Upon entering, I approached the main cashier (who had a tattoo on her arm). She appeared visibly annoyed, did not greet me, and did not speak to me during the interaction. When I attempted to be friendly and engage, she remained silent, took my order without acknowledgment, and provided what felt like very poor customer service. While waiting for our food, I noticed a group of young people looking in our direction and making comments that appeared to be directed toward my child, which made us uncomfortable. The dining area also appeared unclean, with noticeable debris on the floor that made it unpleasant to walk through. When our food was brought to the table, the server seemed irritated when we asked to confirm our order. She responded in a dismissive manner, rolled her eyes, and walked away in an unprofessional way. Our order itself was also disappointing. The Blizzards were melted and not prepared properly, appearing rushed and not made to Dairy Queen standards. I was hoping that it would be a nice pleasant evening with both of my children instead it became a hostile place to eat at and clearly we were not welcomed. As I reflect on the fact that we now have a new highway, there will be a lot of people who will be coming to this DQ who are from different nationalities. I hope that they don't have the same atrocious experience as I did at this DQ. It would be a major disappointment considering that this DQ is new and was recently built.

The dining room has three booths that will seat six comfortably or eight children if you happen to be part of a group. The parking lot seems smaller than most fast food establishments with parking for dine in customers on one side of the building only. I counted 17 spaces total plus two handicap. The rest are for employees (8), mobile orders (3), and drive- thru (2). I ordered the Classic Original Cheeseburger single patty with Onion Rings. The cheeseburger was okay. It had their charbroiled flavor making it tastier than regular fast food fare. The onion rings were better and pretty good for a fast food establishment. After my meal I went back to the counter and ordered a small Strawberry Sundae. Both times had quick service despite a lot of training going on. The ice cream was excellent, the strawberries were obviously previously frozen. I already knew that and prefer the strawberry juice. The restroom was clean. It has a vacant/occupied sign built into the door handle so you know without tugging on the handle. I wish they had sprung for motion flush instead of the manual. The restroom was stocked.

Kelley was fantastic, sharing her knowledge of sustainable beekeeping and the care that goes into producing pure, organic honey straight from the hive. The farm gift shop was stocked with incredible raw, unprocessed honey, honeycomb, and beeswax products--we left with plenty! We're so excited to come back this summer for the Honey House Tour, Beehive Tour, Forestry Tour, and Queen Special Tour! Getting to work a live beehive with a beekeeper and see the honey extraction process will be unforgettable. If you're looking for the best raw, organic honey in Indiana and a truly unique farm experience, Hunter's Honey Farm is a must-visit!

So many cool things about that experience... 1) I used a chainsaw for the first time and now I want to cut down all the trees! 2) We put something that wouldn't fit in our car in our relatively new truck bed... it was sooooo big! 3) While I was there, I bought several jars of their honey (again)! They have completely embraced the "hot honey" trend and are making some amazing honeys that are perfect for a nice "drizzle" on pizza, a Christmas ham or even as a sweetener in your green beans or spaghetti sauce! Their service is fantastic and you're even able to taste a few before buying! Go see them for gift baskets or to join their "honey (not jelly) of the month club" #iykyk

The vegan flavours are somewhat less interesting than the some of the dairy flavours, but still offers some variety: they always carry vegan vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, and grasshopper. You can also get any of the vegan flavours in your sundae/blizz/whatever, so this is actually a very good place if you can't or don't want to have dairy. Having tried all of the vegan flavours, I thought the chocolate was actually too cloyingly rich and sweet, but I really liked the others. The vegan ice cream is oat-based, which I prefer over the more common coconut. They also have a rotating selection of soup (with a few meat and a few vegetarian or vegan options available at any given time) in what I assume is a bid to stay relevant during the winter. The ice cream is still the main attraction for me at any time of year but the soup is worth getting if you want to make a meal of it, and it's nice to have something healthy to balance out the ice cream. I have tried the cream of asparagus and carrot ginger. The carrot ginger had shredded carrot in it instead of being a totally smooth puree, which I actually really liked. There is also some summery Americana food like hot dogs and mac and cheese, but I haven't tried any of that so I can't comment. The place has lots of seating inside and outside. It seems like they generally get very busy in the evenings but it's usually quieter during the day. The staff have been friendly in my experience. When I ordered a soup and sundae together, they offered to make the sundae and keep it in the fridge for me until I was ready to eat it, which was nice and thoughtful.
