If I could rate this store and most of the chain a zero, I would. It is obvious that the executive level of these stores has no clue about what their customers want or expect based upon the competition. And seriously, how hard is it to get a webpage that works? I tried IE and Firefox and neither worked...Seriously that is 5th grade level work to do that simple of a website. Are you smarter than a 5th Grader? Well in this case the answer would have to be NO. Schnucks made an executive choice to stop carrying name brands in most of the items we buy on a regular basis and have substituted lower quality ESSENTIAL or their own branded products. If I wanted generic canned or glass bottle goods, I would get them at Aldi and not pay your inflated prices. At least at Aldi I have never run across a snarky or surly employee no matter how they were slammed...cannot say that about most Schnucks stores even when they are dead empty. Y'all need to get out of your offices and either secret shopper your stores after 6pm, or get someone(s) else to do it that will give you honest feedback and not the normal "so & so is coming so we have to fix things nonsense that usually goes on when an E level shows their face at the store". There are so many opportunities for improvement that cost zero it is not funny. If I want my chips, cookies and breads crunched and squashed, I would 100% let your baggers bag my purchases. It sucks that I have to find some older person with 20 years experience on bagging to get things home the way I pulled them off the shelves. Instead I go through your self check out (which is a better financial deal for you) BUT I can only use your handheld on large items I do not want to bag...so it slows me down to the crawl of your normal checkers. THAT is a simple line or two of computer code to fix that. Walmart has it fixed as does Sam's and Costco. Again look at competitors, you will likely see me there buying brand name stuff I want. I am not going to bash you on supply chain issues (even though you did shrink your own warehousing in town years ago so they now have you over a barrel) so I did want to give you some kudos that I saw very little that was completely out of stock and needing your signs to explain the gaping openness of the shelves. And your booze section looks epic, but I have Friar Tucks and others in town who have lower prices and better selection so that is a neutral. Areas for improvement: 1-More name brands and get that generic stuff outta there. People needing to save money, know better than to shop at your stores already. 2-Fix your stupid self checkout hand held scanners so I can scan items and bag them. 3-I am positive you already stress this but again secret shopper your baggers and give them incentive to do their job right so I do not have to do it myself, or I will do it myself and they will eventually be underemployed . Kids are motivated by prizes, games, and money that ANY of them can win, not just the full time people. 4-Quit trying to be Straubs. You are not them nor a boutique store. IF you cannot find enough different products to fill the shelves, i am sure there are consultants out there that can help you...or you could make the aisles wider. 5-Have stockers come in and stock the reefer and breads areas after 5pm. Product in your back room is unable to sell. Customer service snottily informed me to read the instruction sign to move bags to a shelf when you have more than 2 in self check-out. Now we 70 year olds don't know how to buy groceries any more. This is a great Schnucks! Super new, clean, and organized. They had everything on my list on my recent shopping trip. Sometimes Schnucks gets overshadowed by some of the fancier stores but this one is great. I'd happily return! read more

I went out of my way to redownload this app just for the review of this manager The woman is middle-aged, dark hair, average height, and a See You Next Tuesday.. Seriously. I was SCREAMED at and embarassed in front of other customers when my instacart card declined. Then, I was asked to just leave the store with no explanation?? (It took everything in me not to hit this very rude woman.. a little customer decency would be nice.) When I returned to the store, after being on customer support with instacart for an hour, the manager was RUDE, and IGNORED me for 20 minutes while I waited for her to check me out. I patiently waited (WITHOUT SAYING A WORD) and then she said to me "I see you waiting okay, give me a minute" with the MOST attitude I have ever heard. Seriously not going to this grocery store ever again because if I do someone will need to escort me out.. I do need to mention that I left the store sobbing, tears streaming down my face because no one in the store would assist me and made me feel very unwelcome. I came home crying that day and my mom asked who was rude to me. I told her it was that manager. AND EVEN BETTER, she had just gone off on my mom the week before because the schnucks pick-up app on her phone messed up and said she was there, when she was actually across the street at CVS. When my mom arrived to get her groceries the manager rudely said she "had to put them away because you never showed up" it had been 10 minutes. Stupid b!t€h. AND SHE WAS RUDE TO MY MOM. I cant get over that. No one is rude to my mom. EVER. So anyway.. pull up to schnucks highway k if you wanna see me and this manager brawl it out.. havent scheduled a date or time yet, will update. I get the need to close the one set of doors for safety purposes. But have some carts on the other side. Or i will continue to push my cart to the further at end of the lot. Don't make your customers walk through the store to get a cart to stay on the other side of the store. read more

As with most Schnucks, customer service leaves much to be desired. Friendliest stores in town? Now THAT is a laugh! Had an issue with a digital coupon. It didn't ring up from the app. When I questioned it, I was told it's because the razor "wasn't disposable." Never mind the fact that the product I was attempting to purchase was the EXACT product pictured on the coupon. You'd think the clueless Schnucks employee would've at least attempted a plausible lie. I wound up getting a refund; but I still feel like it was the principle. I wasn't happy and felt they were being dishonest. I should also add that I wound up purchasing the EXACT same product from a competitor....and the MANUFACTURERS digital coupon worked just fine there! I walked in to Schnucks at Hwy N/K, saw all the "Unity is Power" t-shirts, turned around and went across the street to Dierberg's. After weeks of this stuff, BLM, etc., I suspect a lot of consumers are tired of other people's politics pushed in their face on a daily basis. Sports teams and some corporations are starting to become aware that "Woke is Broke"...hope Schnucks becomes enlightened soon. read more

I do have to agree with the person who said the layout of this store is very odd. It is. It is different than any other Schnucks I have ever been in. And since I have also been in Schnucks outside the St. Louis area, that says a lot. I will say though, this store has the best bakery. The decorator is AMAZING, she does a fabulous job and they better hold on to her. I pass the Jungermann Rd store and Cottleville store just to come here for the bakery. The Cottleville store had a good bakery team and they blew it and now that store can't get their act together, selling old product, etc. Definitely will keep using this bakery as long as this decorator stays. read more

I have repeatedly had the worst experience with this Schnucks. They consistently cancel or push back orders at the very last minute. One time they canceled my pick up order, still charged me. When I called them to clear it up, they were not interested in helping and just placed the ownership of the refund on Instacart. This last time, they pushed back my order repeatedly. On the 3rd day, I called to see what was going on and to find if this order would eventually be filled. Could never get ahold of anyone at the store over the phone, system rerouted me to Instacart and they upgraded the order to delivery same day and satisfied my order by using a different location. This Schnucks not only is unreliable but the attitudes of staff are disheartening. If I can help it, I plan to only order from every other Schnucks at this time. read more

I have been a regular here since the day they opened and unfortunately it doesn't feel like it. I've seen the same employees there for years and still today No one says hello like they recognize me. This takes away from the family friendly store. When Glen (store manager) was there the team seemed happier and motivated. I'm not saying they are bad they just have lost something. I hate that they do stocking during the day, they always seem to be in the way and always on big shopping days. This to me is a major inconvenience and makes me want to shop somewhere else which I have started to make this transition. Schnucks is definitely my favorite grocery store in the O'Fallon area- unlike Dierberg's, they actually take American Express. Selection is good, prices are reasonable, and I've never had to wait in line. (Though I do tend to shop later in the evenings) There's also a US Bank branch in the store which is convenient since I bank there......... read more

I want to like Schnuck's, but this visit put me off for good. Went late on a Sunday, so I knew the selection would be picked over on most items. I expected it. But to have whole sections of the cases(especially items on sale) empty was unacceptable. Unlike a previous poster, on a weekend day I expect to have people restocking and often. Unfortunately this store is small, and it does make it difficult to move around. Couldn't find half the specials they said were on sale. The fish guy was sweeping and didn't even notice I was looking. Had a cart half full when I couldn't find the soda I wanted, which was enough. Felt bad for the checker that got the "Got tired of not being able to find what I needed so you guys get to put this stuff back" speech, but maybe the store should do a better job of making sure things are better. (But I do apologize to the checker for the wrath--had I had time, I would have dealt it to the manager.) I have shopped various Schnuck's around the area, but this one always seems a little dingy to me. It's small and cramped and oddly laid out. Since Schnuck's seems more focused on expanding that being attentive to the stores it has, I have little hope that will improve. I'm sure they are glad I will never visit again. So am I. read more

I really do love Schnucks. This location has Boar's head, and I don't know if they all do or not? But I know this one does and I love Boar's head buffalo chicken. So spicy but so tasty. I think they typically have a lot of better deals here, but I really just love Dierbergs. It's just a preference. However, they do have great service as well. They don't have as large of a selection of specialty gluten-free items as Dierbergs but their selection is fairly large. I will say their Italian premade sandwiches in the deli are great, but I love all the things Dierbergs has in their deli a little more. read more

This is my favorite Schnucks in the O'Fallon area. I go here with my family all the time, and after every visit my kiddos are always so excited after interacting with staff members. We love all the baggers and their kindness and they really make the experience great. The kiddos especially the baggers Kenzie and Brian. We have come in counter with some rude checkers, and managers but the baggers make up for it!! read more

If your going to order hot food from the deli don't bother. We went to pick up a bag of chicken and not only did it take forever apparently it had been in the case for four hours. Then you are not allowed 1/2 sides displayed like baked beans. You may only have the congealed potatoes or corn/ green beans from a can. Also sitting out for hours. When offered a choice of rolls or biscuits we were told oops they were out of biscuits. Next I'll choose Dierburgs across the street. read more
