU'RE RUSHING US OUT?!?! Wow that riled me up. OK. I'm good. Anyways, then the manager came by to see why we weren't leaving, and I explained that we had been waiting to pay 30 minutes at least. He was completely apathetic and unhelpful. I've never met a manager who seemed to care less about leaving his customers happy than this guy. So as a result we won't be back. And then finally, to top it all off, they charged us for the birthday churros that they brought out at the end with a candle for the birthday girl. While I realize that $10 on a $400 tab seems insignificant, but come on. OK , now about the night scene: Very club-y even though the space they have is better suited for a cool lounge or bar scene than a night club. That night, the guys were really bro-y/ fratty, drinking bud-light, not dressed up, you the know the type. The girls were the opposite. Dressed UP. They we're there to mix and mingle. Average age was probably 28. Weirdly though, the guys were not talking to the girls at all. The music that night was throwback hip hop from the past 10 years. I wouldn't say its good a place to pick up men/women, but it is fun if you're trying to get a club scene and dance without feeling like you need to throw away your shoes afterwards. Hope this helps. read more

Went to the Scorpion Bar before a movie and we really wanted Mexican food. We were disappointed with the food and the extra cost of refills. We got the nachos with pulled bbq and the pulled bbq didn't have much flavor. The nachos also had cheese sauce instead of real melted cheese. Many of us got soft drinks and ice tea and after we finished our first round, the waiter asked us if we wanted a refill but failed to inform us that we would have to pay full price for additional refills! So we were so surprised when we got the bill! The food wasn't that great for the high price. We definitely won't be back. read more

O-4 celebrating the Marine Corps Birthday Ball. As the designated driver, I was hassled by security when trying to ensure all parties returned home safely. I stood outside with a mother looking for her son and was denied entrance. I STRONGLY do not recommend this businesses and will do everything in my power to prevent future visits. read more

overall, i am saddened by the experience that i had. My friends and i search up a new Boston business to support every week, and planned to come to scorpion bar all week, only to receive poor service. We've had a reservation and were still sat at a small bar stool type table. three women cannot possibly fit purses, themselves, appetizers, entrees and cocktails at a tiny table. we first asked the host to change our table and she put us on the other side of our current table which was a bout 3 inches wider. We then saw a party of TWO leave a corner booth type of table (which had a party of three in the booth type table directly next to it.) and asked to be moved there. After having to ask our server 7 times to move she finally moved us. After starting our appetizer, the manager comes over to us and he says "i actually need this table for a party of six that's coming in 20 minutes, you can stay here and eat until they come." ( i dont even see how that table fit 6 because the three of us average sized women were tight on the couch part, and there were two additional chairs) we ask where can we move instead and he says "back to that table you were at." I was in total disbelief. I myself am a restaurant manager and have never, and will never feel it is appropriate to leave a guest unhappy without even trying to find a resolution. I have had this reservation for days, and don't understand why satisfying another reservation is more of a priority than satisfying mine? After FINALLY realizing the severity of the situation, the manager comes back and says "i found another table, feel free to stay here." Why couldn't he find another table from the beginning? We were excited to try this bar, and spent hundreds of our dollars that we worked hard for, just to be treated poorly. The food was good, the drinks were good, the environment was perfect but the service was terrible. I hate to say this was racially motivated but that's exactly how i feel. dont think i'll be returning based on the discomfort i experienced. read more

I had an amazing experience at scorpion bar. The scorpion wings and jalapeño margarita were my favorite!

Love the food, not the usual mexican food, a good twist from the traditional on their house burritos and buffalo chicken flautas that are awesome, also the nachos were really big, we were 3 and we got a scorpion bowl for all of us, ok 2 of them, great that we could stay after dinner on a friday and it was nightclub night read more

I came here the other night with my best friend for a couple of drinks and apps. The empanadas were FANTASTIC. best I've ever had I would say and our server Juan was even better. Very sweet and very helpful. Would definitely recommend and would say to request him as a server :) read more

Service was so slow. We waited 20 minutes to even get water and even then we had to flag down someone and say that no waiter had come over yet. Then we waited 10 minutes more for someone to come over and actually give us the water we asked for. At that point, we also ordered our drinks and appetizer too because we realized the service was going to be so slow. We waited another 10 minutes for our drinks. The food ended up being really good, but the service just leaves a lot to be desired. Any place where I wait for 20 minutes and I have to ASK for water and to see a waiter is unacceptable in my book. read more

I was at Scorpion Bar a week ago and the food was amazing!! A Mexican menu filled with fajitas, tacos, enchiladas, nachos, etc. I was with 5 other friends and we ordered the fruit punch Scorpion bowl which was enough for all of us to share, when it came out it was very presentable and tasteful. Most importantly to me was that their staff was super friendly and the service was fast. I highly recommend this restaurant and I can't wait to be back. read more

I absolutely love this place. My friends and I have the greatest time everytime we go out to Boston. It's usually our preffered place to go, I highly recommend it. They play a really good mix of music, the crowd is attractive and the dancers are a plus. I also appreciate the service, they are very friendly and polite. I appreciate that the most, since I have been to places where the people providing the service have been arrogantly rude simply because. All in all, whenever my friends want to go out in Boston, we always have an amazing time at Scorpion. read more

Great atmosphere with an accommodating and friendly group of staff! This is one of my favorite bars in the seaport!

I have been in a hand full of times and the staff is amazing! The GM Graham has always taken care of us and treated us very well. We have got tables a few times and Graham always made sure we were taken care of and made sure our night was going smooth. The staff is very professional and this is a place people must check out. The best night to go is Saturday! read more

Loud....loud...loud restaurant. It's like trying to eat at a dance club. The decor is cool but the experience is just so bad. Did I mention that it's loud. read more

Unbelievable nachos-best we have ever had-great appetizers and drinks and fairly inexpensive for the amount of food you get. Ashley the bartender was very attentive and made great drinks!! Highly recommend! read more

I met my friends here after work. The Scorpion Wings are great. I wanted to try a smoked tequila, and this is def the place to do it because they've got a huge selection. I was a bit run down from the long week, so I wasnt really up to a night out, but after a tequila (or three), a tasty jalapeno margarita and great music I caught my second wind and ended up having a blast. I will definitely be back. I will probably try the brunch with my wife or maybe catch a game. They've got a fuge TV. read more

Extremely bad service at the bar. Bartender was not traveling down the bar and then when my order was acknowledged it still did not come out although the order was made clear. Overall I would not come back here. There should have been more than one bartender on the day before a holiday. read more

Ended up here for lunch at 1 pm cause the place we were trying to go was closed. Looked nice and menu looked great. As soon as we sat down, the music cranked up. We asked about it and were told by our waiter that the management was aiming for a "day club". The food and service were awesome but we literally had to yell to talk to each other (there were 4 of us so we weren't that far from each other) and still sometimes had trouble. Maybe we aren't their target audience (age range 25-50, we all agreed). Our waiter was awesome. Food was great but we won't be back :/ read more

This was one of the worst experiences I have had in a long time. I'm 30 so you can imagine how many bars or clubs I've been in. The bartender was rude and when we asked for management no one showed. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL. read more

We hosted a surprise party here for around 15 people here last night. The space they gave us was fantastic, which is why I give 2 stars. Other than that, our experience with Scorpion was no more than sub par. The waiter was INCREDIBLY RUDE, telling us that we were taking "his space." We had every intention of tipping 20-25% on a very high bill (which we did anyways) as we know having a bigger group can be challenging to a waiter. He was pushy, downright rude, and we left unimpressed by the restaurant and its service. Save your money and get overpriced Mexican food elsewhere. read more

First time yelp reviewer here. I have never taken my time to put down a restaurant but this experience was terrible. The margarita was the worst thing I have ever tasted. Sent it back, got a new one and it was even worse than the first. Paid $18 for a bag tortilla chips and Tostitos salsa. So grossly over priced. If you're in the area you need to just go to Loco (not sponsored) it's so much better and fresher and more authentic. Gross. read more

Really cool place! Awesome food and even cooler atmosphere. Cannot wait to come back again!

Loved loved loved .. my girlfriends and i were greeted promptly got to choose where we wanted to sit we sat st the bar.. got our drinks within the 1st 5 min.. really enjoyed the vibe..we each got different plates.. presented beautifully , this is my 1st review i totally forgot to get pics! But the menu had enough variety but still very true to the Mexican culture theme .. drinks were potent & delicious & perfect for girls night! My friends snd i were very satisfied with our experience & are looking forward to goin back!! And i promise to get pics lol read more

Where do I even start. We were sat quickly, which was about the start and end of good things at this restaurant. We ordered drinks - 3 margaritas and 3 beers. The margaritas are the number 1 contributor to America's type 2 diabetes they were so sweet. It was like someone took Jose Cuervo margarita mix and threw a lime in it. Oh well. Maybe the food will be good. Wrong. After over an hour, our 4 tacos, 1 quesadilla, chicken and rice, and street corn (about 1 ear of corn). The tacos were cold, one had a massive hair in it, and the street corn I think they legitimately pulled it out of a fridge. I also don't think it was even cooked and I was chewing on raw corn. After informing the waitress there was a hair in my food she apologized and said she'd take it off the bill. She didn't. She then offered (and by I mean offered just said "you're getting this") dessert to make it up to us. The churros took 2 minutes to come out but our 4 tacos took over an hour? The waitress then had the audacity to underline the part of the bill that says "tips are not included". Did I mention she spilled the sugar water "margarita" on one of us as well?? To top it all off the music was so loud at 8 pm I had to scream to the person next to me at dinner to hear. I get it's a club at night where people dance but who's dancing at 8 pm? No one. We were all eating. Or waiting to eat. I wouldn't go back here if you paid me. read more

My friend and I went to dinner at the Scorpion bar the Saturday of its opening weekend. The food and drinks are delicious and at great price-points especially for Seaport. It would be remiss of me to not mention how wonderful the hostesses and waitstaff were. My friend and I arrived slightly past 9:00 pm. While the kitchen closes around 9:45, the waitstaff went out of their way to make sure my friend and I were seated for dinner. This might seem like a minor point, but if you add half of the tables in the venue being reserved because a notable VIP guest was also arriving for dinner (think Patriots), while half of the remaining tables were being cleared out to make room for a dancefloor, this is no small feat. We are incredibly thankful to the hostesses and waitstaff who treated us like VIPs while there were 'real' VIPs in their venue. The music was fantastic and this will definitely become one of our new favorite spots in the Boston area. Thank you, Scorpion Bar for a great night! read more

food was gross and i'm surprised that the drinks were watery and bad. too many other great mexican places in seaport to waste your time on this place read more

I went here recently for a friends birthday. There was a group of about 16 of us. It was awesome that they could accommodate all of us considering most restaurants had a maximum of 12 people. Although my overall time at Scorpion Bar was not bad since I went with a great group of people I would not recommend going here. The food was average but definitely overpriced. I am pretty sure the drinks didn't contain any alcohol in them. To top everything off, when we received the bill we took the time to write down everyone's card information on the receipt and how much to charge that card. After doing this we were told they could only split the bill three ways. I don't mind the fact that they could only split the bill three ways (although I don't fully understand it) but this information should've been shared with us the second we made a reservation for such a large party, or at least at the time the bill was given us. I think the Boston and the Seaport area definitely has better places to offer. read more

Absolutely the most unprofessional place I have ever been to in my life. I have worked in the food service industry (as a server and at the corporate level) for many years and I couldn't believe how atrociously my friends and I were treated. Although it was busy, there is no excuse for rudeness. Every single person we dealt with was rude, entitled, and extremely unhelpful. My 6 girlfriends and I had a reservation for dinner at 7pm, we didn't sit down until about 9:00. Once we did sit down, we were not greeted by a server for another 25 minutes. After spending several hundred dollars on drinks and food, we were then told we could not sit and chat and that our table would be quickly taken from us at 10:00 because others rented it for it for the night. When stayed to talk a bit longer, we were literally forced out of our seats by several members of staff. We will NEVER be back and I will absolutely make sure to discourage all of my friends and over 10,000 instagram followers to never come here. Thanks for ruining me and my friends' only night out! read more

My friends and I visited last night for drinks and dancing. We got there early so we missed a line and paying a cover which was nice surprise. Bar staff was busy but super friendly. When we decided to finally check our coats we were met by the most rude and hostile employee in the history of coat checks and I'm 36 so I've checked many a coats at many establishments. She treated us a nuisance and annoyance, which I found to be particularly shocking since we were beyond pleasant to her making conversation etc. Alas, she was NOT having any of it. Absolutely horrid customer service skills. When we went back upstairs the entire place was jam packed leaving no room for dancing of any sort. Plus the table service extravaganza parades of flashing lights, girls on shoulders carrying illuminated grey goose was so over the top is was comical. Until that special moment when one of the male employees participating in this circus act pushed me out of the way. That's when I was done and we left. If you're going to put on that sort of show, it would make sense to limit the amount of patrons in order for your employees to maneuver through the crowd without putting their hands on people. read more

STAY FAR AWAY FROM HERE! If there was a negative STAR to choose, I would pick that. The only good thing about this bar is the aesthetics/decor. The music is too loud-you cant hear each other or have good conversation. But why bother trying to hear each other when you don't even want to be there for the food....We ordered steak fajitas which is supposed to come with rice, beans and sour cream. The steak came bleeding....and they served about 2 tablespoons of rice and 2 tablespoons of beans- in two tiny bowls (and i am not exaggerating) It looked like a kids meal actually. We also ordered steak and mushroom fajita, and it literally came with 2 slices of mushrooms (that is 2 slices, not 2 whole...). Our party also ordered shrimp tacos with flour tortillas but they brought corn tortillas, so when they took it back, that meal came out after the rest of us had finished eating. But...wait....I'm not done yet. We asked for drink and chip refills, and they did not bring that to us until the very end of the meal and by then we were done and didn't even eat the chip refills, which we were charged for. AND THEN....when we paid the check, the waiter brought back the receipt to sign but not our credit card. We had to wait for him to find it, as he said he had "lost" it..... Overall it was a horrible experience and we will NEVER go back. They must be going out of business - or can't pay their bills so they are rationing their food... read more
