    Mini Tenderloin

When the waitress asked for how many buns I wanted for my King Tenderloin, I should have known what was in for. It was absolutely delicious. Our waitress was amazing. My brother and I walked in 30 minutes before closing and she was in the weeds but she persevered with an incredible attitude and energy.

11/17/24 We brought our son here for his bday dinner. He got the fish sandwich & fries, Stephanie got the Cheeseburger & onion rings, I had been looking forward to the King Tenderloin. The fish sandwich was very good as was the cheeseburger, my tenderloin a 3 out of 5 it was ok, over cooked had to cut it with a knife. Breading could probably be a fish batter. The atmosphere and service 10 out of 10. We will certainly return. I would just order something else, I was so looking forward to a good tenderloin.

    Awesome Sunday Fried Chicken

The fried chicken was excellent; based on the amount of patrons, so is everything else. Portions were large and reasonable priced!

I'd give this 3.5 stars if I could, but I'm rounding up to four based on the politeness of the wait staff. Sitting behind us was, what we heard to be a very difficult customer with endless complaining, but the waitress and rest of staff were very kind and always handled the situation with class. Now, onto the food. I'm originally from Buffalo, NY, living in IL now, so I have a deep rooted passion for wings! The good is - the bbq sauce was good AND they served blue cheese as a side (my little WNY heart was happy). Other than that, I didnt think the wings were anything special. I think these could be very very good if they were charred a little on the grill after being sauced! This was my personal first time trying a tenderloin and it was something else for sure! It really is an experience anyone visiting the midwest should have. The tenderloin was a little too crispy and maybe a little too much batter but the taste was phenomenal. Our leftovers will make a great midnight snack! All in all, I would go again, eventually.

The wings were amazing! Perfectly cooked and sauced just right! Beer was cold and the crown hit the spot. Definitely Doyz approved. 10/10 recommendation. The bartender Elyse was attentive and joyful.

    The Geddy

Our waitstaff was lacking even moderate attention I understand that not all time issues in a restaurant fall upon the server but she should will keep her customers aware of the kitchen debacles (if there were such). A burger (the Geddy) and a Ham & Cheese sandwich ...even with onion rings (very good) should not take 40+ minutes from order. Before getting to the table - without anything from the service staff explaining what's up. So summary. Food tasty.

Disappointing. Onion rings were a huge plate of grease. Tenderloin sandwich was more like a large frozen chuck wagon patty.

The. Wings. Best wings in B/N, hands down. Do yourself a favor and order two pounds. One pound will definitely leave you wanting more.

We decided to go with the rustic pizzas that were delicious and unusual: harmony, Korean, chicken and loaded supreme. The crust tasted like it was from a woodfired oven and the Korean chicken pizza was so unusual and tasty with kimchi and pickled shiitake. The fresh from the forest mushroom side dish they gave us a special treat to us was quite a delicacy. Even the farm to table items they have for sale when you walk in to take home are a treat, Especially the homemade marshmallows! Ended with dessert of a fresh orange olive oil cake with just tremendous flavor and blood orange on the side and orange marmalade on the cake. It served exquisitely with a side of homemade ice cream that was to die for. We can't wait to come back! Our waitress, Lupe, treated us like family and was incredibly personal and warm. Put this on your must visit List.

We started with the sashimi plate. The fish was fresh- including tuna, salmon, shrimp- placed over small celery bites. A variety of sauces were dotted around the plate's edge. The dish would have benefited from some ginger and more sauce. Our entrees included Pork Coppa Ramen- which was a solid dish- strong beef broth flavor and the sambal (chili sauce) -a few cents extra- added a good depth of flavor. The fish bowl- tuna, salmon- with rice, pickled veggies, and gim (Korean seaweed) was tasty. It was even tasty the next day cold out of the fridge. Our server Jack did a nice job- we sampled their roasted carrots- and they were actually our favorite bite. We also had the potato graten and they were tasty- but could have been easily skipped with our Asian dinner vibe. The restaurant has a great eclectic historical vibe and was busy on a Friday night, but still felt spacious. The drink menu is a good selection- we enjoyed wine with dinner (a solid Pinot noir). I would definitely go back to have the pizza- which looked delicious at a couple of the neighboring tables. This is a great date night venue or girls night out.

We're pretty familiar with what they used to, and are trying, to be and while we have come to expect lofty goals, it seems like the longer in the tooth this place gets, the more they lose focus. Our most recent Valentines visit reinforced this with some disappointing bar service and a 'special featured' appetizer that took our disappointment to the next level. I get that on a busy night like Valentines, stuff happens, but in this case it was still relatively early (5:30 pm) and they had more than enough employees, it's just that those workers constantly stepped on each other, ignored customers for lengthy stretches, and missed a few details that used to come naturally at this place. Combine that with food delivery confusion and a complete fail on the supposed special feature of "sealed scallops with risotto" app and it left us feeling unfulfilled on what should have been a romantic visit. The next time they offer the scallop app, we strongly suggest they actually do more than wave one side of the scallop over a lukewarm-warm pan (nothing that resembles a 'sear') and figure a way to cut the greasiness of the garlic rice dollops without covering everything in pea tendrils such that you don't notice the lack of sear marks and oily pooling. We give the place three stars based on the still modern and comfortable decor, nice ambiance, robust cocktail & beer selection and the execution of the Tuna Tartare - still one of the lady's favorite bites in town. Perhaps it's just a management/training issue, but it touches both the kitchen and the floor and will hopefully be addressed before our next visit.
