I went here for a post work happy hour and was so pleasantly surprised!…read more The big Nashville question first - parking! There is a lot behind the building dedicated to parking and will provide validated parking for 2 hours. We ended up staying more than 2 hours and the bartenders were so kind about getting another validation code so we could stay longer. Drink/food choices - I appreciated the fun Dry January cocktails! My drinking friends also enjoyed their cocktails. We got some snacks - the wings, the loaded fries - and all were great and fast. We were there on a weeknight but it was easy to find a table and will be even better when it is patio weather - will definitely be back!

Music fairly loud, but not overbearing. I love the general vibe of the place. I saw someone else talking about validation for 2 hours for parking, which is good. You can also find free parking a few blocks away in Germantown. Sat at the bar and the bartenders are very attentive. No issues with the service. I had the chicken sandwich, as it was highly recommended. And this is a huge sandwich for the price. Very succulent bird. Another positive is the fact they have ponies for $2 (at least they were when we went months ago). THey also do a decent espresso martini. I will definitely return at some point.

For my husband's birthday, we also got a free shot of espresso martini and a mini key lime pie! We really appreciated that. We will 100% be back for the food. 10/10.

TLDR: unimpressed…read more The interior is beautiful but there's very clearly one side of the restaurant which is prettier. The ambience is still nice, but we were seated so close to other tables it was a bit uncomfortable. The server was great (super sweet waitress) but the food was inconsistent. Even she seemed to be aware of this. Here's what we tried: Steak Tartare: 1/10 - Hated it. Worst steak tartare I've had. It tasted literally ONLY of capers and mustard. We couldn't even see the color of the meat. Even our waitress said it was so inconsistent and sometimes bad. Keep in mind they did comp this which was very nice of them. Whipped Ricotta: 9/10 - Okay this was AWESOME. The pita bread was soft, the ricotta was smooth and sweet, and all the toppings on it were just perfect pairings. Chefs kiss. White Bolognese: 5/10 - Pretty mid/bland. Just kind of tasted like pasta with Alfredo sauce and some meat. Eh. Truffle Fries: 5/10 - Standard fries. There is parmesan and truffle at the top but none on any of the middle or bottom fries, so you don't really want to keep eating them. Brussels: 8/10 - Lovely fry on these. They tasted very rich, but could've had more depth to them in my opinion. More crunch perhaps, or even a zingier sauce. Beef tenderloin: 7/10 - I mean it was good beef, but nothing special. The steak just kind of tasted like an average cut of beef. The au jus was good, though, along with the mashed potatoes. Chocolate cherry cake : 4/10 - They offered this to us for free for our anniversary, but I didn't love it. The chocolate flavor was super mild, and the cherry was kind of sickeningly artificial. Not for me. See what I mean now, by inconsistent?

There's plenty of (paid) parking options available nearby. We put our name on the list and waited around 20 minutes for a table to open up ... I was surprised they were on a wait on a weeknight, but I suppose this is one of the only spots in the area that's open later with a decent food menu. Service was quick once we were seated! My husband and I both ordered the Classic Jack, along with some Jacked Up Fries. The burger was great! Cooked exactly to my liking, and I love the JB sauce. However, it was the fries that stood out most for me ... I love loaded fries, and these are topped with bacon, cheese sauce, onions, jalapenos, and even more JB sauce. Despite the no-frills menu, Jack Brown's is on the pricier side. For two burgers, one order of loaded fries, two cans of beer, and a tip, it was more than $60. It's true that this is on the cheaper side for Germantown - but just be prepared that the greasy spoon vibes don't carry over to the check. Even still, you get what you pay for, and these burgers definitely hit the mark!
