The bulbs kept burning out and sparkles came out of the recess light shell. I called the owner of the company, Tom Iaione, several time to come back to rectify the problems. He did not even bother to return any of my calls. I showed the Iaione light installation to another contractor. My contractor informed me that the entire installation is against the Electrical Code and it might create a severe fire hazards. These people do not even know the basic facts and knowledge about electric installation. I cannot figure out how they obtained the sate licence. I have filed formal complaints against them with Better Business Bureau and Board of Examiners of Electrical Contractors. But, Iaione has failed to provide responses. Iaione is not qualified to be a licensed electrician. Please join me and file your complaints against Iaione with the same agencies. May be the board suspends their license for not doing any other shoddy jobs. THEY ALL HORRIBLE. AVOID THEM AT ANY COST. I

When he returned to do the repair, he brought a young man with him who was so very polite and respectful I now have a new electrician. They came, they were as neat as possible, tarps and they took their shoes off before the stepped in my house, that is respectful. Alicia asked us to send photos and I did with a comment" didn't realize how bad it was". Her response was "I've seen worse" so right off the bat she made me feel better. She asked if we wanted her to send someone to give us a quote, but we didn't want to waste time on that so said no. She quoted us how much it would be per hour (+ materials) and we were very happy with the final price (we felt very reasonable). The 2 electricians were here at 8:30 on a day when it was below 20 degrees!! They did a great job and were in/out in a little over an hour. He said the job would take 5 hours and he would have to break the wall in my dining room to run the line which would cost $1350 plus an initial $175 consultation fee and said 1/2 the funds were due upfront so I paid him $700. Upon consultation, he noted there was an electrical box already sitting 2ft from the outlet and said if I can run a line from this box to the outlet I will only charge $175 consultation fee since there's not much work involved. He returned with a worker and was able to connect to the box next to the outlet, it took him a little over an hour to TRACE the line from the basement to the box, without have to break walls and run a hard line from the basement. He then charged me $905 and ended up requesting an I became upset. This is not what he promise. I asked him for a breakdown of what he's charging for, he said he charges for a minimum of 2.5 hours plus he needed an extra man (which he also charged for) for the job so the work was shared and both of them had to be paid and he's charging for materials?!?? There were no materials involved except that he relaxed the sockets. I did not pay him the extra $205 because to run a simple electrical line from a nearby box to an outlet does not cost $700! DO NOT pay the contractors any monies upfront. If they are legit and have a business, they should have the funds to cover the job and collect after the work is finished.

First of all, the price was reasonable and I was happy with the quality of the install. Most people are not too price sensitive given many utilities rebate the cost of the install, but even then Russell's quote came in under the rebate cap, whereas a quote from a competitor was over the cap (so I would've been a few hundred dollars out of pocket if I went that route). Also Russell does appy for the permit for you, which is nice. He also provides a thorough email about the available rebates, and how to qualify.

He noticed immediately that the input gas lever was half closed ( my fault). He opened the gas lever, and started the generator. He turned it off and said that was the problem. He was here all of 10 minutes. I then got a bill for $220.00, really $ 187.66, because of my service contract. To summarize, I would have gladly paid a reasonable amount, but having paid close to $ 5000. for the service contract. It seems to me that Bold was foolish to let me cancel the maintenance plan, rather than charging a more reasonable amount for the service call. It is really a shame, because it is a great company but has too rigid billing practices.

Based on the good reviews, we decided to trust them... and our problems started. They replaced the generator with a brand new Kohler one, after one month, we got an outage... and the generator did not start. We called them and they showed up 2 days later. After that, we discovered that the only benefit you have with their maintenance "monthly service" is that they will "prioritize" you in case of an outage, but they still charge you a lot of money for the service. That was strike one. In another outage, the generator started, but the power went up and down, not constant... we had to call them again (after 2 months); they "fixed it" but in the next power test the generator did the same. Called them again and they fixed it once again (this is a new generator, installed by them). Strike two. Next power outage, generator did not turned on, they came by and it was determined the switch was damaged... they had to replace it, they charged us 700 (Again, this was a new generator, supposedly a whole new system was installed). Strike three and out; we cancelled our maintenance plan agreement and guess what? Now the switch is malfunctioning, and it is not allowing power from anywhere but the generator... this was replaced less than a year ago and they want to charge us 800 just to come and check. Please be careful with this company, I have not seen this dishonesty ever.
