They have hand-dipped ice cream and soft serve along with all your usual dinner food like hotdogs, burgers, fries, etc. It's all reasonably priced. The hand dipped ice cream servings are hearty- the small looked like a M or L to me! They have limited seating inside and a handful of tables and booths outside. Terrible and expensive! Will not be back. I ordered a hamburger and my husband ordered a chili dog. We also ordered a kids meal. And drinks. They forgot the French fries for the kids meal. So fun! Everyone knows how much I love ice cream at any time of day. Literally even in the morning, if it's offered to me, I'll eat it. This afternoon, after a long day of school and zoom learning, my DePauw bf took me here because he's so nice and we got ice cream. I got a heath & Oreo flurry. I've tried their tenderloin sandwich and was not impressed. Bland and VERY dry. That was a couple of years ago. I don't think I stopped there last year. I tried to...but they weren't open. Hours of operation are random. I stopped in a couple times last year and they were closed. Even though the hours posted said they should have been open. Currently their Facebook page lists they are open ONLY on Monday's from 3:59pm-9pm. Google lists them as being closed on Mondays and open 10:30am - 9pm Tuesday - Sunday. Yelp lists them as closed 7 days a week. Another big negative is the excessive wait time in the drive thru. I've ordered ice cream (usually a shake) in the drive thru....but after waiting 15 minutes in line, I drove off. I try to support local businesses, but it's painfully obvious this business is broken and is in need of some major changes. I do understand the majority of its employees are high school kids. But the management/owners need to step up a bit. read more

Small, quaint locally owned and operated establishment that offers good ice cream, finger foods, and even some hot items as well. Decent burrito too. My favorite is the caramel and butterscotch malt! WOW! So good! The youthful feel of the place is nice, as the staff usually consists of high school aged kids. They have never gotten my order wrong and I have been here dozens of times. A huge disappointment. I was the only one going through the drive thru. The girl inside made me wait 5 minutes. Then I ordered a chilli cheese dog and root beer float. She had me wait a couple more minutes, then muttered my order. I pulled to the window and watched the crew goofing around. I waited at least 10 minutes before they gave me my dog and some fries. I asked about my float and why they gave me fries. Mental overload. They teenager at my window couldn't figure things out, so she called in a man and another teenager for a huddle. She started by saying "Well, you're going to have to pay an additional...." at which time I'd had enough. By this time nearly 15 minutes of my life had been wasted. She didn't apologize for screwing up my simple order, or for making me wait so long. They treated me as if I had driven my truck through their front doors. I demanded a refund and drove off, committed to never again return. I'm guessing this joke stays in business only because it has very little competition. read more

I had not eaten there in 30 years, we ordered food last night. Since COVID we have been ordering food and bringing it home. My boyfriend got two corn dogs, fries and a Sundae. I wanted a nacho polish coney and mini nachos. Concerned about his Sundae melting I put it in a cooler before the drive home. Everything all cost $21, too bad I didn't check our food bag. We loved this place. Until today. I got an itemized receipt because it seems that although I order the same thing for my kids all the time, it seem to pay different prices. This happened a lot last year as well... I figure 'teens behind the counter' kind of thing. Today I saw that this place actually charges .75 cents ... for sprinkles!! Very nice place with great prices, not very many vegetarian choices. They had a few different salads and a garden pita, I went for the garden pita thinking it would be different because I did not want a salad. It was pretty plain, just lettuce, tomato, and cucumber. Let me start by saying I use to absolutely love this place. It was always a family tradition to come down to dairy castle every Sunday! I hate to say things changed... Rob & Jane are very warm hearted people but I witnessed the least I would expect. They have this one employee , and she's very quiet and seems very young, possibly still in high school . She's always very sweet when she hands me what I ordered. But the managers treat her with absolute disrespect .. I'm talking screaming & yelling in FRONT OF THE CUSTOMERS!! she's a very quiet girl , and you can see the hurt in this poor girls face when she's being SCREAMED AT! Just Saturday I came in and this girl was getting a little annoyed when she was reading the "tickets" at the front . Everything was getting mixed up but she was also working very hard. But one of their managers( I'm assuming by the way she was bossing her)started screaming at her and when the girl tried to talk she TALKED OVER! That's when me and an older gentleman enjoying his ice cream traded disbelief looks. After I had gotten my food (to go) I had just left when I even heard other customers talking about how unprofessional it was!!! I just feel they should treat their employees better.
