Mishra and Mishra is a Neurologist office which moved to Elm Street in McLean. My doctor was Navid Mostofi. I went to their office to determine why my right hand was numb as I thought it was carpal tunnel. It turns out that I probably have MS. You would think that at a neurologist office they would keep everything stress-free but Wendy is a ball of angriness that needs to be reigned in. My first negative encounter with her was when I had muscle/nerve spasms due to steroid withdrawal that they had me on. I called the advice nurse who scheduled me in the same day. I guess the advice nurse failed to call my doctor to tell him I was coming because when I walked in the office, Wendy started yelling at me that I did not have an appointment today and why I was in the office. When I told her the lady fit me in due to my severe back pain at 3:15, she said that the lady wasn't allowed to do that. I dismissed her attitude towards me because I was in too much pain. she then tried ti diagnose my problem as she was taking my vitals (mind you she is a medical asst./receptionist) and said I probably had a urinary tract infection!!!! WTF!!! I did get to see my doctor who correctly diagnosed me as having back spasms. My most recent experience is still ongoing as I had an appointment scheduled for this past Tuesday at 10 am. Wendy called me at Monday night at 7:30pm to cancel my appointment for the next day by leaving me a message. I did not get the message as I was knocking on the door Tuesday morning with no one at the office. I called the answering service who confirmed there was an appointment and they didnt even know why the office was closed. They called the sister office and the doctor directly and received no answer. I left a message with the answering service that I would be there today at 10 am. I called the doctor office today as I was driving to my new appointment and spoke to WENDYYYYYYYYYY. When I told her my name and that my appoinemnt was cancelled without proper notification she told me that she called me and that my doctor,Mostofi, no longer worked there . . . on the day I am to find out if I have MS, he quits and no one bothers to tell me?????? It has been a month of tests, taps, outpatient procedures and the day I am to find out what is wrong me she gives me attitude because she decided to call me at 7:30 the night before I am to arrive.? Of course I am pissed and per her was yelling at her. She then lied and said that that original message she left me told me that Mostofi no longer worked there which was not true. When I told her that this is the 2nd time that I had to deal with her attitude and reminded her of the time she trued to diagnose me, she hung up on me. So I called back to let her know that someone was going to see me today and that I would be there at 10 am . . . her response was that she was going to have me escorted from the building then she said she was going to call the police then when I told her that I would sure her if she laid a hand on me she hung up. So I called back. . . .by this time I think Dr. Mishra heard her yelling at me on the phone so he agreed to see me today. When she answered the first thing she said was Dr. Mishra will give you your results. I said thank you and hung up. Ten minutes later Dr. Mishra called me from his personal cell phone and explained that he could help me and would be able to give me my results. He asked how Wendy was rude and specifically asked was it her tone as if she has been reprimanded about her tone before and I explained the entire conversation to him. I will see him tomorrow and get my results but cannot trust an office that would hire someone so unprofessional as WENDY!!!!!! She is a liability to his office and practice.

No complaints---EVER---and he's been needed often. I must definitely add that his wonderful nurse, Wendy, has also been nothing but kind, warm-hearted, and shows great care. Her cheerfulness makes office visits relaxing and reassuring. She is knowledgeable in her field and wants nothing but the best for you.What a great person she is!! My sister once went into her office with a potential lyme disease bite. (She had the bullseye bite…read moremark.) This doctor basically said there was nothing to do and just ignore it. Of course we got a second doctor's opinion who said that in cases such as these the patient must be treated as if they were positive for lyme disease. Thank god we went and saw someone else! Dr. Brynelson is very touch and go. She works primarily with children and is very friendly to them. Unfortunately, every other aspect of her office is not as enjoyable. Just two days ago I went in for a three o'clock appointment and wasn't seen until four thirty. (this is a common wait for her office) Within that hour and a half wait there were only two other patients, one ahead of me and one behind. I was only seen for a total of 5 minutes during which I found she had incorrect records on file for me! (she put that I had a dislocated knee cap a couple of years ago when it was actually BROKEN). Also, every question I arose with her she responded with referrals to other doctors. (I went in for a cold, questions about my thyroid and knee pain - she took a throat swab and my temperature.) As a person she seems very kind so I was very hesitant to review her, but at this point I am so disappointed that I had to write this.

Our experience bore out this accolade. The care we received in her office was exceptional. She has a very pleasant bedside manner and is very supportive of parents and little ones. She answered all of my questions with respect, as if I am indeed an intelligent adult. Nurse encouraged me to hold and even nurse baby during injections to provide immediate comfort -- no pinning the babe or tot on the examining table. Generally thoughtful, kind service. We had no special needs. Just the "usual" list of occasional issues: fevers, ear infections, etc.

We immediately replied with all the requested information, and since then we have not heard a thing from them. It has been more than a week now and we have followed up three times in email, and we still heard nothing back! No one in their intake department cares to even give a quick reply or anything. When we lived in San Francisco, my son had no words at 24 months and I tried multiple therapists before settling down with a really amazing one (Jodi at Spencer & Kong). Unfortunately we had to move only 6 months into his therapy, and luckily I found Jullian Luks at National Speech. Jillian has the best upbeat and happy energy, funny with good sense of humor, nurturing and sweet, and always professional. She is amazing at what she does, even with my shy and reticent son. The other therapists there also appear to be very good, and all the parents I've spoken to in the waiting room are very pleased with their experience there. My son now no longer needs therapy, and everyone is surprised when they find that he needed it. As for the negative review about the front desk, it's true, the young man at the front desk is not proactive about greeting anyone, but he is also a little awkward and soft spoken - not rude or snobby. The waiting room and front desk is also pretty busy - lots of families and therapists coming in and out. And everyone is different, but for me, I don't care if the front desk admin didn't greet me or look me in the eye - it's all about the quality of therapy that my kid is getting, and at National Speech, it was the best.

Brought my daughter in at the scheduled time just to be asked to leave because they couldn't see her since she hasn't had a wellness check this year. Why wasn't this mentioned when I made the appointment? Why not call to explain/cancel rather than have me wait all day to tell me? Additionally, how about a courtesy call or email about that wellness check?My daughter had an infection. I could have gotten this resolved earlier in the day than have her wait. We see these doctors to treat the little people we love the most. This type of care is unacceptable.

Every appointment has been wonderful, he listens and remembers details of our last visits. When my son has come down with an illness he has trust a mother's instinct that something isn't right and has had us come in rather than "try this first". His attention to his patients and the care he gives is the reason why even after moving to Bristow from the Broadlands I will be continuing to keep my son with Dr. Gupta. He is worth the drive.

I want to say, off the top, that I have never actually met this pediatrician. She might be a…read moreperfectly lovely woman and a great doctor. HOWEVER....we are new to the area and had to choose a pediatrician when we enrolled in our new insurance and we just chose her as she has an office close to our home. I called to get records set up and make a first appointment and received the 'welcome packet' and record release form and that is where my problem began. My son (currently 20 mo) has been on the Dr. Sears schedule for vaccines - basically he gets the shots on time, just spread out instead of a ton of shots at once, as there is a history of medicine allergies in my family so I wanted to be cautious. HOWEVER, this doctor has a policy where she will accept no 'alternative' schedules and her 'intro' letter stated that if we were planning on an alternative schedule we should find another doctor. I called the office, of course, to talk to them, thinking maybe, since he was almost caught up and would be caught up within the year, that that would be ok. IT was not. I was told that the doctor would either give all shots to get him completely up to date or she would refuse to see him. Now, I understand that there is some argument to 'alternative' vaccine schedules and this doctor is not completely out of line. My biggest concern is the "all or nothing" approach - I want a pediatrician who is willing to work with me on my child's health and not judge my parental choices. That is why I am posting this. In case there are other parents who, like me, want do be able to discuss these things and not be shut down completely before we are even in the door. Again, she might be a great pediatrician, but I wish I had known all of this before, so that I didn't have to go thru the hassle of finding a new PCP for my son.

Care Quality Office Experience…read moreDr. Panahy had been my primary care physician for most of the 28 years I've been with Kaiser Permanente. I found her care to be excellent. She always spoke to me at length regarding my health and was always on top of whatever test, labs or Rx's I needed. Dr. Panahy was an excellent physician - caring, cooperative, informative and spent time with you despite the requisite 20 mins. that was usually mandated for appointments. Dr. Panahy has been my primary care doctor since 2004. Her practice has grown a lot since then -…read morelast I heard, she's no longer accepting new patients. I usually have to schedule my physicals a month or two in advance, and if I'm sick and need to get seen that day, I almost always have to settle for someone else in the practice. I usually don't have to wait long to be seen, and the practice seems to run fairly efficiently, aside from a recent frustration in getting a prescription refill. I find my annual checkups very helpful. Maybe it's just that I'm not trying to swaddle myself in a paper jacket and wrap - they usually give me a cloth gown. The office seems to schedule at least 30 minutes for annual checkups. Dr. Panahy is thorough, easy to talk to, and never seems rushed. She takes time to explain things, is well-informed, and is gentle during exams. She's been flexible with writing referrals, prescriptions for nonessential stuff like allergy meds and daily vitamins, and refilling prescriptions from specialists. The followup is fairly standard. If my labwork is normal, I get a letter in two weeks or so telling me the results. Dr. Panahy does call to discuss abnormalities. I haven't seen Dr. Panahy for any acute conditions, so I don't have a good feel for how she does with diagnosis. The other physicians in the office are okay.
