Well, OMG, I finally found an Internal Medicine doctor in Virginia that I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! Dr. Roma Sowah is part of the INOVA Internal Medicine medical group - their office is located off of Elm St in McLean, and parking is a breeze as there are plenty of street parking available. The office is located on the 7th floor, and the clinic itself is bright, clean, and cheery, with ample amount of hand sanitizers on each table :D There is also a mini fridge with little Geyser water bottles for you to hydrate yourself on. The receptionist was friendly, and filling out the paperwork was a breeze. Dr. Sowah actually came out to introduce herself and the whole exam was wonderful (considering it's a medical appointment!) - Dr. Sowah was very nice, informative, took her time in answering and asking very thorough questions, did not rush, never made me feel ashamed for asking all my crazy number of questions, very organized, and very intelligent! She has awesome bedside manner, is gentle, and very detail-oriented. Another nurse came to check up on the vitals, and there was a nice phlebotomist (from Quest Diagnostics) on-site for all your bloodwork, so I thought that was very convenient! I've had blood drawn by this particular tech in the past so I know this person is capable of doing it professionally. I've also had blood drawn about a dozen times in the past 3 years by 8 or 9 different lab techs, and I have not once had an issue. I will never return to this lab and I encourage people to stay away. The bad: The office staff are good, but the overall environment is poor (long waits). The good: my doctor is really good and I will return to see her.

Because you totally ignored this conversation, I'm paying dearly for your lack of regards. My keloids are so bad my internal PT has been working to try to reduce the scaring along with the Pain. Also I was rushed to my PC then to Penn Medical to find out I as well had to deal with painful hematoma's. You as well was informed I wanted Cassie to set my stimulator controls, only to find out the day before, she was let go. Thus the reason for having the trial removed with now NO thoughts of permanently having it placed inside of me. You caused a total mess on my back. The office was clean and comfortable to wait in. The woman at the front desk has a sweet soft voice and was a pleasure to check in with. They also have a phlebotomist on-site that can complete your bloodwork before or after the physical. How convenient to have a one-stop shop primary care practice. Dr. Meera Ramakrishnan is hands down the best PCP I have ever been to. Her ZocDoc ratings praised her bedside manner, and that is truly where she shines. As a first time patient she took time to get to know me and made me feel within 5 minutes of the appointment that I was hanging out with my best friend. She is so genuine in wanting her patient to feel comfortable and ensure they have the best care possible. What makes Dr Ramakrishnan unique is her 12 years experience as a night doctor where the setting was more casual and the quality of care required was high. She has a personality that will lift your spirits at 8am, and she has seen people at their worst and wants to ensure everyone leaves her office well informed and on the path towards better health. Finally Dr Ramakrishnan is vegetarian and she was completely fine with my choice to be vegan. We talked about how to eat healthy as a vegan and I appreciate she did not judge my lifestyle choice. I am sad I only need to see my PCP once a year. I almost want to get sick so I have an excuse to hang out with the coolest doctor in MoCo again. I hate these people. They jerk me around all the time and I've moved on…read more This week is a good example. After struggling to get past their automated phone system to a real person, I asked them to verify something was covered. They told me to do it myself, so I called the insurance carrier only to be told I needed a procedure code, so I had to call these idiots back. They said they'd ask the doctor and get back to me (they NEVER get back to me). I called the next day and finally got it, called insurance to confirm its covered, and then had to call these idiots a third time, scheduling an appointment for a referral. This was virtual and went fine. But the doctor told me the referral would be in their patient portal. A day later I had to call to find out where it is (no sign of it). They said they never put them in there and to call the other doctor's office. I pointed out that, without the referral, I had no idea who that was, so they reluctantly gave me the info. The other doctor's office had no referral for me. I called these idiots a fourth time only to be told they won't give me the referral unless I come in in-person to get it. Forget it. I'd rather die from my condition than do anymore with these jerks. The people on the phone sound so indifferent, and trust me, it shows. This is not the first time with them. I was at another appointment only to have THAT doctor's office tell me they never received the referral from these idiots. Neither me or them could reach these idiots to get it and I had to leave the appointment without being seen.

Finally got an answer at 9:30am on Friday and was told I could come in but the doctors wouldn't arrive until 12:30pm and would be leaving early. Suffice it to say, I am changing primary care physicians. The Mathur doctors are nice but too inconsistent and I had to wait for an hour both times I saw them although I had appointments.
