The shop was already closed for the day but an emergency number was listed which I called and left a message. To my surprise, I actually received a call back from a very kind lady who took my information and spoke to me about what I wanted. She asked me to call the shop the next morning which I did and spoke to another kind and helpful lady. I was traveling from FL to attend the funeral and felt comfortable giving a budget price then asking them to use their judgement in creating something nice for me. When I arrived at the funeral, our flowers were the centerpiece of the guest table. They were absolutely gorgeous and far exceeded my expectations. Can't say enough good things about my experience with Carol's Corner and the ladies who so kindly took care of me.

We used this company for our high school's prom for the last two years. The first year, the DJ…read moredidn't have any of our music downloaded and couldn't connect to the venue's wifi, so he didn't play anything that we wanted (and couldn't accommodate requests... but he asked for them anyway). What happened this year is reprehensible. During our dance, this DJ asked multiple high school-age girls for their phone numbers. He showed up to a kid's house party after the dance ended. That night, some students found a bio online that he had written saying proms were his favorite events to work, but, in our call weeks before, he told me that this was his first prom. This detail has now been removed. We reported this incident to Millennium Productions. Their excuse for a solution is to restrict this DJ from working proms in the future. We are extremely disappointed in the company's failure to fully hold its employees accountable for inexcusable predatory behavior. Do not work with them.

We contracted this company to provide day-of wedding coordination services, which according to the…read morecontract includes help the month before the wedding in fine tuning all the details for the big day. The coordinator, Charlotte, is an amazingly sweet and good-natured woman. She had all the best intentions, and she made it clear our experience was her top priority. For a fee of only $200 total, Charlotte consulted with me on my wedding day details a handful of times and attended my ceremony rehearsal and rehearsal dinner, and spent the entire day helping us to set-up the hall. I'm quite the organized bride, and I walked through all the details of what would be happening / what needed to be done extensively. I'm only providing her three stars because my new husband informs me that our coordinator was (1) late to the venue, and (2) didn't really coordinate anything the day of. He tells me that she was sweet and pleasant, and she took direction well. That's great, but we needed someone who would provide the direction. I.e. We needed a type-A personality to take control, make decisions, and ensure everything ran smoothly. In addition, Charlotte left without saying good bye at some unknown time, which we can only assume was shortly after the ceremony as I never saw her again. My matron-of-honor and my husband did ALL of the actual coordination post-ceremony, and there were quite a few issues to address! The services she provided before the wedding were great, and well worth the money. The day of services, however, need some significant improvement. I strongly feel if Charlotte took the plunge to be a full-time wedding planner, then she would thrive in the field and develop more confidence. I would definitely recommend hiring her for pre-wedding planning. If you want to hire her for day-of-services, then you should spend the extra money and time to hire her to help plan from the beginning. I think the extra time might give her a better foothold on what needs to be done.

The pictures really don't do justice to the beauty and grandeur of the huge spaces, which were completely transformed, which was good because our venue was not particularly attractive. It truly looked even better than what I could even dream of. These services don't come cheap, but Allison was very transparent with pricing of individual items, was willing to work with our budget, and saved us money wherever possible by reusing items between events. She threw in the most beautiful custom dance floor wrap for no extra charge for our reception, which was so appreciated! As a planner, Allison was so thoughtful and warm. With her in charge, we probably had the world's only on time Indian wedding. Allison's schedule was immaculate and I can't imagine how everything could have run as smoothly as it did without her behind the scenes calling vendors, directing traffic, and putting out fires. Her hard work allowed us to enjoy our big day that much more. Our only feedback would be that Allison put so much effort in that she was clearly stretched thin so we often felt like we had to go over the same details multiple times during the planning process and day of, some details (but not essential ones) were not executed the way we envisioned. I think this would happen in any situation where the lead decorator and coordinator of a 300 person event were the same person, so that is something to consider with bigger events. On the flip side, having the same person as planner and decorator made those two essential pieces that much more coordinated. 10 out of 10 would recommend, thank you Allison and team!!!

Parties & Props is the best and I cannot thank you enough!

I had a few ideas of which food I wanted based on their catering menu, but Dan made some great suggestions that I had not thought of. Additionally, he covered all the details that our event venue didn't even mention to me. For example, he asked how I would be playing music and I had no idea. He told me the options provided by the venue and recommended types of music that would be good for this type of event. Note that the venue I used was not associated with his catering company - he was just being nice and helpful. He was also very easy to get in contact with. I have definitely worked with other event-related services that are hard to reach and it is a nightmare, so consider this important aspect if you need your event to go well! The planning aspect of it all went so smoothly and I could not have done it without his help. The evening of the event, caterers were already hard at work by the time I got there. They had set everything up - buffet tables, tablecloths throughout venue, bar with bartender, etc... All I had to do was connect my phone to the Bluetooth for music and start greeting guests when they came in. They seriously made it so easy and I feel like that isn't even their job. Each staff member was friendly and helpful. I could ask them anything and they'd gladly help me find the answer. Not only that, but the FOOD WAS DELICIOUS!!! I wish I had taken pictures but I was too busy with hosting. Everyone I talked to at the event raved about the food choices. We had the following items in the buffet: -Salmon with Ginger Soy Glaze -Stuffed Chicken Breast (Herb Cheese with Balsamic Drizzle) -Broccoli Pancotto -Vegan Summer Pasta -Vegan House Salad -Fresh Breads with Butter -Dessert: Cake Shots -Drinks: Soda, Water, Beer, and Wine In summary, I would strongly recommend Hendri's for anyone who needs a catering service! They fulfill all of the top requirements for an important event, in my opinion - smooth planning process, excellent service before and during event, and delicious food.

Hiring Aaren and her team was hands-down the best thing I ever did! I knew when I got engaged that…read moreI needed someone to help with the little details since I knew there would be a lot of them. I met with Aaren about a year before my wedding date and during our first meeting I really think we hit it off just right. I felt like I was talking to someone who truly "got me". I think Aaren knew that I was a Type-A (OCD) bride and she was able to calm my nerves. During our meeting she explained to me the different packages they offered. I knew I wanted a day before/day of person, but I also liked the idea of having someone help out during the month off for all of the other things. I wanted to do all the planning, but I needed someone to do the implementation. It was a done deal. I left that meeting and I knew I needed Aaren in my life! Soon after our first meeting I called her to confirm and sign a contract! It was a huge relief for me to know that I had Aaren. She made me feel at ease. Throughout the process I e-mailed her questions about etiquette and I kept her up-to-date with other vendors. I knew she was keeping a folder so whenever I had an update I would send it her way. I would like to think I wasn't a needy bride, but I know there were times when I started panicking for no reason. Aaren always calmed me down. By the week of my wedding I had a ton of items and decorations to drop off with her. I met her in her office and talked through my "vision" and provided her all the items she needed. She also had all my other vendor information and told me she would be in contact with them for the timeline of the event. I did not need to worry about anything! Honestly, it felt great to not have to worry about anything. I think I did a good job of just letting things go. Aaren and 2 assistants arrived for the rehearsal and had all the details confirmed for the next day. By the day of the wedding I was actually very "chill" since I knew Aaren and her team would make sure the ceremony and reception were set up correctly. She was my point person for the day and did an awesome job at handling all the day of things. By the time I made it to my reception the everything was set up just as I had hoped. Aaren really did listen to me and she made sure everything was just right. I knew I could trust her to get things done right. Again, as a type-A person it was hard to let go, but Aaren was the best person for me to trust. I didn't even worry about anything. There were a few minor issues that came up throughout the day, but with her help no one knew anything! It was flawless and my wedding was everything I had ever imagined it would be. Thanks to Aaren and her team for all of their help and assistance to help make my wedding day magical.

After my sister had her first baby, she and her husband wanted to get the whole fancy package of "naked baby doing cute things." (I know you know the type). We had heard good things about Artisan and seriously, people were right. The photographer was completely patient with the crabby baby, and kept taking shots till he knew we had a lot of good choices. Also, they were very professional in the way they treated the baby, my sister and my brother-in-law. You get to pick your favorites from an array online and you can send the links along to your family and friends so they can choose which pictures they want to order as well. (or they can just ooh and aaah over how cute your baby is). They do weddings too, but that is not my experience. However, considering how wonderful my nieces pictures came out, I can't imagine that the wedding or senior pictures they would do would come out any less perfect. I mean, my niece is incredibly adorable, but the photographer really was great.

He traveled from STL to KC to shoot our wedding and the extra cost for his travel was completely worth it. He takes plenty of shots of everything so you have more than enough to choose from AND 99% of them are awesome, so it's kind of hard to choose a few favorites. We hired an extra photographer for our wedding day who happened to be Tim's wife, Heather. They are both extremely professional and patient. If you're waffling between Tim and another photographer because of price, I would say stop deliberations and call Tim at Artisan--totally worth it!
