Checked out scoops during a work trip, it's a cute shop off of the court house square, the staff is very friendly and they have a great assortment of flavors! I had a hard time choosing but ended up getting the key lime pie, savory and perfect for the crazy hot weather we have been having here in Indiana! Check them out if you are in the area! read more

Favorite place to order Brookie Ice Cream!! Their Mango Smoothies are very good as well! The service is quick and 1 scoop of ice cream is equivalent to 2 to 3 scoops! You definitely get your money's worth! read more

This is a cute little ice cream store right off of the circle in downtown , after we left Bridges taphouse and pizza we decided we wanted some ice cream and scoops was a perfect spot for less than $10 we both left super happy and the ice cream was delicious and homemade they were definitely not skimpy on the toppings I highly recommend if you're in the area! there's ample outdoor seating in front. read more

This small local ice cream shop is owned by the same family as Baldy's Pizza and is a south side treasure. Not a huge selection and no fancy concoctions just amazing fresh flavors that rotate often. Prices are very reasonable and the staff is always friendly. No inside seating but a picnic table outside. Most just carry out (even before Covid-19) and you're guaranteed a great tasting scoop every time. If they have it try Nana's Banana Puddin' it's amazing! read more

Before heading out of town, I found this ice cream shop just down the street from where I had dinner. Although it is small and may not have as many offerings as some of the other ice cream shops I've tried, I will say that the service was friendly and attentive while the ice cream was tasty and creamy. Located just southeast of the courthouse, the shop offers free samples to taste before making a selection. I tried an apple pie ice cream that was really good, but decided to go with the seasonal pumpkin ice cream instead. It was really good. I ordered a single scoop in a bowl for just over $3. The serving was about a 1/2 cup, so not too big, but enough to appease my craving. My only negative was that the plastic spoon was pretty flimsy, so if the ice cream had been any colder, I might have had trouble eating it. I managed but noticed the spoon resist a couple times before finishing. Scoops is a no-frills ice cream shop that offers a decent number of choices for visitors to choose from. Very nice place, it's a small treasure for sure, didn't even know it was there until I took a double take. Staff was very polite and welcoming, even when the inside was packed but that's the best impression and shows you the true character of an establishments employees. The inside was definitely thought out and has a nice welcoming decor and vibe. Now the food, I'll be honest I'm not a real big ice cream guy, now I love milkshakes, but just ice cream or sorbets? I have to be in a special mood for, however whenever I see a banana split it takes me back to some of my favorite childhood days, so I always have to try a banana split whenever I see one. And boy did they deliver! Wonderful presentation, you can tell that it's homemade ice cream, and you can truly even taste the care put behind it. Definitely going to make this a weekly stop come summertime! read more

How can you go wrong with ice cream? Well, it takes effort. But, you can make ice cream fun again! Put that on your campaign slogan! The choices at this local ice creamery were not over the top, but the flavors available were. My favorites were Graham Central Station, Lemon Oreo, A rich dark chocolate, and Hoosier Buckeye. That's right...I had four kinds of ice cream! They sell what is called a flight of ice cream, similar to a liquid flight which some might be familiar with. It is mini-scoops of four flavors that scratch that particular itch. Rumor has it the ice cream itself comes from a local favorite in Indy called Traders Point Creamery, another favorite of mine. Traders Point Creamery is part high-class restaurant, part ice cream shop, and part dairy farm. Check my review on that wonderful shop too! My S.O. And I go to Greencastle to celebrate a special moment and relieve one of our dates. Scoops has been part of that, and part of our journey. Adorable ice cream shoppe in downtown Greencastle. I enjoyed my ice cream flight- Butter Pecan, Key Lime Pie (you must try!!!), Sticky Chocolate, and Turkish Coffee (yummy!!). Loved the little Pizellle with it! My husband enjoyed the Banana Split with Almond Joy Ice Cream and we grabbed a couple pints to take home. We will be back!! read more

They don't carry any low sugar ice cream for us diabetics. Their original sign did say they had low sugar ice cream. What happened? Many of us fat-butt Greencastle folks have diabetes. Lol They do have many flavors with big serving at a good price. read more
