I pretty much live here. I come here so often I can make my grocery list by aisle. Cashiers seem so recognize me, sometimes that's good and sometimes that shames me. I know some people say Shop n Save has better deals but for everyday prices Schnucks always wins and on a comparison trip I could have saved 34 cents at Shop n Save but I hate their stupid parking lot and the customers annoy me more over there. Plus Schnucks bags my groceries so I feel pampered and spoiled. In the last few months I've been a little disappointed by the inventory. It seems like they're always out of some item or restocking right in the prime time of day instead of in the slow hour before that. I'm betting that has to do with cutting staff or something which is strange because the other annoyance I keep having is management meetings right in front of the meat section. If you want me to keep buying, have more stockers and get management off the floor during rush hour. read more

Long lines, they won't open lanes, then you have the lady that will yell at you if you try to self-checkout with two items over the limit. With the exception of the deli department, I didn't like this store to begin with, having the line curl all the way past into the main aisle is unacceptable read more

My wife had her wallet stolen out of her purse in this store and management was rude and unhelpful with looking at the cameras to identify the thief. I would definitely avoid this location. Schnucks isn't what it used to be... read more

Pretty sure a qualification to work at this store is to be rude!!! Deli counter, and self check out employees are not friendly at all! Even though the store is convenient located, I will be shopping elsewhere. read more

I certainly hope that Schnucks has dropped their slogan of being the friendliest stores in town. Cashiers are unfriendly and unhelpful and slow. They are too busy holding conversations with themselves instead of greeting customers. Usually I'm the one that has to initiate a hello but lately I've decided to stop even doing that. Horrible the employees suck, the self checkout is horrible it doesn't work, takes a hour to get out. I called and asked to have some pork cuts ready. Then when I got there Brandon said his cutters had gone home and he couldn't do that today.. messed up my barbecue. read more

I've been shopping at this store for ages, I have never come across such a rude employee in the self checkout as I did today, i was having problems with the checkout machine had to wait and try to get her attention to come help, I finally have to walk over and get her, she fixed it and then the second time I had trouble was after I was done and I paid it just kept saying please wait processing, so I waited a minute or so and it was stuck on that so I thought I'd put the grocery's in my cart while I was waiting well when I was done loading my cart it was still stuck on still processing so I had to call her over again and she started going off on me said that it was doing that cause I took my groceries off the table, I said no it was doing that before I took them off so she proceeded to chastize me and tell me I was wrong, all I can say is the employees should be more helpful not go off on us about what we're doing wrong, I don't work there, they do, she was just down right nasty , I'm not sure I will shop here again, way to many places to go, not worth being treated like crap read more

Prices are super high. Self checkout only works 1/3 of the time. What a waste of time.

I usually don't have problems in this store..But today there was one checker....and 2 women on self check..smh...I go to self check realizing I only have cash. I ask do they have one that just takes cash. The answer I got was go on the other side. So I went to the other side. None of the scanners are working. I just left. Left the cart there and groceries. Didn't Schnucks use to advertise "The friendliest Stores in Town". I use to only go to Schnucks to get steaks cut. But I haven't gotten steaks cut there for about a year now, everytime I would ask to get something cut the chubby gray haired butcher would act like it was such a problem. So I stopped buying my steaks there... Lately the people in the deli are just as rude. Most are very unfriendly and never smile. I asked one older black haired lady for a pound of baloney, thin sliced. She cut the whole pound thick and I politely said that's too thick my son won't eat it. She started yelling and through the baloney on the counter and kept going on and on and on, everyone was just looking at her in disbelief. As she was cutting the new pound i just turned around and left. I used to be a loyal customer, no more. read more

Ugh, I did not think it was possible to hate a grocery store this much. They are constantly out of the most asinine things. The staff is terribly unfriendly and unhelpful. And, maybe it's just the area we live in, but the people shopping in the store are also overwhelmingly rude. I can only politely say "Excuse me" a limited amount of times before I want to run over you with my cart. Since when do people stand in the DEAD middle of aisles and not think they're being atrociously rude? That said, this is the closest grocery store to our house and is a least one step (one SMALL step) above Shop 'N Save (whose seafood department consists of a folding table, a cooler, and two lobsters in a fish aquarium - not even joking). All I know is we were heading west on I-70, it was after midnight, and we needed to pick up grocieries for camping the next morning. This place totally came through for us! They're open 24/7 baby! Not every grociery store is open all the time, and they had all the necessities. My opinion might be different if I LIVED in O Fallon. :o) read more

Your typical Schnucks with a good bakery, Deli and meat department. Watch the sales and you can get some pretty good deals. They also have a surprisingly nice selection of craft beers! read more

It's a fairly large grocery store. It's like Safeway: nothing really special but they'll probably have what you need. The produce section is pretty good. I generally like its produce better than Shop & Save's but not quite as much as Dierberg's. It's almost as good as Dierberg's produce, though, and which one is better varies. E.g., This Schnucks seems to have the best selection of heirloom tomatoes (i.e., they usually have at least a few different varieties in season, which is more than other local stores, though they don't have many). There's also a produce store (Greyson's) on the other side of Veteran's Memorial Parkway if you are here 8 - 6 so it's convenient to check both places for the best deals and the produce you want most. There's a pretty good selection of local producers for their produce, frozen foods (e.g., Ted Drewes, DogTown Pizza, some Italian), beer, and wine, which is a nice touch. The bakery is ok. They have basic things like cookies, bread, donuts, etc. Nothing special and not particularly good but if you want something, it's convenient, decently priced and ok. (Very much like Safeway, only even more basic - no flan, fruit tarts with cream, etc. for you - for those who live near one.) I agree with Amanda C about ppl standing in the aisles. The aisles are wide (nice!) yet somehow ppl still manage to block them. But that's true at other stores here, too, and isn't worse at Schnucks than the other stores. Pull your carts over, ppl! This is a public space that you need to share, not your personal store that other shoppers are invading. Pay attention. I've had mostly good luck with the cashiers, who are usually friendly and efficient, but I usually go late at night so they're not as busy. Good parking lot. Prices are usually decent and sometimes excellent, depending on sales. read more

I have been shopping at schnucks for many years and tonight was the first time I have ever experienced a problem like I did tonight when you have a sale and don't honor your sale you will lose valued customers I will never shop at a schnucks location again I will go to dierbergs or shop and save to get My groceries worst experience I have had at shnucks and I still spent $175.00 because it wasn't the cashiers fault the store number is 129 in OFallon mo. read more

All they push is wings at their salad bar. We very rarely see casseroles any more. Plus, they don't has as much selection as Dierbergs in many cases. read more
