Unfortunately, the haircut I received was not at all what I requested, despite showing reference photos. The cut was extremely choppy, with uneven layers throughout. It was the first haircut I've ever been truly unhappy with, and I am unable to even wear my hair down due to the unevenness and disconnect throughout the cut. I do want to recognize the salon owner for how they handled the situation. They were understanding, offered to have another stylist correct my haircut, and also refunded the cost of the service. I truly appreciate their professionalism and commitment to making things right. While I'm disappointed with the haircut I received from Ericka, I appreciate the owner's excellent customer service and willingness to stand behind their business. Although my first experience wasn't the one I had hoped for, I hope this feedback helps improve the experience for future clients.

This shop seems to work well based off reference photos and one of the first things I was asked was if I had a photo I wanted to work off of. Seemed like other customers had photos ready as well. The woman cutting my hair was very nice and knew a good amount of English! I asked her for her recommendation, but my hair was a bit too short to style into something new, so she was very accommodating and gave me a trim like I wanted and told me to come back in two months to reassess where my hair is at to look at my options! My basic haircut ended up being $35 + tip. I think it's a good deal considering they shampooed me mid-cut. I'll definitely be back in two months time to give it another go, but I've loved my experience so far!

She texted him personally to make a Saturday afternoon appointment for me and sent pictures of the wolf-cut I desired. I arrived on time for my 2pm appointment and was greeted by Thanh and seated immediately. I showed him the pictures again. Then he asked me if I wanted to shampoo my hair, which I agreed to. Then we got straight to work. At the end of my cut, he made sure I liked the result, to which I asked for my bangs a bit shorted and he readily obliged. I paid $45 (excluding an additional tip) in cash, but I didn't inquire further if they also accept card or if there's an additional fee for paying by card. I looked around the salon for a menu of costs of services, which he said there wasn't one. No problem, I plan on coming back for haircuts only anyway which I know are $45! Otherwise, I'll text him personally asking for other services if I want them! All in all, I was in and out the door at 2:00 and 2:30 respectively, literally (I looked at the clock). I was so happy with my haircut, especially for the price AND quick in/out time. Thank you Thanh for your amazing work!!!

It is not a salon where you walk in and it is simply fabulous! And I am referring to the look of it. But hey, my hair stylist in Atlanta salon was of somewhat equal standards when it came to this I did not go to Chevella- (in Atlanta)- whom I have gone to for 25 years -for the appearance of her salon. I went for her expertise in cutting, coloring, and styling. When I spoke to Kahndra over the phone to ask her questions prior to meeting her face-to-face, I told her I wanted my Farrah Faucet cut that I got most times with Chevella, and that I wanted it "poofy," Kahndra replied with confidence that this will be no problem. When I arrived -(next day after the phone call) -for my appointment-I was greeted with kindness as if I had been a client for years. I felt comfortable. LOL I felt so comfortable -as I sat under the hair dryer-I helped her fold towels as I sipped on some delish peach wine she poured me. Although, it took Kahndra a bit longer to cut my hair than Chevella, the cut was ....the cut IS extraordinary, just like Chevella. SMH. I never thought I would find a hairdresser who could cut like my beloved Chevella Hill in Atlanta. Especially, one in Chandler Arizonia! LOL My hair is extremely soft and the cut is exactly what I wanted! Soft hair is what everyone should want in dry a@# Arizonia! I noticed her clientele was of various races. I find that this shows her talent ...skills....her gift. From Caucasians to mixed race to Hispanics and more -I'm sure. Anyway, I am rambling. WHAT I GOT DONE. The stylist took the time to walk me through different loc sizes, giving thoughtful feedback to help me make the best choice for my hair and lifestyle. The communication was excellent--I felt informed and confident about my decision before we even started. When it came to the install, the parting was incredibly precise, and I could tell right away that attention to detail was a priority. The products used were high-quality, leaving my scalp squeaky clean and refreshed without feeling stripped or irritated. One of the things I appreciated most was the knowledge shared for aftercare. I left the appointment with clear instructions on how to maintain my locs for the first five weeks, which gave me confidence in caring for them properly. Now, after my first wash, my hair is still well-managed, neat, and looking great. The foundation set during my appointment has really made a difference--I can already see my loc journey starting strong. I highly recommend this salon to anyone looking to start their microlocs with a professional who values precision, healthy hair, and client education. The vibe in the shop is a lot of fun, so time flies!

I've been wanting to find a new place for my haircuts that are closer to me, and so I found Vale Boice! I booked my appointment yesterday afternoon, and was able to schedule for the following evening. The booking process was through text and was pretty easy. Aside from her work, I really liked her pricing: $45 for haircut (wash + style included). I arrived a few minutes early, and noticed it was a shared salon. I took a seat and waited for her to come out and greet me which was only a few minutes later. She was very welcoming and we got straight to what I was wanting: short hair. I have a very full face, so not only did we address a style that wouldn't hug my cheeks, but instead elongate it. The entire visit was delightful, from the cut, to wash, to style! I am very happy with how it came out. I highly recommend checking her out and scheduling an appointment with her!
